Rachel and Family

I am proud to say that I am from Ainsworth Nebraska the same town as Shelly Doyle and her family. Shelly is a wonderful and caring lady, even thought she probably does not remember me. She was my discharge nurse after I had our son Braxton. She was very caring and made sure everything was just right before we left the hosptial. I can't imagine going through the things that your family and the Doyles have been through. Our payers are with both family's

I love to hear the wonderful news of another life saved by transplant. We have a son who needed a kidney transplant and I was lucky enough to be able to donate one of my kidneys for him way back in 1986. Well my kidney lasted all of 17 years and for some reason decided it was wore out and Jeff had to have another kidney transplant. This time it was his father's turn to donate a kidney and that transplant happened just in December of 2003. Yes both his mother and father were able to donate him a kidney and believe it or not both of Jeff's sisters are matches too. We can relate of what prayers can do for everyone and also what God has plans for all of us too as it has opened our eyes to the wonderful world of friends and neighbors that will pray for all of us.
God Bless You all in what is instore for all of us in our lives.

I read the article June 21, 2004 in the Norfolk Daily News with tears of joy. I know I can not relate to what your family, Racheal and the donor's family is going through and been through. Being a mother myself I can not even imagine! I will keep you in my prayers and congrats on your one year!

I am so happy for Rachal. My brother past away in November 1986. My mother and the rest of her 6 children keep in touch with all his doners. It is very tough even after all these years but it is all worth it. It is very important to keep in touch, it will be a very special bond that will be a special part of you forever and most of all Rachal. The people that recieved his organ are what keep my brother Jimmy alive. Take care and we will pray for Rachal and her family everyday.

Dear "Family" --

I read with many tears of Joy and Pride the Norfolk (NE)Daily News wonderful article on our two families! (norfolkdailynews.com) July 21, 2004.

I am so full of Joy and Gratitude for BOTH our families! It has been so wonderful hearing the stories from Shelly, but to read it in words is Totally Amazing! (Thank you Lord!)

To top off the wonderful written word and Great News, the timing is such a God-instance. My best friend from Nashville TN is in Norfolk this week, and his son, Matt (who will be here tomorrow from Nashville) were MY TEACHERS and PRAYER CHAIN STARTERS, and GIVERS of HOPE from Matt's winning battle and Gift of remission back in 1982. Their Experience in Winning the Battle were such great help to me.

They were living in Norfolk then, when Matt was stricken with leukemia. Such a scarey word still! Without the help of the Leukemia Society and friends such as Jim and Matt Casey, my road would have been even scarier. Reading the article and having the flood of such scarey thoughts come back, now gives me Gratitude, Love, Pride, and most importantly -- Hope -- to this disease we hated to hear about that first time.

Another God instance is that Cody is at Camp LoHoCo (Love, Hope and Courage) near Omaha this week, and I pray Rachael will be attending also such cancer camps as she approaches her teen age years!

God Bless you and your Family, and thank you for making me even prouder of my daughter.

I will help out to the best of my ability. Take care. God Bless You. Give your little girl a hug and a kiss for me and let her know I will think about her and her family all the time.

What a fantastic story! I am Shelly's dad, and I am so proud and blessed. She always was a giving person, but with our own family's Trials with Cody, we are all sucked into this wonderful world of Giving, Sharing, Praying, Hoping, Healing, and gaining on this troublesome disease. May God continue to Bless Rachel and OUR family of compassionate, loving and Miracle's in our mist! Congratulations and continued healing!
Oh, and I have this Deal with My God -- everytime I see a penny on the ground, I pick it up and Praise God for His Miracle for my grandson.
