Al was recently and abruptly diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
After being sick since mid December with very few answers from numerous doctors visits, some unusual spots were seen on a scan of Allen's liver in early February. He was referred for an MRI, but because of severe pain ended up in the ER where they did a CAT scan.
The news was then broken to him that he has Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer that has already Metastasized to the liver and lungs. This obviously comes as a great shock to everyone.
Allen just retired at the end of December after working his entire life to support his wife and children. He and Dar were looking forward to years of living out their dreams, traveling, and finally getting to spend the rest of their days enjoying each others company. This news has sadly unraveled those dreams.
Allen will be undergoing Palliative Chemo treatments to try to relieve some of the symptoms he is enduring.
