Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. Alexa is 16 years old, she’s kind, funny, smart, and LOVES to DANCE. She dances on Hudson High School Raidaires Dance Team and competitively for Helmer Dance Studio in Hudson, WI. Until recently, life was pretty amazing. She spent her days at school or with family, friends, and her boyfriend, Devon. Unfortunately, in the past 6 months, Alexa has struggled with debilitating headaches, severe dizziness, and blurry vision. On March 18, 2016, Alexa and her family received news that her MRI showed a Colloid Cyst, a rare, slow growing tumor in the third ventricle of her brain. After months of consultation with neurosurgeons and increasing symptoms, Alexa is scheduled for brain surgery on June 8, 2016 at Children’s Hospital in St. Paul.
