I've just read you adoption story, My sister and her husband are currently in the process of adopting from China as well and I will be going with them. Your story really touched my heart and reminded me that by ourselves we can do nothing but with our Father in Heaven all things are possible and that no matter how rocky the road gets, keep trusting in him (not our own understanding) and he will direct our paths. Thank-you, from a sister in chirst. God bless your family.

Sharon and Michael, Thank you so much for sharing your life and story with us. My husband and I also have 4 biological children, and know we have been called by God to adopt. He put it in our hearts last fall after a Steven Curtis Chapman concert. We too do not have the funds to adopt, but are stepping out in faith. It is a constant rollercoaster, and have at times prayed for Him to take away the overwhelming desire if it is not his will. (it only becomes stronger when we do that :)). I cry often, and pray constantly. Your story has been a inspiration and a blessing! We are in the beginning stages of the home study. Please keep us in your prayers. Her name is Chloe. We don't know if she is even born yet, but she has a huge place in our hearts. God Bless you and your family! Kelli

Michael, I would have never believed that the gangly bus driver who lived down the highway from me as a teenager would be the man, father, and husband you obviously are. I followed the links from PHSonline here and am overwhelmed with the story of your family. Congratulations and may God continue to bless each and every one of you.

Your site is awesome! You should write a book. So many people will love to adopt but fear and finances hold them back. I know how you feel God is good. Nothing is impossible.... without God. I adopted 11/02 a beatuiful China baby. A precious gift from HIM. She is perfect gift and beautiful ingrated her into our family. He does such awesome work. Pray for us...we are starting this beautiful journey again but this time an older child (5-6). God has it on my heart. I have a 23 year old, 8 (bio) and 3. Pray for us and our adoption ministry which I am involved. Congratulations and I pray that God blessings are on you and your family.

It was absolutely wonderful to read your story and a beautiful reminder the God provides for us and guides us!!! We have been home 1 year with our son adopted from St. Petersburg Russia (April 2003). He is now almost 20 mths old. I started researching adoption from China about 3 months after he came home. I feel God is leading us to our next child. Many Blessings and prayers to you!!! We adopted a little girl 1 month after you did, from the YueYang county orphanage in Hunan province of China. She too was a Waiting Child (radial club hands) and was born in Aug 2000. We share your feelings of how wonderful God is and how great a blessing our Chinese daughter is. Praise God that He always has a plan even when we don't know where the next step is.

I just happened to find your story and have to tell you it made me cry tears of happiness for your family. We met our older daughter on Jan 15, 2003 in Guatemala. Only 5 months later, we saw the first pictures of her baby sister. We were planning on waiting for a few years, but God had other plans for our lives. Emily came home to us on Dec 31, 2003. We are so blessed to have our girls, and I hope your family is united soon!

Sharon,
This is such a wonderful story! Laney and Lili Grace are blessed to have such wonderful parents! Your story has insprired us! we are right now "waiting" for the referral of a healthy infant girl. We are a Nov. DTCer and hope to have a referral by July at the latest. But there is this beautiful little girl, whom we have named Jada and we want to adopt her! I have spoke with the foundation she is currently with and they are going to see to it that we adopt her!! I know this is so risky and I'm afraid we won't be able to bring both girls home. I know we'll bring Emma home first and then wait for our Jada. Your story has inspired me and I'm going to be praying for you..
Here's to a speedy TA and get Lili Grace HOME!

Dear Sharon and Michael,
As I sit here with tears in my eyes, the love and power of God is so obvious; it's very easy for us in the adoption world to loose sight of that fact. We have started the process for our 3rd China adoption, this time it is a special little boy who is cleft affected 3rd degree. I, too, wonder where the finances will come from, where my energy will come from;) God has planted the seed in my heart. I question His plan, but I know it doesn't do any good to argue about it;)) Reading your story has given me much inspiration, I also stopped along the way to pray for my bountiful blessings. God bless you and your family!
A speedy and safe travel for Lilli.

Sharon and Michael----Thank you for sharing your wonderful story. We are beginning our first adoption from China and have had doubts & worries. I feel that this decision process has brought us closer to God as we just have to keep turning it over to him and have faith. God knew that your story is just what my husband and I needed to read right now to help us. I wept while I read it and I will pray for you and your family and your precious new daughters. Again thank your for taking the time to post your story. It is an inspiration to those of us who are at the beginning. Our lives are truly blessed through God aren't they.
