Welcome to Jarrett's Page. Jarrett is an active 10 year old boy. He loves all sports - baseball, football (especially the James F. Byrnes Rebels), soccer, basketball, and NASCAR. He enjoys singing with his daddy and playing outside with his brother, Nahtan.
Jarrett has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is a rare solid tumor childhood cancer. It arrises from the neurocrest cells. Jarrett's tumor began on his adrenal gland (above his kidney). It spread to the right kidney, spleen, pancreas, and liver. It also displaced his inferior vena cava and the abdominal arota. The cancer has also spread to his lymph nodes, bone marrow, and four areas on his bones (his skull, four ribs, and a vertebra). Jarrett has undergone 6 rounds of chemotherapy and surgery to remove his right kidney and the main tumor. He had a stem cell transplant in Charleston, SC and undergone 12 radiation treatments in Greenville, SC. He has completed 6 months of oral chemo. Jarrett is now enjoying being off of all of treatments.

Happy Spring! Jarrett is doing great. He will start baseball in a few weeks. He is counting down the days to the end of elementary school and the beginning of middle school. He is more excited about middle school than I am!
