Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Kris began her journey in June 2016 when she was admitted to Elkhart Hospital for pancreatitis.  She returned to the hospital 3 more times in  a 1 month period for reoccurring pancreatic attacks.  Her 3rd visit she was rushed to IU Indy where they placed her on a feeding tube to try and heal the pancreas.   She continued on the feeding tube for 45 days, when it was removed she was then scheduled for a pancreatic biopsy.  It was then that they diagnosed her with pancreatic cancer ( August 17th).   While the team of doctors met to come up with a medical plan she had a nerve block procedure to help with the pain.   On August 29th Dr. Kio at IU Goshen Center for Cancer diagnosed her with Stage 4 pancreatic & liver cancer.
