(November 13, 2017) – CaringBridge, the Minnesota-based nonprofit organization created so people experiencing a health journey can remain connected to their family and friends, hires Elizabeth Olson as Chief Financial Officer. Olson will oversee all financial aspects of CaringBridge and further its mission to amplify the love, hope and compassion in the world.

Olson brings more than 25 years experience to CaringBridge, including rebuilding the finance and accounting function for Volunteers of America, a diversified $46 million social services agency; and managing all financial interests for Grassroots Solutions, Inc., a nationally-known engagement and advocacy consulting firm with an annual revenue of $7-$10 million. “I am excited to join an organization that has been providing a vital digital service for families dealing with challenging health issues for the past 20 years. I look forward to working closely with the CaringBridge team to ensure financial success for the organization as it continues to grow and help more families.” said Olson.

Olson also lends her financial and leadership skills as a volunteer for a number of local organizations. She serves on the Financial Leadership Committee at the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, is the treasurer for the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra, and is a trustee for womenwinning.

“Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience in the financial field, having worked for a variety of large nonprofit and advocacy-based organizations,” said Liwanag Ojala, CEO of CaringBridge. “Her financial expertise and dedication to making a difference in the community are crucial assets that will help CaringBridge impact more people’s lives and further the mission of our organization.”
