HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY ANDREW

I Said a Prayer for You

I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word!

I didn't ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn't mind).
I asked Him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!

I asked that He'd be near you
At the start of each new day;
To grant your health and blessings
And friends to share your way!

I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small.
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all!

Hi Andrew,

I saw your Mom's note on Caleb Waddell's page, and thought I'd drop in and say hello.

My son, Ethan, has Hurler's and is T+76 today.

I was very sorry to hear that you got pneumonia at Christmas. What a drag! I hope that you're feeling better now!.

Now that I know about you and your family, I'll look forward to seeing how you're doing from time to time. (It's a shame these older Caring Bridge pages don't do e-mail notifications.)

All the best to you and your family.

Dear Anne and Andrew, thanks for the Christmas card, I didn't send any except to my brothers & sisters. Andrew's pic's are adorable as usual. I'm sorry he had to be sick again for the holidays but sounds like a real trooper. Maybe it was worth it to him to get to shovel all that snow. I thought that was so neat to get the hard copy of his web site, how did you all accomplish that? I'd be interested to know. I would love to have that of Ry's website. Have a Happy New Year and lots of growing for Drew, tell him how proud I am of him for being so brave with the shots. I'm sure Ryon is too! Ryon continues to watch over him...I know it. You are his Mommy and know what is the best for him. My son, Curtis, was diagnosed with MPS I, Severe Hurler's Syndrome just last week. I would love to email with you and ask you a million and one questions and have some guidance from someone who has already been there. Thank you for sharing your journey. Just because he isn't functioning at the expected level now, doesn't mean that won't change. He is a gorgeous child with an obvious sense of humor and social skills to charm the world. That means you are definitely doing something very right..Congrats on being a wonderful Mom..

Anne, I think that you have made the right decision concerning Andrew and his education. I know right now it is heartbreaking but it was a good decision that you did for your son and speaks volumes as to the love that you have for him. You gave him a gift with the decision that you made and I am as I am sure others are very proud of you and blessed to have you as a friend and example. Happy Thanksgiving to you and all of your family. I will as always keep all of you in my prayers. You are never out of my thoughts.

As a mom, and as an Andrew and Hannah fan, my heart aches for you at having to make this decision. We often don't realize that the right choice is often as painful as the ones less desirable. Andrew will succeed at being Andrew, at being God's beloved child, and in the endeavors his Creator has planned for him. May peace come to you as the mom and dad who have always had Andrew's very best interests in your heart.

Thank you for sharing, Andrew has been through so much and the achievements he has made are a credit to him and yourselves. We face the same issues with Sophie at the moment she is at normal school with one-to-one support but the gap is growing but the special schools are right either. If anyone deserves a perfect education it is our children, so we fight and try to get the best we can. You are doing a wonderful job. Sophie sends kisses.

Dear Ann and Andrew, sorry its been awhile since I've signed on, but as I said before I think of Andrew every day as I ask Ryon to be his guardian angel and I know he is watching over him especially during his surgery yesterday. What a great update I enjoyed reading it so much and hearing all about Andrew's baseball and meeting with your friends and fellow Hurler's patient. They both look awesome and I'm so happy for both of them that they are doing so well!!! Hannah looks so adorable in the pic as well, I can't believe how she's grown!! I will be anxiously awaiting an update on Andrew's surgery. My cousin's son had growth hormones and everything went well with it, it may be a good option for Andrew. It's lot to think about I'm sure. I still hold out hope that maybe one day we'll get to see each other again. Love to Andrew and prayers for quick healing and recovery and strength for you and your husband and Hannah as you all stand by his side...again!!! Much love, I miss you. Ry's mom Dolores

I was glad to read the update. Making those decisions is always hard. You know there are many children in 5th grade who don't know multiplication facts..so go Andrew!!! He's ahead there. I can just picture him in his goggles and apron working on those wood projects. Thank you Lowe's! I'll talk to you soon. Love, N.

Dear Ann and Andrew, just want to say hello and tell you I think of you both very often. I read your note on Catie's site. My boys had difficult times in middle school also, it was the worst time ever! Elementary was such a good experience and they all did so well until middle school, it's a whole new world. High school was a little better but we had issues with that. Ryon did very well as a freshman but that all ended when he got sick, as you well know. Anyhow just wanted to sign on and say hi and tell you I continue to talk to Ryon to watch over your adorable Andrew, I love his pictures. Hope you are well also and tell Hannah it will get better! Take care. Love to you and Andrew, Dolores--Ryon's Mom-P.S. Ryon was 23 yesterday and his Dad turned 50!

Dear Anne and Andrew, Sorry I haven't signed on in a long time.I do check the website though. I also think about Andrew alot. I ask Ryon to keep an eye on him and several other "kids" we know who are struggling with many issues. Andrew sure does keep you on your toes. The story of his ear surgery really touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. What a smart, courageous boy he is. I bet you were so proud of him! He is amazing and there is a special Angel watching over him I can assure you that. I still have EVERYTHING of Ryon's and one thing includes his wallet with only a few things in it. His driving permit, a picture of Andrew and 1 or 2 other items. He loved him so much. Andrew is a survior that's for sure and he will probably have many more battles along the way but just know Ryon is there with him and will be his Guardian Angel forever. I hope all is well with you Anne and the rest of the family. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! Ryon's Mom...Dolores and family.

Just think, 7 years ago Austin was back onthe unit with Andrew, (the other Austin) for his infection. god that seems eras ago at times and other times like yesterday! Call Dr K. (is that who you are under) cause for years i have been throwing away those bills and this year after calling, emailing and everything i put my foot down and said no and dr martin was furious with them and made sure everything was written off back to 2001!!! Great luck in school and I will let you know how Austin makes out next week in 4th grade!!! Can you believe our little miracles have come this far and are going to go even further??!! I LOVE IT!!

Hey there Himes family!!! Oh the dreaded carpal tunnel surgery! Austin had his I believe this sept will be 3 years (maybe 4). now they did both at the same time???? Austin had his done seperate so he would have use of one hand at a time, we went to Dupont hospital in Delaware. They were great, the dr we had left and moved back to Canada but we still see our ortho there, we dont have to see Dr Fitch (Dr Fitch knows this dr and he has a nice relationship or whatever so he said we dont need to see him at duke) Austins hands still look horrible, I Hope Andrew has better success with this surgery, Austin has gained more movement but the curling hasnt gone away and never will, the dr said she got it as straight as she possibly could!
Who diagnosed Andrew with ADHD?? duke??? Austin is very hyper and everything and I thought he was but the one dr asked me if he acted like that at school and home and I said no, just home, he said thats because he knows he can get away with it at home!!! (yep I was a sucker!)
I am trying to get everything together for his duke visit, I really wanted to go with him but I have no vacation time at work and I was home all week with the baby sick. If you guys are ever visiting philly you MUST call us and we can get together !!!!! Miss you lots!

Hey guys!! Good luck in soccer this april!!! He will do great and I am sure the team/coach will be great, Austin used to do softball and honestly could barely hit the ball even while on the tee, they cheered him on always and even though he couldnt run as fast as the other kids to make it to base he had a great time (when he wanted to play!) He is now in cub scouts and is having a great time, he really hasnt done any camping or anything but he loves being with the other kids!
As for the height, Austin had a great growth spurt!! There are actually about 4 or 5 kids in his class shorter than him (by alot too!!) It makes me sooo happy to see that! lol

Andrew, I love the swiffer also!! Great present!! I wish Austin wanted to clean like you!!

Austin is getting ready for his baby brother, 6 weeks and counting! He is looking forward to holding and singing to him and even wanted to know when he could babysit!!!

Gotta love our kids!!!

Andrew, you may come to my house the next time you are in transit from Duke and don't forget to bring the swivel sweeper. I hear you are terrific at sweeping. I think you will do well in soccer also. Taylor does soccer also, but has not developed enough endurance to do a lot of running. You work on your running as it is very important in soccer.
It sounds like you are also doing the same in school with Taylor. He is on the same level of reading. He likes me to read to him better though. Keep working hard in school. Maybe we can get together this summer.

Maybe the height will come but you and I both know that his heart is what matters. I'm proud of Hannah for prodding the letting go. The coach will love him! The extra tutoring is such a good thing. I'm sure that too will be reviewed at the IEP and his progress in behavior. I'm sorry the drugs are causing worries. The swimming sounds just great. What a confidence builder! Thanks for the update. Love, Nancy

Anne, Thank you, sometimes I also forget how others see them, I get so frustrated with him sometimes. It is nice to be reminded not everyone sees him as being loud and getting into everything.

Dear Anne and Andrew and family,
thanks so much for the beautiful pic of andrew and hannah. It's up on the fridge with all the rest. Andrew is getting so big and looking so much like a little boy now and Hannah is so beautiful! It is such a coincidence reading about how you got angry with Andrew's behavior and feeling bad about it. On my way into work today I was remembering how I'd get frustrated with Ryon at times and get on my rampage and get upset with him. Boy, I regret it now and feel so guilty about those times and wish I would have been more understanding. Ryon was a good boy too just like Andrew and these kids have been through more than most people will be in their entire life time and YES I feel they deserve that consideration. Andrew is a good boy and like you said so caring and loving. You and your husband have done a fantastic job and he will grow up to make you so proud, as he has already done many times. I am so happy that Andrew is doing so well he is a sweetie pie and I know Ryon is watching over his buddy. Hope you had a great Christmas and have a Wonderful New Year coming. You all deserve it. Sorry I didn't send any cards out, I just couldn't do it, maybe next year. Love to all, Dolores, "Angel Ryon" and family

Andrew, I'm so proud of you. I read that you jumped off the side of the pool all by yourself and swam back to the side. WOW!! How totally awesome is that. And I heard the job you do at school is great. Hey, I need some stuff done around my house if you ever get bored and need something to do, come on over. Keep up the good work!!Anne, you're a great mom. Don't stress over the small stuff (behavior at school) It will pass. It may seem large at the time but it will get better. Take it from me. I'm very experienced in that field. If you only knew Ashley then. Oh boy. I love maturity. Have a wonderful Christmas.

I love these children, although Hannah is quickly outgrowing the child part. On Sunday, after the children's sermon, which covered all parts of Christmas, even Santa, Andrew shared quietly about having cookies for Santa. As he walked back to his pew, he grinned and told our Pastor, "I'll save a cookie for you." The true spirit of the season. Still brings tears to my eyes.

What a wonderful set of pictures! I just love the Christmas Card picture of Hannah and Andrew. Seeing him in his School Patrol uniform is a hoot. He's so proud and strong. I sure hope the behavior chart helps him to continue progressing. Remember where he was 2 years ago? Love, Nancy and Bill

Gee, Andrew, you sure had a lot of parties last month! You deserve it, though, and the pictures show what a hard worker you really are. I hope you continued to have exciting times for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Mamie's Grandma always said the cakes that fall all to pieces taste the best. I've noticed that the converse is also true - the really pretty ones tend to be a little bland. I used to be so tempted by the chocolate cupcakes with the squiggle of white icing on top of shiny chocolate icing. Every time I walked past the snack machine I'd remind myself that they didn't taste very good, despite the cream-filled center. Eventually it would be too much and I would insert the coins and be disappointed again. I finally decided that since they were just good to look at, I should buy one and just leave it on my desk to look at. Everyone at work knew the explanation, but they didn't know that sooner or later I would eat it anyway and buy a new one before anyone noticed it was missing. They were never very fresh when I ate them, but since they didn't taste good anyway, who cares?

Praying for your health.

Heart Prints

Whatever our hands touch...we leave fingerprints on.
On walls, on furniture, on door knobs, dishes and books.
As we touch we leave our identity..
Oh please where ever I go today...help me leave heart prints.

Heart prints of compassion, understanding and love.
Heart prints of kindness and genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lonely neighbor...or a runaway daughter...
or an anxious mother...or perhaps a dear friend!

I shall go out today...to leave heart prints...
and if some one should say...
'I felt your touch!' May that one sense be...
your loving touch through me!

Hi Andrew,
You have your tongue stuck out while you were cooking. Were you thinking how good those onion rings were going to taste. YUMMY! Now listen up to the teachers (now that you have batteries) (Taylor took one of the batteries out and we didn't know it) Take care and don't eat all the rings at once. By the way, we are having a terrible time keeping Taylor in his wheelchair. Dr. F wants him to stay in it 30 days and everyone has to keep a watch on him. He was showing off that he can bend his legs really well so I know he is waiting for his chance to do more. Thanks for the info and support.

Cheers to Andrew and Hannah!!!!!!
School is a big deal and it is good to hear that both are adjusting well.
We still have to sell our house in WV, but we already bought a place in Middletown, Md - not too far down the road from you guys.
We slept there last night and I saw Dylan and Annalies on the bus this morning.
Dylan had trouble adjusting to a new school, with different kids and without Annalies (I separated them in different classes).
This morning was like the first day again - he cried getting on the bus, but I waved to him and I know he'll be fine.
Our address is: 4308 Serpentine Rd, Middletown, MD 21769.

ANN. IT IS SO VERY GOOD TO SEE THAT ANDREW IS DOING WELL! KYLIE ROSE WAS IN DUKE HOSPITAL WHEN ANDREW ARRIVED IN 2001 THRU 2002. WE STAYED FOR 18 MONTHS OF OUR LIFE. WE STILL GO EVERY YEAR AND WE RECENTLY HAD AN MRI. KYLIE'S DEMYLENATION SEEMS TO HAVE STABLIZED YET HER HANDS ARE TERRIBLE AND HER SIGHT IS 20/80. IT , HER VISION SEEMS TO GO UP AND DOWN AND WE DO NOT KNOW WHY. A MYSTERY I SUPPOSE. HER HANDS ARE SO VERY CURVED AND I HAVE TO MASSAGE HER TO GET HER UP IN THE MORNING DUE TO HER STIFFNESS. NONE TOLD US IT NEVER IS OVER. I HATE THE PAIN AND GRIEF THESE CHILDREN HAVE TO GO THROUGH. KYLIE IS IN THE FIRST GRADE AND I HAVE FOUGHT FOR A YEAR TO GET HER OT AND SPEECH AND THE CHILD HAS TO USE AN ADAPTIVE KEYBOARD, AN ADAPTIVE FORK AND SPOON. SHE CANNOT MAKE A FIST OR CLOSE HER HANDS DUE TO THE CONTRACTURES. ITS REALLY BAD. SHE IS BEGINNING TO NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE AND ASKE QUESTIONS AS TO "WHY DO I HAVE HURLER SYNDROME" AND MANY MORE. SHE MADE ALL A'S AND A FEW "B"S LAST YEAR. OUR SCHOOL IS REALLY DIFFICULT AND IS RATED #3 IN THE STATE IN ACADEMICS. I HAD TO GET A LAWYER AND THEN THEY GOT A LAWYER AND I WAS DOING ALL KYLIE'S ACADEMIC TUTORING IN THE MORNING, THE EVENING, AND ON WEEKENDS. I DO ALL HER OT AND PT. FINALLY, AFTER FIGHTING FOR OVER A YEAR SHE IS NOW GETTING OT AND SPEECH. AFTER A GREAT SUM OF MONEY AND A FIGHT TO GET HER THE RIGHTS STATED IN THE NEW IDEA THAT HAS BEEN REVISED. I WENT TO COLLEGE FOR SO LONG TO LEARN ALL ABOUT THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN AND SO AS FAR AS WHO WON, ALL I CAN SAY IS I AM SMILING AND I WOULD FIGHT FOR ANY CHILD WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. THEY ARE MY LOVE AND I NEVER WANT TO SEE A CHILD RUN OVER DUE TO THEIR PARENTS NOT KNOWING THEIR RIGHTS. EVEN AFTER IT WAS ALL OVER, THE SCHOOL TRIED TO GET ME TO SIGN AWAY HER INSURACE TO PAY THEM BACK WHEN THE HEARING OFFICER DEEMED ME THE PREVAILER AND I DECLINED TO SIGN SO IT STATES THAT THE SCHOOL MUST PAY AND FURNISH THESE SERVICES. THE OT AND THE SPEECH TEACHER NEED TO RESIGN THOUGH BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE A CLUE AS HOW TO HELP THIS CHILD. THEY ARE STILL STUCK IN THE 60'S. I DID NOT SIGN AWAY THE UNITS OF INSURANCE AND YOU AS A PARENT DO NOT HAVE TO ESPECIALLY IF THE SCHOOL IS SUPPOSED TO FURNISH IT AND DID NOT. MANY THINK THEY NEED TO SIGN DUE TO THE SCHOOL WILL SIMPLY SAY "WE NEED YOU TO SIGN HERE" AND THE POOR PARENTS THINK THEY HAVE TO SIGN! IT REALLY MAKES ME ILL. THESE KIDS HAVE ENDURED SO VERY MUCH. HOW IS ANDREWS HEART AND THE INFACTION %. DOES HE HAVE TROUBLE GRASPING THE CONCEPT OF MATH AND READING? SINCERLY, TERESA

Good Evening, Andrew.

It is so great to read about all of the good things in your journal. Keep up the good work, my friend. I sure hope you can give swimming lessons a chance. You will really love swimming, my friend. It feels so good and is good for you.

Sending you Angel Hugs, Praises and Prayers tonight.

"The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works." Psalm 145:9

P.S. Marsh from Angel_Wings is out for a bit and I'll be covering for her. You have a great website, Andrew.

Hello to all of you!
Well, everytime I think my computer is fixed, it does something else. For what seems like forever, I could go to the home page of Andrew's webpage and then I couldn't go to his guestbook. So, I have been praying for him even though I couldn't tell you I was. Oh, by the way, I can certainly relate to your black snake encounter. We have a lot of snakes around here . . . my husband has killed at least 2 copperheads in our yard this year. YUCK! I sure hope you don't encounter any more snakes. You have a good weekend and I am praying for Andrew and all of you. God bless you!

Hi Andrew and Anne
It has been a while since I've posted in your guestbook and I'm sorry. I can't believe what a big boy Andrew has become! So very handsome.... my heart is still palpitating (sp?) after reading your story even though you told us up front he was fine! But I had to read about that freaky snake first..YIKES i can't stand them and laughed when you said you then walked to your friends! Great decision!
Hope you all have a great 4th of July!

What an ordeal with the fall!!!!!! I am so glad that Andrew did not have any serious injury! - and I am happy to read that he seems to be feeling a bit better now! You know how I am about heads!!!! Any news of a head injury sends me in a tizzy!!!!
I would like to hire our little Andrew!!! what a wonderful helper he is!!! I am so impressed! Ty loves to help out with the laundry and with the dishes- he loves to get up on his stool and "wash" the dishes and cups in the sink!!!!

You may already know this family- but I came across this caringbridge page tonight and the little boy reminded me so much of Andrew- I thought I would give you a link just incase you havn't visited this site yet.

OMG Sweetie, You had me in stitches, since I had already read on the forum that Mr. Super Man was fine after this flight, I laughed because you do know how to make an exit. I could just picture you saying "Thank you we had a wonderful time. See ya next year!" All the time with crying kids, running MOC 5 with your hair of fire, and burning tires. OMG You are Super Mom!

OMG Anne~ I have to tell you that I feel your panic.. I was almost in tears reading your entry. Thank Goodness you told us from the start that Andrew is OK! I am SO scared of Alli taking a major fall like that.. I know that our kids can do major damage much easier than a "regular" kiddo. I am SO relieved that Andrew is OK! Dear Anne and Andrew,
Was signing on Ryon's site this am thinking of you guys and planning to sign on Andrew's site and as Ryon's guestbook came up who do I see but your entry. Oh boy, yes you made me cry. I could just envision the whole event at McD's. I know what you mean about saying things to people because I've had the same thoughts. I see something that I want to comment on in regards to how people should realize the gift they have in front of them. Beautiful children to love and enjoy and I just want to go up to them and tell them to enjoy every minute and I want to tell them how much I miss my beautiful son. But yes, they would probably freak out and think who is this crazy woman. I for some reason want to tell everyone about what happened to Ryon and how special and wonderful he is/was. Anyhow, I am so proud of Andrew and his accomplishment's. How awesome is all that!!!!! He is one beautiful, smart and courageous boy! And you are an unbelievable, wonderful awesome Mom. Truely incredible all you've been through. Congrats on your anniversary. You have a gift from God of a wonderful husband and children. Have fun with swimming lessons. I remember ours with my three boys, it was the best part of the summer! Love to you, Andrew and the family.

Blessed Father's Day
For Fatherly Guidance

Lord God, author of all wisdom,
Teach me how to do my work as a father according to your will.
Enlighten my mind that I may understand what to tell my children when it is necessary to give them direction or advice.
Give me good judgment to understand true spiritual values and to guide my family in your ways.
The world makes little of your wisdom and is not instructed in your ways, and close contact with the world makes it easy to become dulled to the things of solid spiritual worth.
Be my guide at all times, that I may be a true father and husband, sensitive always to the divine wisdom that only you can impart.
God, by the light of the Holy Spirit you instruct the hearts of your faithful.
Grant that I may be truly wise and ever enjoy his consolation, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Praying for you,

Hi Anne and Andrew, hoping you are having a good weekend!! Oh, I can't wait til our weather is warm enough to run through sprinklers!!! You know what?? Rhys's BMT doctor said Rhys hasn't grown much in the past year either, even though we know he has. He van reach things he couldn't before(not always a good thing, LOL). We just chalk it up to having "shorter" people in our family, like Rhys's Nana etc.(she's only 5 foot 1 inch tall) I think we can get away with that!!! Anyhow, Rhys sends lots love hugs. Hope you have recovered from those all important shots!

“Love...It bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.”
(1 Corinthians 13:7)

A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.

Jelly beans & Jesus

Have you heard the story of the jelly beans?

Little jelly beans
Tell a story true.
A tale of our Father's love
That's just for me and you.

GREEN is for the new spring grass.
YELLOW is for the sun above.
BROWN is for the soft earth where
People sat hearing of HIS love.

PURPLE'S for the robe he wore
RED is for that precious wine.
BLACK is for the sins He washed
From your soul and mine.

BLUE'S for the sadness of
HIS friends and family,
and is for the glory of the Day
HE rose for you and me.

Now that you've heard the story
You know what each color means.
The story of our Father's love
As told by jelly beans.
So when you see jelly beans on this Easter season,
stop and remember,
Jesus is the reason!

"For God so loved the world, He gave His One and Only Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Sorry to hear about the bad experience in pre op. I hate to hear those kind of stories especially being a OR nurse. But I know sometime things don't go as planned no matter how hard you try. It sounds like he recovered fantastically, espeically making it to his party and his test. What a kid!! I am so happy he can hear better, that is awesome. He is truly a miracle child. Just for this morning, I am going to smile when I see your face and laugh when I feel like crying.
Just for this morning, I will let you wake up softly, all rumpled in your sheets and I will hold you until you are ready for the day.
Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear and smile at how perfect it is. Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry and pick you up and take you to the park and play. Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.

Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off and sit with you in the back yard and blow bubbles.
Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the Ice-cream Truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by.
Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made where you are concerned.
Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.
Just for this afternoon, I will take you to McDonald's and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.

Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.
Just for this evening, I will snuggle besides you for hours, and miss my favorite T.V. show.
Just for this evening, when I run my fingers through your hair as you pray. I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given. I will think about mothers who are searching for their missing children, the mothers who are visiting their children's graves instead of their bedrooms and mothers who are in the hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly, and scream inside that they can't handle it anymore, and when I kiss you goodnight, I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then I will thank God for you and ask him for nothing,

EXCEPT ONE MORE DAY

Hey Anne, This school stuff is soooo complicated!! Tears just came to my eye reading your update, I am very emotional about school these days. We had Nolan's meeting Thursday and he is going to start Kindergarten, but with lots of help, I am not sure I am ready for this. Hope Andrew gets better so he can get the ear tubes!! I know how they can really make a difference. Hang in there!!!
Love Ya, Nancy

When I read your entries I am amazed at the progress Andrew is making in school and with his behavior. Remember when you just wanted him to be able to sit still to participate. He's made great strides. Maybe his ears just aren't ready for those tubes. Hang on.

Hi,
Believe it or not, I have two nurses upstairs so I have some time to pop down here and visit some websites. I apologize that I haven't been here in a while. It is so hard to get time to update Ryan's and Alyssa's(which I haven't done yet). I am having too much fun catching up on my friends. Andrew looks awesome. I loved your new pictures. How exciting it must be to watch him write those Thank you cards. Our children have gone through so much yet they continue to wear their beautiful smiles. Andrew is one handsome guy. I will keep him in my prayers for his ear surgery. Keep up the great work, Andrew!!!! Eventhough I may not be here as much as I would like I think of your family often and I appreciate your support!!! God Bless
