Friday, December 17, 2004 11:06 AM CST JT is doing great. Right now hes hanging out with his gma in Fredericksburg. I got a phone call yesterday from the red cross and i think we are going to be on tv on the 21 of this month. isnt that great? im pretty excited. Lauren is doing great in school and shes getting good grades. We put up the tree and im proud of the kids they havent messed with it yet. Can you believe that JT birthday is around the corner. He will be 2 years old Jan. 6th. well i need to get so i hope everyone is well. If I dont update again i hope everyone has a great holiday. Thursday, November 11, 2004 2:42 PM CST JT is doing great. We just had alot of the usual testing done again and right now we havent heard anything so no news is good news. Hes everywhere. He talks alot now. He can say stuff like mama, dada, tata, milk, juice, Lauren, LaLa, grandma, bamaw, go, yes, no well you guys get the picture im sure. He is so big now. We oly have to go into the Dr. every 6 months for major testing an then every four months for blood draws. YAY! He will be 2 in January. Can you uys believe that? The picture up top is pretty recent so that is what he looks like right now. Yes all that hair. Lauren is doing well also. Shes doing well in school and we think that she might start going to private school next year. Shes 8 now and she ats like she 15 sometimes. Well i am still in school and keeping busy. i hope everyone is doing well and plaese keep in touch with us. Sunday, February 1, 2004 10:55 AM CST hello everyone. i just wanted to say hi and congrats to lisa miller and family cause shes 41/2 months prego! i wish you nothing but the best. i want an invite to the shower! lol. well jt is doing great, he has a little cold right now so he feels icky but besides all that he crawling everywhere and is trying to walk. can u guys believe that? ya know we are coming up on his 1 year feb the 3rd of him being diagnosed with cancer. it seems like it was so long ago but at the same time it feels like yesterday. i miss all the people at the hospital. all the kids. its hard for me to keep in contact with everyone cause were so busy. im going to start school shortly at tcc and then i really wont have anytime for anything. well i need to go grocery shopping. todays the superbowl so im sure the place will be packed so i need to get started. i hope everyone is well.

Wednesday, December 10, 2003 0:09 AM CST ok so we went and did the ct/hearing test/biopsy today. he did really well. the only answer we got todaay is that he has good hearing and that we have to come back tommorrow to drop of his urine. we have an appt with bevan tomorrow and then whats next? we find out the answers to our test on thursday or friday.

Wednesday, November 19, 2003 6:24 PM CST well we went to go get all his byopsy stuff done yesterday and we missed it. the ppl dint call me and let me know anything. its rescheduled for this friday. Saturday, November 8, 2003 2:03 PM CST well we taled to the dr and he said that little spot on jts liver...he wants to byopsy it. just to make sure that its scar tissue. we dont have a date and time yet. he will be doing it with a needle while hes getting his ct scan done. otherwise hes doing great. jts teeth are coming in but it his vampire teeth. his front top teeth havent came in yet. the dr said that they could have messed up his teeth buds when he got intabated. will all this slow down anytime? Saturday, October 11, 2003 8:17 AM CDT hello everyone. jt is fine i just thought i would update it. i got up pretty early this morning and dad came home from work early cause it rained. i have a ? maybe someone could answer...jt eats jar food right now but everytime he sees me eating he wants my food. well when i give the food to him he just wants more and if he is eating jar food at the same time he wont eat it anymore cause he wants my food. what should i do about that? should i start him on ppl food now? Friday, September 12, 2003 6:18 PM CDT well we went monday and had jts bone scan done. then tuesday we had to come back in for his mibg injection . thursday we had a clinic appt and he had to have a foley put in for 24 hours. wen went back today and had his mibg and his ct scan. thursday while we were in clinic dr bevan said that the bone scan was clean!!!!!!!!!!!!! they told me today that jt has a appointment for his port to be REMOVED on october 1st. im so excited. this is all good stuff. jt acted well through all his test and his just sleepy today. so let me go and ill write more later. Sunday, July 13, 2003 5:02 PM CDT SORRY! i know that im slackin' well i will get on with it and let you know. jt is doing good he dint get his chemo. usually he will get chemo and bottom out with 8-10 days. well he gets shots of neupegen so it will help him out then we go back into clinic and he gets his blood checked to see what his anc is. it has to be over 720 to get chemo. the last time we went to clinc it was for chemo and he ended up not getting it cause his anc was 434. he is low. well we are to go back on the 16th @ 900a and try again. on another note...i wanted to tell MISS LINDSEY that she looks BEAUTIFUL on the american red cross post card. i hope your doing well. i also got a arm in arm (from the red cross also) that had a story about AKAIDA in it. it was very nice and there are beautiful pics in there. well i need to run i hope everyone is well. Wednesday, July 2, 2003 10:46 AM CDT ok so jts anc is at 3842 and they were conceerned about his platlets. so kenton took him in today to check his number again and its staying at 31 it hasnt dropped! im happy about that. kenton usually calls me when there at the hospital and stuff to tell me what there doing but instead he came home and surprised me cause he dint have to have a transfusion. he just woke up from a nap i will write later... Tuesday, July 1, 2003 9:51 AM CDT hey guys im so sorry i havent wrote but i have been busy. well jt is at clinic right now and im really hoping that his anc is up enough to come off the shots today. i also hope that he doesnt have his port accsessed. anyways to catch you guys more up to date. he is neutropenic and his anc was 500. that was friday. anyways kenton took him to the dr today cause i couldnt find anyone to watch lauren. if any of my neighbors read this theyll whip me! Friday, June 20, 2003 11:39 PM CDT sorry i havent wrote. you guys know im busy. we went in wednesday to get jts chemo and hes doing good. we left the next morning. he weighs 15pounds4oz now and he is 25 inches long. hes trying his hardest to get to teeth to pop through. well i will have to write more later. hes awake now. Monday, June 16, 2003 4:39 PM CDT well jts little rat tail has came out. it must have been due to chemo. anyways we go in wednesday for more chemo. the nurse came today and weighed 14 pounds 11 oz. hes gaining good weight. we have been cleaning and cleaning the whole time we have been home and have finally got some room around here. we try to keep it as clean as possible so when we come home we can focus on the kids and not as much on the house. i think everyone tries to do that. we took him outside for about an hour today. he did good put there. we had to bring him in cause he fell asleep right in my arms. i guess it felt that good outside. well i guess i will update more later Friday, June 13, 2003 2:39 PM CDT well, i really have a sad heart today cause as i was reading miss lindsey's journal i just found out that akaida has passed on. she was a beautiful little girl and i know that that the world will not be the same without her. at the same time she is in no more pain. those of you that dint know her she had the same cancer that jt is fighting. im really angry cause i just found out which means i wasnt able to go to the service or anything. i want to say to akaidas parents that if you read this im sorry. im sorry i cant be there. im sorry that this happend. i wish i could do something. like lisa said in lindseys journal..adam has a great angel now! i have to go for now. Saturday, April 12, 2003 7:55 PM CDT im sorry i havent kept up....jt is looking relly good and he is going to be coming home soon. i cant wait. he had a rare eye twitch do to the neuroblastoma and its name was dancing hands and dancing feet. its ok now cause he got meds for it (ivig.) well i have to get back to jt cause as soon as i get the cpr classes down and learn how to give him his shot i will be on my way. i already now how to chaange his cvl so thats good to go Sunday, April 6, 2003 3:01 AM CDT alot has happend here in the last couple of days... we have been moved to the 8th floor and he is doing good. they started CHEMO yesterday and it will go for 3 days. hes doing good on it. earlier today i spoke with a dr. and she told me that they were going to bring in a dummy chest with a central line in it so they could teach us how to change his lines and flush them with heprin cause if hes doing good they hope next week that he can go home. im so excited about the whole thing. were having some friends and family come tom. so we will be pretty busy. i just want to let you guys know though that he looks so much better and i will be updating pictures soon so everyone can see the diffrence. it may take me a couple of days but i will get around to it soon. Thursday, April 3, 2003 9:00 AM CST ok so he got his vent out day before yesterday and he went to the 8th floor yesterday. im so happy i could pop. im back upstairs with the nurses that kick but. hes doing really well. we had a small little drop yesterday but its ok. he is going through some withdraws and he has tremmors from that but he will be ok. i know he will! his stomach yesterday was 42 cm. well theres still all day left so i will stop for now. Saturday, March 29, 2003 9:03 AM CST well last night we got to see his ct scans from the 3rd of feb to march 26 and there is a diffrence. the one on feb 3rd showed nothing good at all and the one on the 26th showed spots where the chemo was taking an effect. its was a relief to see all that. i got to hold him yesterday and he coughed up phlem on me....lol....i missed it.it was great. well i will write later tonight when i get back to my friends house tonight. Friday, March 28, 2003 9:44 AM CST i got to hold him!!!!! day before yesterday i got to hold him. they also did a ct scan and his liver has gone down from 14cm to 13cm. im so happy. thats not all the good news though. they are staring to give him meth every 12 hours instead of every 8 hours. yesterday they said that they wanted him to exercise his lungs so to get him off the vent what there doing is every 4 hours they are going to let him breathe on his own for 15 min. if he does that well then they will do it for 30 min. then after that it would go to 2every 2 hours and for 15 min then 30 min. he is doing alot better. i want to say that whoever reads this that works a CHKD I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU SO MUCH. there are some really speacial people there and i will hold you close to my heart. for example...the lady who loves frogs on the 8th. the woman who loves those sour jelly beans i want to say that you have done things for me that i needed so bad when it comes to jt. and to my two fav. chaplins the man in blue and the dinosaur future helper. i thank you guys the most.
Tuesday, March 25, 2003 11:27 AM CST i woke up pretty early this morning and got back to the hospital around 10a. when i got here they were giving him platelets. his number was low. he still looks good and they havent had to give him any more meds. other than the ones that were ordered. he was asleep when i got back there.well as for right now thats about it. i hope that everyone is doing good and ill write more later. I havent been keeping up with it cause i have been so busy. well, JT is doing well and he has been taking off the vent twice to see how he would do and my little tinman did good. he had to go back up on the vent though yesterday. thats not a bad thing though. he will come off one day soon. anyways, he is no longer neutropenic!!!!!! anyways thats about it for now. i will do my best to keep up with you guys as much as i can. Sunday, March 16, 2003 5:35 PM CST Ok so I went into the PICU today and he was out like a light. They had to give him paralyzing meds so they could change his tube tape. He was so alert yesterday when I came in. I looked at him and he was sound asleep this morning. The nurse told they also had up the moriphine. I really dont like that but, whatever it takes to make my little man better. He is on a ventalater and the setting he is on he is suppose to breathe over the machine. Anyhow, I go in and start talking to his nurse and she tells me that they dont want him to breathe over the machine so they gave him more meds. I went strait to th DR. I asked him to explain what she meant. She thought we had no idea what we were talking about and she was all wrong. He was fighting the vent! Everytime he would go to breathe it would be pushing up against the vent. Its not a real bad thing but it cant help him if does that.
