I started this caring bridge for my husband Alex. Many of you who know Alex know that he has suffered from hydrocephalus for his whole life! Well the last year has been especially tough and he has needed 4 shunt revisions in the last year and a half! He has also been suffering from more severe daily headaches that have just started within the last year and a half. Talking to his doctors they have decided they believe a lot of the issues that he has been having and the reasons that his shunts have not been working right in that time is because of the defect that he has in his forehead. They have decided that it is time to try another reconstructive surgery...we are a little skeptical because he has had this surgery twice before and it has always ended in infection. Alex is very nervous because of this possibility. His surgery will be taking place tomorrow morning! I will be making updates tomorrow and throughout his recovery process!
