Hey, C & D Where are you? I saw Destiny's picture in the newspaper last weekend and tried to call you. I could not find you in the hospital or at the Residence Inn. I thought maybe you were able to go home. Then I remembered the website and read where and what you ladies have been doing. We pray for you every night. Call me please. Donna

Greetings my friends. I pray that your stay in the hospital will NOT be long. I see that others things are developing, but God is mighty. I know that Mom will do what the Spirit of the Lord will guide her to do and know that the victory is yours. When all the saints get to praying, God hears and things happen. I pray improvement over your body as you read these lines. God is awesome in every way, so trust in Him. I lift you up in Jesus Name...

Destiny's mom,

I found out that an adult wrist BP monitor will work on a child's arm. My mom and I searched, the same circumference for a manual child's BP cuff is the same as an adult wrist cuff. Heres a website: http://www.onlinecomponents.com/healthcaredefault.cfm?ref=g

Hopefully this might work!

Destiny's Mom,

My grandma got me a blood pressure cuff from Walmart. Its about 5 inches by 5 inches. Will work on battery for 3 years, so you don't have to plug it in. I think you can also get it at pharmacy, like Walgreens. I hope this helps somewhat! Please tell Destiny to keep fighting! And to try her best to keep that wonderful smile.

Destiny,
I love you new pictures...especially the one with you and your brother. You are a mighty special big sister for a little boy to have. I know he will be so proud of you when he is old enough to understand how brave and strong you are. Your Mommy's heart must be sad to have to say goodbye to him for awhile. We will keep praying that you will get a miracle from our Lord Jesus and get to go home to Texas!

Hi Destiny,

Sandy and I just saw your beautiful pictures. Keep up the fight and one of these times you will be back in Texas. I am from Texas, but my wife Sandy and I live in upstate New York where I serve as pastor of a United Methodist Church. We, and our congregation, are praying for you. Another one of our favorite people, you may know. His name is Myles Stefl. He has been in Pittsbuirgh also. His grandparents are members of the church where I serve. Myles mother, Karen Stefl, told us about you.

Oh Christie, I just read the latest update! Oh my...my heart is heavy for you. I pray (just another word for "having a conversation with God", that the preacher who said prayer did not work...did NOT mean it the way it came out. If so... he needs a new job! People all over the country are having conversations with our heavenly Father...yes ..we are PRAYING for you and your precious daughter. God is listening, He is hearing... and He CARES...and HE indeed "works" for you. He is NOT against you. No.. no one has the answers why bad things are allowed to happen, but to question them, we have to question all of our blessings we are "allowed" to have as well. Destiny is already a miracle of God and I am praying He receives all the honor and glory for His mighty work for her! Know that we all care and understand your worry, your hurt, your anger and all those normal emotions. Honey, I am praying not only for continued healing by the Great Physician, Jesus for Destiny, but for peace and comfort for you beyond measure!
Love and prayers from Texas,

My dear friend, I have a saying on my email, "Prayer is the key to heaven, Faith unlocks the door". If prayers didn't work none of us would be here today. Jesus said to pray and wait on Him. Why all this happens, only God can answer that. We know how it all started by the failure in Eden, but thru God's Grace and Mercy today we are not consumed because of His Son, Jesus. Hang on to that, we have a better place because Jesus is on our side, no matter what this world gives us. The next world, I promise it will not be like this. Hang on to our prayers because it's what makes God move. Prayer is talking to God and we can do a lot of talking, because we know that He listens. In His love to you both....

Hey Christie and Des.,

Still praying here. I want to share a prayer a stranger sent Ian that he loved and read daily, and I think it's great and that you might like it for Des.

"Lord, look upon me (Des) with the eyes of your mercy. May your healing hand rest upon Des (me). May your life giving powers flow into every cell of (my)Des's body and into the depths of (my) Des's soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring her (me) to wholeness and strength for service in your kingdom. -Amen

Hi Christie,

I disagree with the pastor, in a sense. God works but prayer gets his attention so I can't believe we don't have his attention, only he knows why this is best right now. I also swear by father Baker whom is in line to become a saint so will share this prayer with you: O God, Our Father, we praise and thank you for the gift of Father Nelson Baker, priest and disciple, who lived your will in faith and trust, and lived your love in service to the poor, the sick , the homeless and the young.

I pray in confidence that through his intercession, You will grant me the favor which I request. That Destiny's new kidney starts functioning, her other medical complications are relieved and she lives a healthier life free of hospitalization, getting a chance to live with and know her baby brother, and that her mother gets the opportunity to parent Des. and Bubba outside of the hospital environment.

Love and prayers are with you!!!

Christie & Des,
I'm a friend of Angie's, Ya'll have been in my prayers since Angie first told me everything. I'm not sure what I say here will help or not, I'm not real good with words and sometimes they don't get typed the way I'm thinking them. For a Pastor to say prayer does not work is very wrong. PRAYER DOES WORK!! It's a way for us to communicate to God for our needs and strength. Know that God hear's you! Sometimes prayers are not answered right away, there's a reason and a purpose for everything. You wonder why all this has been laid on you.....from my own experiences God knows who can and who cannot handle such things.Be assured that i and many others will keep Destiny in our prayers. More to follow once I calm down from the Pastor saying what he did, he took alot of people's hopes and crushed them with his statement and it's simply not true!

We have each been contacted today for special prayer for our sweet baby girl who we have grown to love even though we have never seen her or held her in our arms. Destiny is a miracle and my prayer is for another miracle for her body to be healed, but the ultimate prayer is for God's will to be done in her little life. Hello, Christie Taylor and Destiny (little giggles)

This is Richard Dale Simpson, You know! That crazy boy down here in Sopervile, with the rest of the "want-a-be-Crazy- people" LoL. Well ChrIstie the only thing I can say is! There will be a day you and little giggles see light. There's no question of whether or not there will be a better day, because there will be! And that is all there is to it. In the bible you read about the people that walked up to Jesus and ask him to heal them in some kind of way, sometimes the way jesus spoke, made things very difficult to understand. But the truth to the parable Jesus was useing to get the point across was FAITH. BECAUSE IF THOSE PEOPLE DID NOT BELIEVE HE COULD REALLY HEAL THEM, THEN THEY WOULD NOT BE HEALED. tHE POINT WAS. THEY BELIEVED jESUS COULD HEAL AND IT HAPPEN. tHERE WAS NO OTHER WAY! nO MATTER WHAT THE WORLD SAYS, OR REALITY MAKES YOU THINK, jESUS CAN IF YOU SAY HE CAN!!!!!!! I believe he can, and my faith is all it takes to believe for me and you!

I am a friend of Vickie Glenn's and Dustin. Vickie sent out an e-mail asking for prayer and I just wanted to let you know that your little girl and your entire family will be in my prayers. I definitely believe in the power of prayer and I have seen God move in amazing and miraculous ways. I just wanted to say hang in there and even in the darkest hour when things look helpless, God is still in control. Remember he says that by His stripes, we are healed. I recently had a family friend come extremely close to dying many times due to cancer, but God has touched her body and she is now home. My prayers will be with you each day. God Bless, Becky

Destiny is the most beautiful girl, not to mention to luckiest, she has so many people who love her and look out for her, especially her Mom, Christi. I have never seen a more devoted and loving Mother, and I miss her so much, but knowing that she is where God intended her to be and doing what she has for the Love of this little Angel, helps those of us who have been by her side even before Destiny except things with understanding and admiration. Destiny is my Godchild, and I Pray that she will return home to us soon, we want to start our lives together. Bless Lil Baby Girl.....
