I've not been able to sign in as an author in quite some time. Today I was unable to find the site. I was afraid it had been deleted!
It was an overwhelmingly emotional little while til I found it.
I'm not sure how many still look here, but it means so much to us that many have over the years. I'm glad we still have this opportunity and I hope to update soon. Til then know that our young Beloved one is doing well. God has a plan. It's all good!

I don't know if you remember me, but I was one of the nurses who took care of Michael when he was at Duke. My friend Lucy sent me the info for his page a long time ago, but I haven't checked it in a bit. I will NEVER forget your AMAZING little guy and I couldn't be happier that he is thriving! On my very last shift at Duke I remember the last thing I did was go over to the Bone Marrow Unit to visit Michael. I am truly happy for Michael and your family-

I know we need to update. Sorry about that.
Micahel Patrick is doing really well. His hair is still not ready for donating, but Jewel got it into a ponytail today. To the folks doing Team in Training, we send good wishes and gratitude.

Hi all y'all
That is all who check the website. Over a year since I have, and it went by really fast. Rainbow of Heros walk was great, and I hope to go again in 2010. The awards dinner was awesome! the early bmt survivors have done marvelous things with their lives.
I was bitten by the "camping" bug and went with the Wrens last month. That led to wanting more, and we're going for Labor Day weekend, but just Jean and the boys this time due to work schedules and distance.
I am grateful for all of you out there, and join in prayers for all.
Love, G'ma Jo

I met Michael at Give Kids the World in August of 2006. I had the wonderful pleasure of spending a couple of days with him and his amazing family, fishing off of the dock into the pond at the Village. Michael's smile and laugh touched my heart then, and I continue to think about him now. I'm so happy to see that he's still doing well (and getting interested in running at that!). He provides inspiration for me, and I hope to keep reading better and better updates on him!

It was so great meeting you Saturday after our training run. You are awesome and I told my kids all about you. They were very excited about my "Dino-mite Award" and I have it above the fireplace where I see it everyday. It reminds me of you and our other "heroes" that we are running for- You are an inspiration!!! Carla

Hi Michael! It was nice to meet you and your mom this weekend at the L&LS team in training kick-off. It was really brave of you to come out and help inspire so many people to help raise money to help find a cure for cancer. I am running the San Diego Rock'n'Roll marathon, and have a son of my own (Evan is 15 months old). I am proud to be running in honor of you! And hopefully someday, we wont have a need to run to raise money for cancer, because we'll have a cure! :) Take care of yourself. We'll see you at the next event!

Sincerely, Colleen Albert

Hi Wrens!
I hope you are all doing great. I'm sorry I missed you at the Walk this year. I wanted to let you to know that I have finished my fellowship at Duke and have a job in DC which I will be starting in August. It was a pleasure taking care of Michael and I'm so happy he is doing so well. I will never forget the night he was transferred to our PICU, he was holding Funshine (?) Care Bear and was answering questions and didn't seem to be scared at all! Then, of course, there's all the spider web he covered me in! Well, take care..

Blessings to you,
