Hello everyone...its been so long since my last update... I have got the most wonderful news...LAUREN IS GETTING MARRIED AUGUST 2ND, 2014... this was quite a shock...she is marrying the most wonderful, CHRISTian man...so happy for her...she starts nursing school tomorrow...this is her second semester of her second year of college...Craig is great... he is a junior in high school...he is almost 6 ft. tall now and so precious... weddings are very expensive, so please pray for a financial blessing for us... Hello guys, I have had trouble with Craig's caringbridge page...I think I Rex may have gotten it fixed...wow, time flys...Craig is a junior this year, and Lauren started her second year of college...my niece is getting married one week from Saturday...I remember when she was a baby...we are doing good, and not looking forward to the cold weather...although, I do love the hot tub in the winter...

oh my goodness...I didn't know craig's site was having trouble...I hope I have everything fixed now...school started yesterday...craig is in the 11th grade...lauren will be starting her second year of college on the 26th...wow how time flies...

Craig's anxiety issues are still apparently a bigger problem than we had hoped...that's ok, we'll get through it, we always do...

lauren will be turning 19 is less than a month...she is still dating Derek for two years unofficially and 19 months officially... every relationship has ups and downs, but they are really good together... I pray daily for them... craig is still as shy as ever...

wow...times really does fly by...Craig got his license...his last day on his sophomore year is Monday...lauren finished her first year of college...

really, really loving that summer is just around the corner...
Rex continues to work hard and travels every week... still blessed to have this job, even though it came with a pay cut...

Lauren is still dating Derek...has been for over a year and a half now...they really, truly are perfect for each other...

im still the same ole me... happy housewife and even happier mother... Rex surprised my last weekend with a mini trip for our 24 year anniversary...it was fantastic...

Hey everyone...havent update in a long time...so sorry, life gets so busy sometimes...Lauren started her first year of college...very challaging, but she is smart and doing really well...Craig has outgrown me (finally)...he is sophomore this year, has his permit and learning to drive...REx is loving his new job...as with any job, it has ups and downs, but he is happy...he did take a pay cut, but we are thankful he has a job...I very much appreciate all of you who have been a part of this caring bridge and Craig's website for all these years...means so much...

Hey everyone...its been awile since I last updated...Lauren is in college now...it is great but very challenging and time consuming...she manages her time really well...she is really a great girl, who i am very proud of...she is offically an adult now...Craig is still my sweet Craig...he has finally outgrew me (and Lauren)... he is a sophomore in high school...this is a very challenging year for him...Rex is loving his new job, but not the pay cut...we are not complaining, it pays the bills... looking forward to CHRISTmas so much...

WOW!!! where has the time gone??? Lauren started college just yesterday...she is going to MTSU and majoring in nursing... She will be turning 18 on September 9th...Craig is great...school is challenging, but might always be that way... I have never met anyone with the heart of Christ more than Craig...he truly is a wonderful, wonderful person and this family is blessed to have his Christ heart as a reminder of what the heart of Christ looks like...he is a sophomore in high school this year...got his learners permit...and looking forward to driving in the spring...

hey everyone...sorry its been awhile...its been a really stressful summer...one of nicks (Laurens boyfriend) was in a car wreck...he didn't survive...he was only 17 years only...he was the son of one of local pastors here...this pastor came and visited Craig in the hospital a few times when he was going thru treatment...lauren has had some hurtful things happen...wont go into detail...Craig is doing good...the 4th of July was a super fun day...we went to the lake with friends...we were so grateful to be invited...anyway..thank you all who pray for Craig and my family DAILY...love, you all, Helen...

i can't believe i've waited this long to update... Lauren had a birthday on Tuesday, she' turned 14... she and Craig are staying so busy with school... she had so much homework this weekend...she worked yesterday for hours...Craig is doing really well with his hearing aid... being very responsible with it... i think he will always dislike school, but likes it so much better than elementary school...the teachers are just so much nicer... two of the tree scans came back normal yesterday...PRAISE THE LORD...we are waiting on the last test results...however, he has cysts on his tryroid...PLEASE PRAY IN JESUS' NAME THAT THIS IS NOTHING...he will have an ultrasound on the 14th to check it out...also, an echocardiogram because chemo can effect your heart years after you are off treatment...

t updated in a while...I have been busy re-doing Lauren's bathroom for her birthday...it's finally done...painting polka dots takes lots of time...Her birthday is tomorrow...she has gotten gifts from friends and from her best friend's grandparents...they have taken Lauren under their wing...we are so grateful to God for giving her granparents like them...one of Lauren's friends, Abby made Lauren a cake...I can't wait to see pictures of it...she is staying the night with Abbey...Mallory is taking her shopping today...Craig is still getting sixk almost every morning from stress...so please keep praying for him...we could use all the prayers we can get...

I am heartbroken to hear the news of at least 33 people killed on the campus of Virginia Tech. Like you I have watched the news and have shed tears for those who will be forever affected by this tragedy. Please join me in praying for the families of all those whose lives were lost and for those who were injured. I cannot imagine the heartbreak they are experiencing. I also ask that we pray for everyone on campus as they suffer through the fear and the sadness that must come at a time like this.

As far as we know, students connected with Timberlake UMC are were not involved but if you know any information that will help us provide a ministry for anyone connected with this tragedy, please email me immediately.

I am in Alabama attending a large church conference and have seriously considered coming home but I'm not sure I could do much more than is being done now so for now, I will stay here but I am monitoring everything very closely and will come home immediately if necessary.

I received two emails from campus ministers with suggestions that we could follow.

In response to today's shootings at Virginia Tech here are some ways you may want to express your care and concern:

First, be in prayer for Rev. Glenn Tyndall, United Methodist campus minister at the Virginia Tech Wesley Foundation and the students served through its ministry on that campus.

Second, if you have students from your congregation who are students at Virginia Tech, you may want to let Glenn know they are there so he can extend the church's presence and ministry to them. Even if they have not previously connected to the Wesley Foundation, this may be an important time for the campus ministry to reach out to them, but if Glenn doesn't know they are there, he can't do so.

Finally, you may want to contact your students (and their families) yourself as well.

Our center adjacent to the campus has been open all day and available to students as they have made their way over here. We were in lockdown mode until the gunman was apprehended. We are providing shelter, comfort, and land lines for those who cannot get cell service. No list of the fatalities has been published so far, so we do not know how many of them were students. To this point, there are 33 fatalities, including the gunman. There were also multiple woundings, some critical. Classes have been cancelled for today and tomorrow. In addition to offering your services to those in your area, please continue to keep our campus and our campus ministry in your prayers.

Helen please ask for prayer ask every one you know and call your church my sis In-law who had child hood cancer was told she would never have a baby well a few days ago she found out she was 5 months along with the baby today she was put in to the Hospital she went in to labor with the baby but GOD not doctors though prayer stopped the labor my sis has a infection in her lungs. They are trying to keep the baby inside of her we are trusting in GOD that he has the victory and Satan wont win this is Gods child the baby is a Girl . Bobbi jo�s womb is very thin and they are very worried about this We ask that you forward this prayer need on to every one And stand in faith with us that this baby will make it in the mighty name of Jesus. This just in via email...

This prayer request is in regard to a little boy named James that started having pain in his hip and was taken to the doctor, but the doctor didn't know what was wrong, and because his pain continued he was hospitalized. Since that time he has started Bleeding Internally, and went into Kidney Failure; the doctors brought him out of Kidney Failure, but he went back into Kidney Failure, and now he doesn't even recognize or know who his parents are. Please pray and forward this to all your prayer partners.

Hey everyone...thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes...it made me happy so many people remembered...we are back from our little trip...it was great being with the family but we did have ouir share of hurdles...we drove to a camp site only to find out it wasn't opened for 2 more weeks...our van was shaking last night on the way home...we stopped at Wal-mart auto department...they were still working...but not taking any more cars because it was almost 10PM...they looked at the van anyway...turns out the wheel is damaged and can't be fixed...but the good news is we were able to drive it anyway and make it home...it took 6 hours to get home...which it should have taken about 2 1/2 hours...we were thankful wal-mart looked at the van anyway...

Hi Helen,

My name is Hermien and my 11 year old boy was diagnosed at the age of 3 year 5 months with brain cancer, he has been in remission for 8 years but unfortunately the cancer has returned and there is nothing the doctors can do for him. He will be turning 12 on the 1st of April. The doctor told us that he has 6 months to live.

Please do pray for him and my whole family as we are all devastated.

well, Craig has a hole in his right ear and the tube has fallen down behind his ear drum...he has an appointment on March 7 to see what we need to do...

he is in the beginning stages of being tested for audio processing disorder...he has a learning disability also...

Craig has hearing tests tomorrow...the next day I have an IEP meeting...the foollowing week he starts being tested for audio processing disorder and then maybe for learning processing disorder...maybe we can get some understaning from others why Craig doesn't retain information and has short-term momory...they are finding the methotrexate causes learning and memeory disorders...

please keep Mrs. Harper in your prayers as she is now on hospice...God workd miracles everyday...

Lauren has cheerleading tournaments tomorrow...

Craig doesn't have any plans for the weekend...

he does have a hearing test next Tuesday...also, we are having an IEP meeting on Wednesday...

we are looking forward to daddy coming back home tonight...he has been out of town...

the kids are back in school...Lauren has tournament games all this week and maybe next week depending on how the basketball team does...

Craig's teacher gave lots of work to do on the snow days...he got it done...

Hey everyone...we are all good here...

we are expecting snow tonight...PRAY FOR SNOW...I would love to use some of those snow days we never use...

Lauren has a basketball game tomorrow night...it's the last game before the tournaments start...

Everyone here is good...Craig and I still have these colds...Lauren has plans with her friends...she is going to the circus with Kayla tomorrow...

I have been couped up in this house for a week fighting this cold...a little stir crazy...

an update on baby James

Hey Diane,
Thank you for brightening my day with the marquee pictures. I wish I could hug everyone, and thank them because it really means a lot. Please pray more for James. His surgery was postponed, and rescheduled for Friday, Jan 26th, but that might not happen. He is receiving high doses of dopemine (12mkg) to keep his blood pressure up. His urine output is at a minimum of around .1cc per hour. In order for him to receive the surgery for his PDA closure, his blood pressure must stabilize, he must be weened off of the dopemine. Please pray to God for a miraculous change. Thank you everyone for your never-ending support, love, and prayers.

Hey everyone...hope you all are good...I have been sick for the last 3 days but feeling so much better...it's rare that I get sick at all...daddy really had to come through for me yesterday...he had to do homework...feed the kids...and take Lauren and two of the other cheerleaders the an away game...it's was the farthest away game we have...thankfully I am better today...when mommy gets sick, the whole household falls apart...basketball season will be over by the end of February...Lauren does want to cheer again next year...she truly loves it...my friends mother has been given only 3 months to live...they are not doing any chemo or radiation...Tamara sounded much better Saturday night...she and her husband were renting a movie...

Happy weekend everyone...my friend, Tamara's mom is really sick and needs our prayers...she has been given months to live and is going to be put on hospice...Tamara is barely holding up...pray that I can be the friend she needs me to be and meet her every need...I don't ask for help unless I have to...she probably is the same way...maybe God can lead me as to what to do without her having to ask...baby James is better...holding his own...Craig is not feeling well today...the school nurse called and had me pick him up...

we had a nice long weekend with the kids being out of school yesterday...they didn't want to go back today...

it's cold here and flurring but nothing is sticking...no chance of a snow day...bummer...

Hey everyone and Happy New Year...school started back today...Craig hates school so he didn't sleep last night very much...Lauren tolerates school ok...Craig got 2 teeth pulled, one filling and a bar across the back teeth on the bottom to hold his teeth in place...it was along day...he is doing good now...
