On the morning of Friday, December 9, Abby and her two friends, Shanna and Kyla, were in terrible car accident as they were driving the busy California freeway to a morning class at The Master's University. That morning, in God’s providence, a pole (bigger than 10 cm in diameter) came off of a utility truck and through the windshield of Abby’s car, hitting her head. By God's grace, Shanna was able to grab the steering wheel, and the girls landed on the side of the freeway amidst bumps with big rigs and a very busy freeway. We praise God that Shanna and Kyla were spared great harm and walked away from the accident that day, shaken but with only mild abrasions. However, our dear Abby remains in the hospital fighting for her life! She sustained considerable trauma to her head. After hours of surgery December 9th, she was placed in a medically-induced coma to help her rest and recover. From day one, Abby has shown she is a fighter! She is making good progress in sub-acute care.
