Hi! I am a friend of Jenean and Ben. My father was just diagnosed with Cancer. The illness of a loved one is never easy to go through, for them or us. This is when we truly find out who we are and how strong we can be, when God shines his light the brightest. It wakes us up to what's REALLY important in life. Blessings to your family! You are all in my prayers.

Pam,
I am glad that July was a quiet month. We can all use a quiet month every once and a while. I pray that the school can help transition Justin into a different situation smoothly. Good teachers and a good staff can make all the difference in the world. Jarrett will start Ft. Inn Elementary next week. That will also be a challenge. He is used to me being with him all of the time. Prayfully, both boys will make the transition.

Been thinking about all of you---Wow the time goes quickly. You have always been amazing at dealing with the here and now, and you will be so as you look ahead. Justin is Justin--a treasure we have all been blessed with. Every time I head to Ft. Inn, the car goes into automatic pilot and I think of you. Next time, I'll give you a buzz to see if you're in. Take care and all my love, Leigh

Pam,
Sorry to hear Justin is having a rough time. I know how stressful it is with a newborn and a sick toddler. You are stretched to your limit. I think of you often.

Just an update - Daniel Edward was born on Saturday 12/3/05. He looks just like Alex as an infant. Several folks from PHOC came to visit - including Nurse Carol, Nurse Cathy, DJ, and Dr. Stroud. They are all so wonderful.

I am on maternity leave until late January.

Alex had cranial and spinal radiation as part of his treatment and then total body radiation before his transplant. It can be tougher than the chemo - you need to call me and I will discuss with you. Please ask if they will sedate Justin for the radiation - if not, go somewhere else - Greenville wouldn't and it was a nightmare. The radiation took the biggest toll on Alex.

I hope Justin is hanging in there. I know it is tough.

Let's hope Halloween can be a break from doctors and worries and a chance to cherish the joy that I know will be in Justin's face. When Justin is excited, he simply lights up the room! Please give him a big hug from me. You are always in my prayers.

Hang in there. I know it is frustrating when you look to the medical field for answers and they really don't have any. God will give an answer - you just don't always realize it. Love ya,

Hi - thinking of you guys!! I hope you get answers in Baltimore. Glad the benefit went well - I saw flyers every where I went - I was glad to see the support but sad for the reason.

My heart is so heavy worrying about Justin. I am so sorry that you are still struggling for answers - and that each month seems to bring more questions. You have advocated for Justin so well throughout his life, just trust your heart this time as well. I will keep all of you in my prayers. Lots of love, Ashley

I've been to the website a couple times, but today I looked at the photo album. The Buzz birthday cake was perfect, and I finally got to see the cousins I hear so much about. I do hope you get some answers in Baltimore. You and I both know you have to do everything you can think of for Justin. It is the only way. If I don't talk with you before you leave, good luck!

Pam and Stacey,
Our prayers are with you. Our family members were here this weekend for Elizabeth's 1st birthday. Many of them asked who is that little boy on the fridge (besides Alex and Anthony). It is the photo that you gave Alex of Justin. I shared your family's story. Please know that more prayers will go up for you and yours. Love,
