Hi. I found your caringbridge site through the China adoption stories site (kind of a round-about way!) We are also adopting from China - our LID is July 20, so we're not too far behind you. We also have a son with cancer (this is what caught my eyes about your site!) Our son is 6 years old and was diagnosed with a brain tumor just before his 4th birthday. He has been off treatment since May 2003 and is doing well. Good luck with Ben's treatments - he sounds like a real trooper!

I haven't visited this web site in a long time and thought that I should now! It's wonderful to see Ben doing so well! He's quite a trooper to go through all this~! We hope you enjoy the Holy Days & your visit with Phyllis! Liam is doing well & has not had a reoccurance with his SVT since his proceedure in Feb. Hi, guys. I have been keeping up on things via my sister and it's great that everything is going so well. I think you know that we are planning on seeing you in November. We are all excited about our trip next week and I have talked to Phyllis more in the last couple of weeks then in the preceeding two years.

Ben's progress is just spectacular. When the time is right I will carefully instruct him on the harrassing and teasing of younger sisters--a subject in which I have a PhD.

WOW! At my age it's difficult to handle so much important news at one time--even when its so GREAT. I am so happy about Ben's condition. As I said before, I don't understand much of the medical terminology, but it wasn't dfficult on this occassion to understand the bottom line. Wonderful is all I can say.

The news about the baby is also terrific. Although this makes me a grand uncle twice over, I am comforted by the huge age difference between my sister and me--i am a VERY young grand uncle. This is very exciting.

She has her ups and downs like you - especially when she is on steroids. Now she is walking, running, laughing and being a two year old (her 2nd Bday is tomorrow!). You and Sofia are my heroes! I'm so happy to hear about your great progress at today's clinic visit. Just a week more of the steroids to go. I can only imagine how much better you'll feel once that medicine is stopped.
