My dear little grandson Brodie,
Well, Christmas 2006 has just passed, and Santa must have thought you and sister Blaire were very good throughout the year because he left you so many presents. You were the best shepherd of all in the Christmas play at church. Nona and I love to hear you and "Sissy" sing the familiar Christmas songs. I thank God for you every day, Brodie. As the song says, "You are my sunshine...You make me happy when skies are gray." Not enough words have been coined to express the love I have for you; you are the BEST grandson ever! May God continue to watch over you and your family. All my love now and always, Papa Dwight

Dear Little Brodie,
I am so happy that the Lord has touched your life. Every day I pray that He has given you a complete healing. You are such a special little boy, and I love you with all my heart. God has a definite plan for your life. The other woes of life are so trivial when compared to the trial you have faced. God has brought you through, and that's all that matters. Dear sweet Grandson Brodie,
What a blessing it was to hear that you are medically declared NED (No Evidence of Disease). God has worked a miracle in your little life. May God continue to make you stronger and protect you with each passing day. At Weir High, on Friday, April 15, the Key Club/Hi-Y Annual Charity Basketball Game's proceeds will go to you and Aaron Davies. Everyone has been so kind through this horrendous ordeal. I hope that everyone continues to remember Aaron in prayer. He needs a complete healing. I love you so much, Brodie. God has a wonderful plan for your life. Papa Dwight

You're home! We celebrated your third birthday on Sat.,Mar. 5. God is helping you to get stronger each day. It is so good to see that little smile again. You are truly an angel of mercy and a product of God's grace. You have so many friends who are praying for you, and God is hearing and answering prayers. Brodie, I know it's been a while since I wrote to you however I am not one to sit behind the computer often. I just wanted to let you know that our priest at Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine will be traveling to our Lady of Lourdes in Portugal within this week to offer up our special intentions and your name was placed on the petition. We think and pray for you daily. You are a brave young man and may our precious Lord keep you in his care.

To my favorite grandson Brodie,
It is always a sad time to see you have to go back into the hospital, and I usually don't sleep well. That is when I ask God for a special dose of patience. You are my heart, little one, and I know God is going to grant you a complete healing. Until I see you again, stay strong and courageous. Soon you will be back to your old self, and all of us who love you so much can breathe a sigh of relief. I love you beyond human expression. Papa Dwight

I made hundreds of dine and donate letters for you and I hope I will need to make more. Just a reminder for everyone to keep the coupons in your car and eat at "Eat and Park."

Hi Brodie! It sure was great having you and Blaire and Mommy and Daddy over for Thanksgiving dinner. Even though you took a good nap, it was good seeing you eat so much mashed potatoes. Hopefully your counts will come up enough soon to have your surgery to remove that nasty tumor. We still pray continually for God to heal your little body. We love you sooo, sooo much! Blaire sure loves it when you and Mommy are home from the hospital. You're doing great and there are tons of love and support out there for you. The childrens dept. at Weirton Church of Nazarene are doing a Home Interior candle fundraiser for you this whole week, in case anyone wants any, they can call your grandma Faith (748-0323) and I can get the order to someone. Take care, little guy! Love and prayers. Grandma and PapPap.... xoxoxoxo

Hi Brodie,
This is the silly one from Texas that keeps on praying for you all the time. You have been on my mind all week and I have been just saying prayers for you to get all better. I am just here and you are just there. I look at the pictures all the time. Cause I dont ever want to forget just exactly how cute you are. Grandma tells me that you have a fever again, and that you arent feeling very good right now. I am really hoping they find out why you are feeling so hot.
I just wanted to let you know that I am still praying and thinking about you all the time.
Tell your Grandma something for me.
The other day when I was driving to work. I was listening to my Christmas music like I have been doing since September. And I was really into it. So I was singing along with the music like I alwasy do. And I started smelling our Dads Cologne. And it was very strong. So strong that it made me stop singing and start smelling. I even looked around the car to see if there was something there that would be smelling like our Dad use to. You know I work in a candle factory so I was thinking that some of the wax from a candle got in my car. There was nothing!!!!!
So I just kept on smelling very deeply. Like I couldnt get enough of the smell. Then just as fast as I started smelling it, it went away. So I want you to tell your Grandma that our Dad has been to visit me. And that I know he is watching over all of us. I dont know why it was me that he came to that day. But I feel that our family is going to be alright. Faith when you read this PLEASE e-mail me. Cause as I speek about it right now I get chills. It was AWSOME. Brodie, you need to know that the angels are watching over you. BIG TIME!!!!
I love you honey, Your Aunt Mel

Hi Brodie, How's our little guy doing? We love you and care so much about you! Wanted to give everyone an update on the Eat'n Park Dine and Donate. We have a few more places that have agreed to be locations for pick-up of the coupons: St. Joseph School, Ted's Plaza Pharmacy, 7 Eleven, Curves, and Particular's Hair Salon. Thank you to all of you. Also, this weekend, St. Jospeh the Worker Church will be putting your picture along with the Dine and Donate Flyer in 800 bulletins! Your friend Lou Lou asked the law office of Dan McCune to make these copies. A big thank you to Dan and everyone who has been so generous. Also, my church(St. Joseph the Worker) is having a bazaar at their new St. Joseh Center(across from Madonna H.S.). Father Dube is letting us set up with a can and the flyers! Everyone is invited to come and check out the crafts, food and OUR TABLE. More later! Love, Patty

Brodie, the Dine and Donate at Eat 'n Park starts today. Anytime someone turns in one of your coupons with their bill, Eat 'n Park will donate 10% of the bill to The Brian Muha Memorial Foundation. The sooner we get these coupons out, the better! The following places have agreed to be a location where the public can pick up coupons: Weir High School, Madonna High School,Liberty School, Weirton Heights School, St. Paul School, St. Joseph the Worker Church(vestibule), and Granato's Deli. Hi Brodie,
This is your Aunt Mel from Texas. I just want you to know that I am praying for you daily. And sometimes all day long. I know we will lick this thing that keeps putting you back in the hospital. Cause we are among the strong people in the world. I love you very much. And I think about you and Blair and Mommy and Daddy all the time. Infact Michael just wrote me and told me just how much he misses your dad. Michael is moving down here with me as soon as he can, and I think that will be some time in December. Michelle and Devon are coming down to visit me over the Thanksgiving holiday. I wish I could see you and just hold you one time. I miss you so very much. And I miss all the family too. I also wish that we could all be together again like it was way back when. I never thought I could miss anyone as much as I miss all of you guys. You just remember one thing, and that is that your one Aunt here in Texas loves you very much. And I love Mommy and Daddy and Blair very much too. I will come back home some day and when I do, you better be very sure that I am coming to see all you guys.
I am sending all the love I can through this computer. I dont have any other way to send my love right now. I have only been on your site twice. But I will keep in touch with you. I loved seeing the pictures of you and Daddy and Blair and Mommy. Tell Grandma Faith that she hasnt changed a bit. I was expecting some gray hair by now. Oh Well, tell her that I have all the gray now. She will get a real big kick out of hearing that one.
I love you honey.
Take care of U

Hi, Brodie,
You're the best little grandson in the whole world! It was so nice having you and Blaire at our house last night. I am so thankful you are feeling well. It does my heart good to know you have so many thoughtful and kind people praying for you and working to meet your family's financial needs. God has been with us every step of the way, and I know He will touch and heal your little body. It's like Grandma Beth used to say when she would stand up in church and testify: God can make a way when there seems to be no way. God has a plan for your life, and you will accomplish great things to thank God for His mercy. I love you, little boy, and will always be there for you. Papa Dwight

There's Hope In Each New Day

When life is filled with challenges
Fight back with heart and soul.
Face each one with confidence
To win the utmost goal.
Anyone can be a winner
When God is on their side.
Just trust his loving providence
For it can turn the tide.
And if it is a Miracle
You need to see you through,
You may just find that miracle
Will Wing It's Way to You. Amen

My precious little grandson Brodie,
How fantastic it was to see you in such good spirits after your second chemo treatment. No pain...no sores...no infection. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Your little voice and magnetic smile melt my heart. Every time I read your messages, tears fill my eyes, but they are tears of happiness. Christians everywhere from all denominations care about you and are praying for you, and, as the song says, "Faith in God can move a mighty mountain." God's people stand in agreement that a miracle is in the making, and when this episode of your little life is over, we will all glorify the name of Jesus for your complete healing. Brodie, Papa and Nona love you so much and pray that God will bless others as He has blessed us with you. Special love and prayers, Papa Dwight

Hi Brodie, Just wanna you to know, You took grandma Jackie by surprise when I called your hospital room and you (Brodie) answer the phone in your sweet little voice and said "Hi". You sounded just like a big boy and just wanna to talk with grammy over the phone. I could tell in your little voice that you were feeling much better. You let me know you were watching a movie, you and mommy took a walk and that mommy was sleeping, which she wasn't. Just Brodie being funny. When Brodie is done talking, he tells you by and if you keep talking Brodie just keeps telling you by, but If he wants to talk, he will talk. Can't wait till you get home, I promise to bring papa's big truck up so you can stand (play) in the back of it. See you on Sunday, Love you with all my heart and soul grandma Jackie. PS.
Brodie gets to come home tomorrow, Sept.24,2004. Sissy will be very happy to see Daddy, Mommy, and Brodie. Sissy was a little upset when they left for the hospital, she wanna to go. She is just to little to understand what is going on. All she knows is Daddy, Mommy, and Brodie were going bye-bye without her. Sissy, grandma Jackie didn't forget about you, Love you with all my heart and soul, too. See you both on Sunday.

Hi Brodie, In my last update to all of your friends at Liberty School, I asked for continued prayers. Our prayer was that you would not come home with any sores and that the tumor would be blasted into oblivion!!!!!! Parents of a little girl named Theresa Roche are also praying very hard for you too. They know what the power of prayer can do. You see, Brodie, Theresa needs prayers too. She has Spinal Muscular Atrophy and needs a miracle. You both WILL be healed because the prayers of those who care about you two little ones have been nonstop and have certainly knocked down heaven's door. We will not stop. And once you both are healed, the prayers will then be those of thanksgiving. Love, Patty
P.S. Theresa's parents recently went on a pilgrimage to Rome. Along with prayers for their daughter, they told me that they will be praying for you there.

Hi my little Brodie!!!
I was just thinking about you. No I have to take that back. I think about you constantly. I was just thinking about when you were little and Grandma would keep you, and I would come over to her house. I would always have to take your clothes off so I could see you legs. You have the most muscular legs of any baby I have ever seen. Even you Grandma would get a little mad at me sometimes when I had your clothes off and they were laying there beside you all the time. I remember one night Grandma asked me to keep you for a little while and we played on my living room floor for the longes time. But you werent happy till I took your pants off, and then you were cooler and we had a great time. You need to know that even in Texas there are prayers going up for you every day. And even sometimes more than once. I think about you at least a half a dozen times a day. So God sees that you are loved even from your relatives in Texas. I will send you a lttle note from time to time just to let you know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers. And so is PapPap and Nona and Greandma and Garrett and just everyone up there that is going through all this trial. And especially Mommy and Daddy. I love you little one. Hang in there, and maybe someday we will be able to play on the living room floor again like when you were just a wee one.
All my love and prayers.

Hi, dear little Brodie,
You came home yesterday, and I thank the Lord for our time together. I got to see you smile and yell "Go! Go!" as you watched the football game. What a joy it was to hear your little voice yelling karate calls! God is working, as we knew he would; and you are part of His great plan. I thank Him every day that you are my special, only grandson. I love you supremely. Your papa

Hey Brodie,
Your friends in Florida again. I was thinking last night about how you were in the hospital sometimes, like people here are in shelters away from home because of the Hurricane storm.

We had a tree fall down in our back yard and many people had water and even FISH in their living rooms. You can imagine yourself...you have your own little storm inside your body...Think of those things in your body that don't belong there...think of sweeping out the water and fish from your living room. Imagine yourself...taking little saws and clippers and removing peice by peice the little tree that doesn't belong whenever something hurts. You will probably need to pick up each of the small leaves and branches and throw them in a pile outside your house.

Sometimes when you think hard like this it helps to make you feel better.

I would like to send you pictures and maybe write you a little story you could read about the storm we had. All the people here are like you in a way...letting other people like your Doctors and Nurses help them get better.
That can be a real adventure and everyone must be very brave. I heard you are a very brave boy and doing really well. Keep up the good work!

Brodie, you are truly one of God's little brave angels. You are so very special and have so many people who love you and care about you. Sometimes sad things happen to remind us how much we love God's little children and how valuable they are to our lives. We are so happy to hear you're eating again - that's wonderful news. We thank your Great Aunt Penny and her family for keeping us updated on your progress. We send kisses, hugs and lots of prayers to you and your family.
