Welcome to Joey's Update Page

Joey about to bowl
Aug 9, 2008

Welcome to Joey's webpage!!

He was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on 8-18-02. He was a month away from turning 5 years old. As of 3-23-05 he is officially OFF TREATMENT!! He has about a 90 % chance that he is finished with leukemia treatments. This does not mean that we are done with leukemia, checkups and the HO clinic at Cooks. He will have to be watched for the rest of his life. For the fourth year off treatment, he will go every 4 months for bloodwork and a checkup. On Thursday, April 27, 2007, Joey was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy. He also suffers from chronic headaches, bad allergies and asthma and excema. He tends to get sick very easily and also has alot of trouble with very tight, painful muscles in the back of his legs due to his CP.

A WALK IN THE PARK

I have joined with Six Flags Friends and Cure Kids Cancer to raise public awareness and funding for childhood cancers. “A Walk In The Park” will commence behind a backdrop of some of the world’s highest coaster landscapes and encourage neighborhoods across the United States to join forces to take strides to help children suffering from cancer. Together, we can truly make a difference, but I need your help to reach my goal, and the overall goal of raising $1 million dollars. Please sponsor me as I walk in hope for the tens of thousands of children afflicted with pediatric cancers. The walk itself is at Six Flags Over Texas on Saturday, September 6th. If you are interested in either donating or joining us for the walk (it only lasts a couple hours that morning) please click on the link below (in the link section) or email me. Thank you so much! Remember all the proceeds go to benefit PEDIATRIC CANCER.

Please keep them in your prayers! If you are interested in finding out more, please visit their site that is updated several times each day.... www.mycharmingkids.net
