Some of you know this already, and some I have not had a chance to tell you yet. In July, I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. A couple of weeks before that, I found out that I was four weeks pregnant. These past couple of months have been a whirlwind of joy, LOTS of doctor's appointments, relief, anxiety, sadness, hopefulness, and a whole bunch of other emotions. Since my diagnosis, I was super lucky to be connected with a team of doctors at Dana Farber and Brigham & Women's Hospital who are taking excellent care of me and monitoring my pregnancy. Included in "my team" are my amazing family and friends, who have shown an incredible amount of love and support through this whole ordeal. I had surgery to remove the lump in my breast on September 20. Over the course of the next several months, I will be undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and hormonal therapy. This group is a place for my loved ones to send messages of encouragement, as well as for updates on how I'm doing.
