Sorry it has been so long since our last journal entry. Everything is going very well. Will and Scott are great. No news is good news right? We are all gearing up for our Disney trip. Will was granted a Make-A Wish trip and he wanted to go to Disney World. We are all getting so excited and counting the days until we leave. It will be his first time flying on an airplane. I hope to put some new pictures on the site of both the boys, but I have to have Bryans help to do it, so I am waiting on him. Thank you all for all your thoughts and prayers.
Love and Blessings

What a wonderful Christmas and New Year we had. Everyone was well and at home, I could not ask for more than that. Everyone is still doing great. Will has a clinic visit on Wednesday, so we will be off to Houston once again. It will be a long day, but a good day I'm sure. We don't have a lot going on just enjoying being home. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Please keep praying for all the cancer families as well as their doctors and nurses who treat them. Happy New Year!!!!!!

Christmas is coming so quickly. We are all getting excited here in the Moore home. We have been so blessed this year. Will is doing wonderful, just a few hospital stays, and Scott has fully recovered from his osteomylitis. I have a heavy heart. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful for all the Lord has blessed us with. I feel a bit sad that a few of our MDA friends are missing part of their family this year. I can't imagine the pain and heartache they feel. Please pray for all the cancer families, especially the Nuckolls family. This will be their first holiday season without their precious baby girl. (www.myshiningstar.info) This is an amazing family whose faith humbles me. I honestly don't know how they do it. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
Love and Blessings to all

Good Evening, Will is doing wonderful as is Scott. WE are all still home and hoping to stay healthy through the holidays. Everyday that we get to be home with our boys is a blessing. Will is getting really excited about Christmas. This is the first year he really understands the true meaning of Christmas. We have been able to explain all about when Jesus was born. He is also getting excited about Santa. Scott is still to young, but watching Will's eyes light up is such a gift. I am glad to say not much is going on. The more boring our lives are the better. We will update soon
Love and Blessings to all,
Ann

Well, I did it again,

Spent a bunch of time writing and lost it...
I am sorry that it has taken so long to post an update to Will's site. Will is doing well but other things have come up lately.
Scott (10 months old) has osteomyelitis. An infection of the bone in his righ arm, just above his elbow. He has spent 10 days in the hospital this past month and has been on IV antibiotics. His arm is doing well, but he now has drug induced neutropenia. He has been referred to Will's oncologist at M.D. Anderson for treatment. He has his first appoinment on Monday. Now we have two children who are patients at M.D. Anderson! What are the odds of that! Someone said that we should play the lottery. I told them that I would win, then lose the ticket...!
We have been going through a test of faith, I feel. It is a wake up call from God. No matter how smart and comfortable we think we are in our lives, we are not in control. "Let Go, Let God!", as they say. The struggles we face are meant to bring us closer to him. For it is in these times that people seek him. Seek First! Then when we are right with God, we shall have our heart's desires. He will test us, but not give us more than we can bear. We have been taught this. Never lose faith, for that is when ALL is Lost. When we get through these troubled times, our souls will have be strengthened; IF we accept his Will.
I know that my life has changed greatly over the past year. My eyes have been opened, now it is up to me.

Seek Him First!

All other things will work out...According to His Will....

I have done alot of thinking about what I would do and how I would feel if we lost William to this disease; and this is what came to me...

We are all His children First. All the children on these sites and everywhere belong to Him, not us; In the beginning and the end. They are blessings in our lives. He allows us to care for and love them while they are with us. But remember, they are His... Now and Forever!
I find comfort in that. Let it be, "Well with your Soul". (Thanks Kari)

Goodnight,

Bryan

Well, I had written quite a bit about what has been going on with Will, and I hit a button on the keyboard and wiped it out! Oh, well...
Will started maintenace and then got sick which put him in the hospital again for 5 nights. He has been home for a week and a half, and is doing well. A virus and the chemo dosage had knocked his white count down to nothing. After returning home and whitholding the chemo for that time, his ANC went from 100 to over 4500. He is doing good and has restarted his maintenance chemo at 1/2 dosage.
He also has a good start on his hair! I don't remember what he looked like with it. It will be nice to see again.
That is the short version of the past month or so. We thank everyone for their prayers and help. And we thank God for answering our prayers and providing the strength for us to make it through the tough times.

Thank you for all that everyone is doing for Will and our family.

Bryan, Ann, William and Scott

Will is now finished with his second reintensification and doing well. He had to receive Red Blood cells at his last clinic visit a week ago, Monday. His counts last Thursday had come up, but he was not ready to begin Maintenance this past Monday. So, we just went to have lab work done. His HGB was up and his Nuet, and Platelets had doubled in four days. But as expected, he still needed time before beginning maintenance.
This is such a milestone for us. We have been making trips to MD Anderson once or twice a week since last July. We have been through several hospital stays due to infection, shingles and Rotavirus. I can't remember how many Emergency room visits were made.
William will begin maintenance with an LP and a Bone Marrow Biopsy. We ask for your prayers, that Will is still in remission. Maintenance will require only once a month clinic visits, which will allow Ann, Will and Scott to move back home. I am looking forward to this so much. Will keeps asking me when will he get to go home to his house. He is so ready to go home!
Monday May 9th, maintenace should begin...and end in August 2007.

Thanks to all for the support and prayers, and don't forget to pray for the families of the children who have left us...

Goodnight,
Bryan

Hello,
Thanks to all that have been there to help our family. The prayers, time and donations that you have given are very much appreciated. We could not have dealt with all that we have been through without your help.
To everyone that has put William on your church prayer lists, we have seen God's work throughout this time.
We have seen one child at the clinic survive a diagnosis of 20 brain lesions due to lymphoma. His prognosis had come down to 0 chance of making through the night. The next day he began to get better and then a scan showed that the lesions were gone! No chemotherapy had begun yet... A week after he went home, He told his mother that God had spoken to him that night in the hospital. God told him that he would be fine, that everything was going to be ok. Micah said that God then touched him "where he was sick". After 2 months in the hospital, he is home and has started his chemotherapy.
I just love telling that story, it is wonderful! He said that he did not see any angels, and did not see God. Only that God had spoken to and touched him... Just as stated in the bible that no man has ever seen God.
Another story is about a little girl named Star. She passed away in Feb. It is just an amazing story of how God has worked through Star to do his will! This is an amazing story.

Explore the entire site for all the stories, you won't be disappointed.
As for Will, he just went through a rough couple of weeks. He was diagnosed with Rotavirus just after begining reintensification. This is a very serious illness in children, much more so in a child undergoing chemotherapy.
We made 4 trips to the emergency room in 10 days. This included 4 different hospitals and a 2 day stay in one. He was at risk for dehydration and could not eat or drink for almost 10 days! The visits involved IV fluids and antibiotics and chemo treatments in the middle of this!
Well, during the middle of this illness, William was dosed the wrong medication at a local hospital. The medication stopped his breathing; and Mine! He sat up in bed and fought for breath for about a minute before he began to breathe again. It was like someone having a severe asthma attack.
He had been given 50mg of Promethazine instead of Heparin to flush his portacath! We thought for hours that he had a blood clot in his lungs or brain. He was acting like he had a stroke.
After nothing was found in the chest x-ray or CAT scan, I began going back over the events of the morning. I wondered if the wrong medicine had been used. I found the vials in the trash that answered my question. I felt relieved that this explained his condition, he had been sedated heavily on accident! No clots!
God must have been watching over William that morning. 10mg would put an adult to sleep, Will had received 50mg to his heart! He regained his breath but never went out, not even after receiving another sedative to do the CAT scan. The combination we were told could have caused cardiac arrest! It did not...! In fact Will was still alert enough to fuss about doing the CAT scan. It was a miracle that William made it through all the events of that morning without more serious consequences.
The power of prayer witnessed, thank you Lord!
In healing and loss, God is with these children. Have faith that his work is being done. We may not immediately understand, but it shall be revealed in time. Have faith!

Thanks for stopping by,

Bryan, Ann, Will and Scott

William went to Houston on the 28th of Dec and his white cell count was to low to do the lumbar puncture. He went to Houston today on the 3 of Jan and they did the procedure.
The Doctor told Bryan and Ann (Will's mom and dad) today that they could take little Will back home to DeQunicy La, this will be his first trip back home since he started his treatments in July of 2004. He will go back to M.D. Anderson in Houston in Feb and he will be getting his blood work done in Beaumont weekly and it will be sent to M.D Anderson to his Doctor, then he will come back in six weeks to begin his second "reintensification therapy".
