Alex has been fighting this lung disease for over a year. He was misdiagnosed and is now on the road to find out what lung disease he may have. His case is currently being reviewed on a daily basis by the Northwestern Lung Transplant team . This doesn't mean he will be having a lung transplant anytime soon. We are currently waiting on a blood panel to come back so a diagnose can be done. So far they are thinking along the lines of autoimmune lung disease. I will keep an update on this website. Thank you
update: Alex has been diagnosed with ILD as known as Interstitial Lung Disease which leads into Pulmonary fibrosis.
