Love, Karen Trevathan Needham Karen Trevathan Needham <karen.needham@buzziunicemusa.com> Marion, AR USA - Monday, March 24, 2008 11:01 AM CDT Macy and Family, I took care of Macy at Children's after her heart surgery. I just wanted to tell you how wonderful you look, Macy!! I am so proud of you. It warms my heart to see you all doing so well. Take care! Callie, RN (in CVICU) <callierenee@gmail.com> Dallas, TX USA - Tuesday, March 18, 2008 8:09 PM CDT We have enjoyed reading through Macy's life story on this website. It is a wonderful tool that her parents have used to let others know what is going on with Macy. Last Sunday (Feb 23) We really enjoyed speaking with Marcy and Dirk Allison and with Summer on Macy's heart and medical journey. As I explained my son Bradley was born in 1984 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and was operated on by Dr. Norwood. Bradley underwent three surgeries and lived two and a half years, but changed us for a lifetime. Macy is such a miracle, for the left ventricle to "grow out" is nothing short of divine intervention. My heart and prayers go out to her brave and caring parents. I do understand, having been down that road, the stress and anxiety of a child born with serious medical issues and how difficult that is. I also know the emotional highs that are treasured when you look in Macy's eyes and know that God, the creator of the universe was also personally involved with this special little girl. When my son Brad was alive, someone once asked me "it must be a burden to raise a child with serious health issues". I told them actually Brad was a blessing. Now heart disease, that was a burden, but not my baby he was a blessing from God. Barb and I hope to see little Macy someday. To actually look into the eyes of a very special child of God would be overwhelming to us. May God's blessings always be with Macy. May God bless her and keep her, may God make his face shine upon her and give her peace. Sincerely, Lytle and Barb Norton. Kellye <kkdemski@hotmail.com> - Sunday, October 21, 2007 7:17 PM CDT Hi, I am so glad to hear that Macy is doing so well. I hope she got a clean bill of health on Friday. I have been wondering about her condition for over 3 years now. So relieved to get this sight. She is as such a beautiful little girl with beautiful parents. I am a formal member of WFR and has been in Edmond, OK for 3 years. I will continue to lift up Macy and the family in prayers. May God continue to sustain you thru all of this! Shirley White <swhite111@cox.net> Edmond, OK - Sunday, October 21, 2007 3:26 PM CDT Summer, I thought about Macy all last night and this morning, I actually fell asleep last night thinking of the precious hug she gave me yesterday after school. Usually her hugs are quick and on her way being busy. This hug was so different. It was such a tight close hug, and when she laid her sweet head on my shoulder, I felt like she was saying, Thank you for Loving me. For me that was such a blessing. Another note about her speech, when I cannot clearly understand her, I just let her know it is ok, and I just bend down to her level, and take her hands in mine and ask her to tell Ms. Cheryl again. She then, looks at me with such sparkle in her eyes and her shy smile,(she gives me when she is not sure) and with such confindence tells me again and that works. I always enjoyed subbing for Ms. Jennifer becasue I Loved teaching Ansley, I am so in Love with My Miss Macy and I am so falling in Love with little Emerson. Continue to have faith and never stop praying. Give Macy a big hug for me and I will see her on Tuesday! I think that she looks so much like you when you were her age. I can tell that she has your personality also. As a matter of fact, one of these days I'm going to hunt up the picture I have of you in Arizona. I think you were about 3 at the time. I'm glad that everyone is healthy now and the girls look great. Jillian is a little beauty right along with her cousins. Let me know when you need a break and I'll come hang out for a few days!!! Summer, I am NOT kidding! I would love it! Karen <karenann.trevathan@buzziunicemusa.com> West Memphis, AR USA - Friday, May 25, 2007 4:17 PM CDT I'm so glad that Macy was okay and it was not anything related to her heart. She is precious in the after bath photo! I bet she keeps you on your toes most of the day. We will be praying as her tube surgery approaches. I am SO impressed with Layton's ability to build a picnic table, and it looks really great! How fun to see them enjoying it together. Your family is so beautiful! P.S. Thought about you recently, used my bag as my 'carry on' for my trip to CA! Too fun and still getting lots of good use! So many times I look at the pictures of Ansley and Macy and think, "They look so much like Summer as a little girl!" But in this picture I can see how they resemble Layton, too. By the way, do you remember dancing on top of my parents' picnic table and recording ourselves doing commercials for "Dancing With Daniel's"? Chuck Hanson Chuck Hanson <cjhou1@yahoo.com> Weiner, AR USA - Saturday, January 27, 2007 4:41 PM CST Love the new pics. The rockstars ROCK! Kellye <kkdemski@hotmail.com> - Tuesday, January 23, 2007 6:50 AM CST Hi Summer, I just read your entry from the end of December about all the sleep deprivation. I hope that it has gotten better, it sounded crazy at your house at that time. As far as tips that have worked here, both of our kids go through sleepless phases. Lately, we just let A. get in bed with us when she has nightmares so that we can get back to sleep quicker. She doesn't have them very often. I have made a practice of going to thier room and praying for each one of them and for them to have "happy dreams" and to sleep well each night after they are asleep. We've also started playing a Baby Praise cd on repeat all night in their room. Those 2 things seem to help us. When Joshua was a newborn, Dave handled Alyssa in the night and I was up with Joshua. That way I could at least sleep through her stuff. I feel for you. Is this what it will be like for me in August?! I feel exhausted just thinking about it! Hang in there. Michelle Stevens - Tuesday, January 16, 2007 10:29 PM CST Summer, The girls are so beautiful. I love seeing pictures of them. I hope you start getting more sleep very soon! It has to be rough with a newborn and two other little ones. Happy New Year to you & yours! Tesney Davis <tesneydavis@hotmail.com> Tuscaloosa, AL USA - Saturday, January 6, 2007 10:49 AM CST Hello Summer and family! Your growing family just keeps getting cuter and cuter! As for the sleep situation, my husband and I are expecting our first little girl any day now and I know we're in for sleep-related life changing events! You all look so happy together! Macy is becoming such a beautiful little girl; she has come so far since those scary infant days! You are an inspiration and a parent that I admire and look up to in the new journey I'm about to begin. I think of your family often and wish you the best in 2007!
