The Scarefactory debuted its first catalog line of characters and props for sale to the Themed Attraction Industry in 1996. On July 17, 1997, David and his wife Alice welcomed their son Cameron into the world. David continues to produce a variety of events, culminating in the production of stadium tour dates for U2's Popmart Tour and The Rolling Stones' Bridges to Babylon Tour. As the concert industry continued to consolidate, SFX, Inc. purchased the Polaris Amphitheater in 1998. David sells his stake in PromoWest to focus solely on The Scarefactory, Inc.
