Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. As most of you know - during a routine scan, we found out Alex's cancer had returned in the beginning of 2019. On February 18th, he had surgery to remove the lymph nodes in his abdomen where the cancer was found (they ended up removing about 10 in total.) The next step in the treatment plan is 6 months of chemotherapy, followed by radiation. Alex will be receiving the treatment in Minneapolis, and we will take turns as a family going to stay with him. He has a wonderful network of friends nearby as well. There is still a long road ahead, but we are hopeful this time the cancer will be gone for GOOD. They anticipate the treatment will start in early May - once we have specific details we will let you all know.

Alex is in good spirits, and has remained tremendously optimistic through all of this. He is ready to tackle this head on! He has been an inspiration to us all.

We feel incredibly lucky to have such fantastic friends and family. Your support means more to us than we could ever explain. Thank you for everything.
