Laur, I'm going through such a hard time right now. I can't stop crying, God took Mike and Mark away from me like he took you. I want you guys back. Life is so hard for me right now. Please welcome them to heaven. Tell them I miss them so much and I love them. I would do anything to get them back, as for you too Laur. I would do anything to get any of you back. You guys need to come back. You need to come home. I can't believe you're gone. I'd do anything just to hang out with yous or see you or talk to you or hear you just one more time. I wanna say goodbye and i love you. God took yous from me, but I need you more, it hurts so, much to even think you're not here. None of you deserved this. I can't help but wonder what heavens like, I wish I could visit. I love you and miss you.

Dear Laur,
So his past Friday was your 7th anniversary. 7 years ago was the last time i heard/seen you, the last time I talked to you. This day, 7 years ago was when I had to say goodbye to my best friend. Life will never be the same without you. Not being able to fight, and gossip, and shop, and just have that sister bond kills me, knowing you could be here is the worst part of all. I'm not as happy without you. Everyday I miss you more and... more. God took you away from me way to fast. I'm happy you're not suffering anymore but I still want you here with me. You'll always be my baby sister. No matter what. I love you more than anything. The date 12/09/04 will always be the worst day of my life. I promise you no matter where life takes me I will always love you. I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye. I was to young to understand. But now I understand that no matter what we'll always be sisters. Laur, this weekend got worse, I lost 2 of my friends. they were hit by a guy who was high off marijuana. laur, it hurts so much to even think about. ive been crying all weekend. make sure to welcome then home. let mark know im sorry for not answering him. tell him we will always be cousins. god laur i need you right now this has been the worst weekend ever. i need you . keep a lookout for the family. and the Taylor's and McNeill's also. love and miss you laur.

Dear Laur,
so i've been talking to you a lot lately and you've really been helping me out. thanks for that. were getting close to your anniversary, which is honestly the worst time of year for me. but i know to be strong, because thats what you would want. im asking you to please watch over me through high school, through the drama, and grades, and activities and oh laur guess what i was elected csc freshman representitive and my drawing won the freshman tee shirt design and i was put on shadow list! like wow, who wouldve thought?(: high schools been great except for the drama, please laur please keep that as far away as possible. im trying to just ignore it all and not let it affect me but well you know how it is. so please keep me out of it. remind me to not freak out at people and to not start drama, and all that. remind me to make the right choices especially. help me in school, i really need it. and remember to watch over the family. we all miss you laur, especially me. its so hard having to post this on here rather than walk in your room and talk to you about it. i know your always with me though. ill talk to you later laur, i love & miss you sooo much. please help me stay strong.

Dear Laur,
As you can see I started high school. It's crazy to even think I'm in 9th grade. You'd be in sixth. Time flies, huh? Well a day doesn't go by without thinking about you. I miss you. I've been through so much without you. I wish you were here so bad. Right now, I don't know whats wrong, I just have so much going on. And with you not being here, makes life so much harder. You'd be proud of what I've accomplished. Especially having to explain to everyone at Prendie that I have a sister, she's just not visible. She's up cancer free, being the most beautiful angel. A lot of girls made the bracelet I made in memory of you, which makes me so happy, it makes me feel as if people do care about me and especially you. I still wish I could just walk into your room and see you sitting there, life won't ever be the same Laur. It hurts so much to think of how you could be here. You'll always be my baby sister. No matter how far life takes me, you'll always be with me. I miss and love you.

How can time crawl and fly at the same time? It seems impossible that Laurens been in Heaven for 5 years. But we know that's where she is, watching over you guys, loving you and knowing you'll be together again someday. In the meantime, she's probably gathering all the money the Angels drop <3

~ Guardian Angels ~

When Angels sense you need them,
And Angels always do ...
They come, unseen, from everywhere
To help and comfort you.

They hover close beside you
Till all your cares are gone,
Till they can see you're ready
Once again to carry on.

Then some of them may fly away
And take their gentle touch,
To other hearts that... need
The love of Angels very much.

But one, at least, stays with you
As your constant friend and guide,
For GUARDIAN ANGELS never leave,
They're always at your side.
~ Author Unknown ~

Lauren,
It is so hard to believe that 5 years have passed since you became a beautiful angel in Heaven. Not a day goes by that we don't think of you 'our Guardian Angel' who watches over us!

We love you and we miss you!!!

Dear Sis, I wrote this Poem for you......

Lauren's Poem

It's been 5 years we've been apart,
I remember it from the start,
I remember welcoming you to the world,
When mom and dad said it's a girl.

I remember when you leard how to walk,
I remember when you began to talk,
I remember playing outside,
With you always by my side.

Mom and Dad sat me down,
They were talking with a frown,
They told me you were not well,
But they were afraid to tell.

I remember going to a different house each night,
With you giving me a fright,
But I remember the one and only time,
Mom call and said you should come say goodbye.

Although I never really did say goodbye,
I thought this would be the time,
It's been 5 years we've been apart,
And I've loved you from the start.

Goodbye for now baby girl,
As you say goodbye to the world,
But until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Someone sent this to me, so I wanted to share it:

You taught us about love.
You taught us about caring.
You taught us about courage.
You taught us about faith.
You taught us about happiness.
You taught us about sorrow.

You brought us closer to each other.
In the time we cared for you,
how our lives changed.
Never to be the same again.
Because of you
we know we will somehow be stronger.

Because of you
we know we will be more prepared for life.
All this from your tiny fingerprints
that touched our hearts.
Because of this
you will live forever in our souls
never to be forgotten.
We will always love you.

We hope you are enjoying "Angel cake" in heaven!!!

Visitor From Heaven

A visitor from heaven, if only for a while,
A gift of love to be returned
We think of you and smile.
A visitor from heaven accompanied by grace
Reminding of a better love and of a better place.
With aching hearts and empty arms
We send you with a name
It hurts so much to let you go,
But we’re so glad you came.

Lauren will be in our hearts forever. And she is no doubt especially proud of her big sister Megan and to her Mom and Dad. Tomorrow she will celebrate her 4th anniversary in Heaven. And no doubt she will have celebrate in a big way letting her fabulous smile and personality shine through. Perhaps she will have some butter cookies and tea with Mrs. Colvin. It has been a while since I've written. I hope you know that I think about our Lauren every day. Once in a while I hear the song "Country Road" and immediately think of her. More often, I'll find a penny or some other coin and say "Hi Lauren". While my intentions are always to call and say hello, time just escapes me. My love and prayers are always with you. Dear Michele, Bob and Megan,
The last few months have been filled with so many milestones including Lauren's birthday and the day she would have received her First Holy Communion. I am sure that these milestone's can be very sad because you all miss her so much. She is with Jesus always and forever and knowing that still can't erase your longing for her. Just know that we are keeping you all in our prayers and that we pray to Lauren to help her family through the especially difficult days. You are ALL an inspiration to the entire Holy Cross community in how you love and help others especially those who have a child who is ill. No one will ever forget Lauren or what you have all endured. After all she is with you always and forever in your hearts!

Lauren,

We liked this poem so much, that we wanted to share it with you.

'TWAS THE DAY BEFORE EASTER

'Twas the day before Easter
..and all through the woods,
The bunnies were busy
packing their goods.
The eggs were all colored
so pretty and bright,
All things were "go"
for the big, special night.

The baskets were waiting,
all decorated with care,
In hopes that the Bunny
soon would be there.
My older cousin Megan
was asleep in her bed,
While visions of Easter eggs
rolled round in her head.

And I in my pajamas
with my doll on my lap,
I had just settled down
for a quick little nap.
When outside the window
I heard a great noise,
I sprang from my chair
and jumped over some toys.

As quick as a flash
to the window I flew,
I pulled up the shade
and, OH, what a view.
The moon on the meadow
cast a bright golden glow
And the wind blew the flowers
to and then fro.

Then all of a sudden
from out of nowhere,
Came some lively bunnies,
hopping here, hopping there!
Leading the group
with ears long and funny
Was a plump, all-white rabbit...
That's right...the EASTER BUNNY!

The bunnies hopped past,
one, two, three, four,
The rabbit called out
and then there were more.
"Come, Peter!, Come, Flopsy!,
Come, Benny!, Come, Joe!
Now hop along! Hop along! Hop along! GO!"

So up on each doorstep
the bunnies did hop,
With baskets of eggs.
(Let's hope they don't drop)!
Just at that moment,
on the porch down below,
Came the stomping of feet
'Twas the rabbit, I know!

As I stepped from my window
I heard a loud sound.
Through the door came the rabbit
with a leap and a bound.
He was furry and soft
from his head to his feet.
To see him so close
was really quite neat.

He was surrounded by eggs
that had been carefully dyed.
Easter eggs galore he soon would hide.
His eyes were all twinkles,
His nose was so pink,
And I can't be too sure,
but I think he did wink.

He had a kind face
and a big fluffy tail
That bobbed up and down
like a boat with a sail.
A twitch of his nose
and a flick of his ear
Was his way of saying,
"You've nothing to fear."

He uttered no sound
as he hopped all about
Hiding the eggs and leaving no doubt,
That the Easter bunny had come
like he does every year...
Bringing baskets of happiness
to children so dear.

Hope you like it!

We love you and we miss you!!!

It is so hard to believe that you have been an angel now for three years. Time is just flying by so fast. There is not a day that goes by that we don't think of you. Hi Lauren, I can't believe it's your third year in heaven. I miss you so much. I'm sorry for every fight we got into, I remember when you would ask me to sleep with you and I would scratch your back and sing to you till you fell asleep. I wish I could still do that. I miss you sis, I miss not having anyone on Earth to call sis. But I can't blame God for not wanting you in Heaven, you are the best sister. I would give everything I had away to have you here. I Love you sooooo much and don't forget it. I know your always with me and everyone. Make sure you look after me and our crazy family. I LOVE YOU. Love, Megan

It is really hard to believe how time is just flying by. It seems like just yesterday you were hitting the pinata with Kristen and Megan. That was such a fun day -- one that we will never forget.

We think of you all the time, especially when we listen to the wonderful CD that Aunt Lisa gave to us. My favorite songs on the CD are "I believe" and "Country Roads", and Kristen just loves dancing around to "Help me Rhonda", it makes her laugh and have a really good time.

Here's wishing you a very Happy 7th Birthday!!!

HI Megan: What a beautiful update . You are quite an accomplished writer. I also just loved your note to Lauren. She touched so many of our lives in the short time she was with us, and she continues to do it through you. I know that she must be very proud of you and I'll bet she follows you around a lot. I will pray for Matthew's sister, Alex, in the hope of a miracle.

In the meantime, be happy, say Hi to your mom and dad for me. Just know that when I think of Lauren, I also think of you. You are an amazing little girl. Love.

Dear Lauren,

We don't know where the last 2 years have gone. Time has been flying by so fast. It seems like just yesterday you were sitting on our couch in your ballet outfit smiling from ear-to-ear. We just love that picture of you.

We stop by and see you every chance we get. Kristen loves to bring you little gifts and leave them for you.

Halloween was not the same this year without you. Kristen wore the poodle skirt, like you guys discussed a few years ago. She said trick-or-treating was not as much fun because you weren't right there with her. She misses you so much!

Well be thinking of you a lot tomorrow at the candle-lighting ceremony. We will say an extra prayer and send some kisses up to you.

Michele, Bob, and Megan,
I feel a little strange posting this, but wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and Lauren. Not sure if you will remember who I am. My name is Cara, I was a child life intern at CHOP when Lauren was diagnosed. Even though she did not like being in the hospital :) I always remembered her and the wonderful support she receieved from you her amazing family. I am now a Child Life Specialist in the Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Cook Children's in Fort Worth, TX. I get on Caringbridge occasionally to look at some patient's websites and for some reason Lauren popped into my mind today, so I just typed in her name and I was thrilled to see her smiling face. I spent hours reading what you all have been through in the past two years and my heart truely aches for you. I am so amazed at your strength and determination to continue your fundrasing efforts in honor of Lauren. I have several patients currently battling NB and money for research is definately needed. Well, I don't want to ramble but wanted you to know that Lauren touched so many lives, many you may not even know about. Hope this finds you all doing well. I will continue to check in on you and keep you in my prayers.

Hi Michele: I honestly don't know where the summer went either. I think about all of you quite a lot. In your update you mentioned that Megan went to the mountains for a week, and it just touched my heart because, as you know, that's where my little Tony lives now. It has been almost a year and my heart still aches. I just can't imagine how you get through each day. Good luck with your new job. I know that you're just great with those little ones. Isn't it so rewarding to teach them? This is my 2nd year teaching CCD at OLPH (third grade), and I love it.

Hope to talk to you soon. Stay well and God bless all of you. Love, Terri

I'm just stopping by to say hello. I guess you've started all of the school supply shopping and Megan is probably getting excited about her first day back at HC. Danny's stuff has all been bought but I don't believe he has the same level of excitement that he had back when he was going into fourth grade.

I just found Lauren's website through the Lunch for Life site. Isn't it strange that you updated today and today is the first time I saw her page. You sure had a beautiful litle girl. I am very sorry for your loss. My friend's son passed away almost two years ago from that dreaded NB. I am now trying to make others aware of this disease so that hopefully enough people will donate to Lunch for Life and maybe someday there will be a cure. I'm a Pampered Chef consultant and I have online fund-raisers for families with children fighting cancer. I give all my commission to these families. If you know of anyone in need, please pass on my e-mail address.

I will add your family to my prayer list. I have 3 and 5 year olds, so as a Mom, I can't imagine the hell you've been through. My heart goes out to you all.

Hang in there!

Sincerely,
Gina

Michele, Bob and Megan,

Today marks the day that your little angel Lauren began touching the lives of all those around her, especially my family. We join you in celebrating her birthday today. “Laurens Legacy” will continue to change the lives of all those who are lucky enough to have gotten to know her, either before OR after she became an angel. I came across this poem and thought it was perfect for today.

Birthdays are a time for celebration
Not a time for tears
But what happens when the birthdays
No longer mark the years?

A birthday marks the moment
A spirit enters earthly life
To share its special love and joy
And learn from earthly strife.

Before a spirit comes to us
It knows when it must depart
It chose its path very carefully,
We are honored from the start.

The sadness you now feel
On such a joyous day
Is longing for your loved one's touch
It's natural to feel this way.

For even though the birthdays
No longer mark a spirit's stay
Her love continues on forever
To touch you everyday.

Hug your precious memories
So close within your heart
And honor your beloved child’s spirit
Who chose you from the start.

We continue to save our pennies and pick them up whenever we see them on the ground and think of her. We hope our third grade class collected many toys for you to deliver to CHOP this week in memory of Lauren -One of the toys Andrew sent was a Care Bear book and crayons - he remembered she loved Care Bears (along with of course some Star Wars figures etc for some special boy to enjoy!) When your heart is hurting and you want to cry
I’m your friend and will always stand by.
I know there is nothing that I can do
The healing is strictly up to you~

For these are troubles that are all your own
And the paths your soul must tread alone.
A time when caring cannot smooth the road
And friendship can’t lift the heavy load~

But please know you always have a friend
Who will stand by you until the end
Whose sympathy through it all endures
Whose warm safe hug is always yours~

I hope it helps a little, to pull you through
If caring for you is all I can do.
So when your heart is hurting and you want to cry,
I am your friend and I’ll always stand by.

Lots of Love, Lisa <m3grl@comcast.net>

Bob, Michele, & Megan,

It is so hard to believe it has been a year since Lauren became one of Gods precious little angels. We know that today and the upcoming holiday will be hard for all of you, but know that there are many people who love and care about you and are here to help you through it. Lauren would want you all to be happy and enjoy the holiday season knowing that she is watching over all of you.

We love you all!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Lauren,

We don't know if it snows in heaven, but we thought of you today (as we do everyday) when we made a snow angel. You may have gone to heaven a year ago, but your spirit lives on in each of us here on earth!!!

Happy Holidays Lauren ~ we love you and miss you!!!

Lauren,

We want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and to let you know that the most important thing that we are thankful for is getting the chance to know you and love you (even if it was for just a short time.)

You have impacted our lives more than you will ever know. Your laughter, singing, dancing and warm smile are things that we will never forget. We know that you are always with us and sending us your strength to try to understand why you had to go. So many things remind us of you -- we see a rainbow and we know that you are near, we see a butterfly and we know that you are near and of course when we find that shiny penny on the ground, we know that you are near. Kristen has started a butterfly collection in your memory.

We hope you like the turkey that we left for you. We are sending a great big hug and kiss your way {smooch}.

Happy 'Turkey' Day - gobble, gobble, gobble!

We love you and miss you!!!

Aunt Michele, I came across this poem and I thought of you. I love you <3

My Mom is a survivor
Or so I've heard it said
But I hear her crying at night
When all others are in bed

I watch her lay awake at night
And go to hold her hand
She doesn't know I'm with her
To help her understand

But like the sands on the beach
That never wash away
I watch over my surviving Mom
Who thinks of me each day

She wears a smile for others
A smile of disguise
But through Heaven's door
I see tears flowing from her eyes

My Mom tries to cope with death
To keep my memory alive
But anyone who knows her
Know it's her way to survive

As I watch over my surviving Mom
Through Heaven's open door
I try to tell her that angels
Protect me forever more

But I know that doesn't help her
Or ease the burden she bears
So if you get the chance, go visit her
And show her that you care

For no matter what she says...
No matter what she feels...
My surviving Mom has a broken heart
That time won't ever heal

I Believe
~Diamond Rio~

Every now and then,
Soft as breath upon my skin,
I feel you come back again.

And it's like you haven't been,
Gone a moment from my side.
Like the tears were never cried,
Like the hands of time are holding you and me.

And with all my heart I'm sure,
We're closer than we ever were.
I don't have to hear or see,
I've got all the proof I need.
There are more than angels watching over me.
I believe, Ohhh I believe.

Now when you die your life goes on,
It doesn't end here when you're gone.
Every soul is filled with light,
It never ends, and if I'm right.
Our love can even reach across eternity,
I believe, Ohhh I believe.

Forever, you're a part of me.
Forever, in the heart of me.
I will hold you even longer if I can.
Oh the people who don't see the most,
See that I believe in ghosts.
And if that makes me crazy, then I am...
'Cause I believe.......

Ohhhh, I believe...

There are more than angels watching over me.
I believe, Ohhh I believe.

Every now and then,
Soft as breath upon my skin,
I feel you come back again.
And I believe.

Dear Bob, Michele and Megan~

You will probably find lots of pennies, especially today, on Lauren's birthday...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Sometimes, when you least expect it
You will find a penny or two
They could have come from anywhere

But...

These aren’t just any pennies
These pennies come from Heaven
They come from an Angel, who you miss very much

Sometimes…you’ll find them when you’re feeling sad
Sometimes…you’ll find them when you’re feeling alone
Sometimes…you’ll find them when you think no one cares

So...

You’ll never pass by those pennies

Because you’ll know…

That they were tossed from Heaven above
From your little Angel Lauren
‘Cause she just wants you to know
How very much you are loved.

LAUREN, HAVE A BEAUTIFUL 5th BIRTHDAY IN HEAVEN! AFTER THE ANGELS SING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, MAYBE YOU CAN TEACH THOSE ANGELS HOW TO REALLY SING! I'LL BET THEY DON'T KNOW THE WORDS TO TAKE ME HOME, COUNTRY ROADS...

how happy you're sure to be.

Birthdays In Heaven

Are there birthdays in Heaven?
Does the angel blow his horn?
Announcing to everybody
That this is the day you were born?

Can the stars be your balloons
And angel food your cake?
Presents wrapped in moonbeams
All the angels helped to make.

Birthdays meant so much to you
They were always a big deal
Birthday presents, lots of friends
And perhaps a special meal.

So I'll whisper a little prayer today
Asking everyone up above
To sing you a Happy Birthday song
And give you all my love.

Dear Lauren, it's your birthday
Your five years old today
I'm sure that heaven's celebrating
in a very special way.

I see you with a lilac crown
a purple flower in your hand
And gatherd all around you
Your very own Care Bear band.

The jokes that you would share with me
Still bring a smile to my face
The games we played, the fun we had,
Can never be erased.

You truly were a special girl
And oh so very smart
Your winning smile and twinkling eyes
Will long live in my heart.

A song about a country road
Was one you loved to sing
Who knew that road would take you home
To meet our heavenly King.

I'm grateful for the time we had
And wish that it qwere more
You touched so many lives on earth
Yet you were only four.

So happy birthday, Lauren
I just wanted you to know
You'll always be my special girl
And I love and miss you so!

Just wanted you to know I still come by your Web site for Lauren even though we do not know each other. When I look at the photo page, it is the middle picture that touches my heart the most and brings tears to my eyes.

I know this is so very, very hard. God asks us to trust and yet while we trust Him it is OK to ask WHY?

Just as the suffering from the tsunami will be redeemed, somehow and someday, by God, so too shall all of Lauren's suffering and her unnatural early death.

MIchele, I have been checking for an update. I am glad to hear from you. I can't imagine how difficult the holidays were. So many people have asked me here if I have talked to you or not. So many send their well wishes. Hang in there. Give Megan and Bob a hug for me. Take care.

Bob,Michele & Megan,
I know Christmas had to be hard for you but we just wanted to let you know we were thinking of you and praying for God to give you the strength to deal with your lost. I saw Santa go to your house on Christmas Eve and to see Megan jump up and down and Michele smile was the best gift I could have ask for.We are always thinking of you and both of your families. I am sure you little Angel had a wonderful Christmas, free of sickness and pain. I know she is smiling down on you and is with you in spirit. I hope you have a better New Year you all deserve it.

Michele, Bob & Megan,

Thank you for having us over for Christmas Eve and for including Kristen in Santa's visit to your house. That just made her Christmas!

May you all find peace and happiness this Christmas and in the New Year. Lauren will always be close by and watching over each of you. She is a very special angel!

We will remember her always ~ especially when we find that shiny penny on the ground, when we see a beautiful rainbow in the sky or of course; anytime we hear:

~ ~ Country Roads ~ ~ (This one’s for you Lauren...)
by: John Denver

Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue ridge mountains, Shenandoah river
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze

Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

All my mem’ries, gather ’round her
Miner’s lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye

Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

I hear her voice, in the mornin’ hours she calls to me
The radio reminds me of my home far a-way
And drivin’ down the road I get a feeling’
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday

Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

We Love You ~*~ Merry Christmas!!!

Dear Bob and Michelle,

I am not sure whose CaringBridge site I came from but I just wanted to offer my condolences. Even though I obviously never knew Lauren, I had tears and a lump in my throat when I looked at the pictures. What a precious daughter!!

We also lost our daughter to neuroblastoma in May 2002. I will not tell you that the pain goes away but God certainly has given me strength to live in this pain.

I'm sure too that Christmas this year will be unbearably hard. Sometimes all we can do is think of Jesus and know that our children's souls are overflowing with joy.

Lauren is heaven's gain and your deep, deep loss. I'm so very, very sorry.

God bless,

I was very touched by the service for Lauren today. She was a beautiful little girl and even though I never had a chance to meet her, I feel like I've known her all along. I've been told so many things about her and she was a charming little girl. Whenever I see loose change on the street, I will immediately think of Lauren and know that she is watching over all of us from heaven.

The service to celebrate Laurens life today was so very touching. It's amazing that Lauren had such an impact on so many people at only four and a half years old. I know this to be very true because I was one of them. Your little girl fought with courage and a smile (and her humor) and she will never be forgotten. I feel honored to have been part of Laurens life. Her Aunt Denise described Lauren exactly the way she truly was and the way I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HER. Lots of Love & Prayers, Lisa

Bob, Michele & Megan,

Thank you for letting us back in your lives this past year. I am sorry it took something so tragic to bring us all back together again.

Getting to know Megan and Lauren has been the greatest gift we could have ever asked for. They are both wonderful little girls and you are both amazing parents.

Thank you for opening your hearts to us and for giving us the opportunity to get to know Lauren before she became one of God's precious Angels. She taught us the true meaning for life and the true meaning of the word 'family'. She will remain in our hearts forever!

It's really unbelievable to know that one little girl touched so many lives and filled so many hearts with beautiful memories that will stay with us ALWAYS!

Today's Mass was absolutely beautiful; it was an amazing tribute to an amazing little angel. (Thank you for including Kristen in the Mass, that meant so much to her. She loved Lauren more than you will ever know.)

Thank you again!

We love you!!!

Another angel takes flight.

My deepest, most sincere sympathy and condolences to each and every one of you!! Lauren was a fighter, there is no doubt about that! She is now pain free, free to fly in the Heavens and watch over all of you!
We lost our precious Pam on Oct. 7, 2003, so I know what you are going through. There are no words that can ease the pain.

The worst thing that can happen to a parent is to lose a child. It feels like someone ripped your heart out. You go from the unbelievable to the unbearable.

Lauren is in a good place now and I'm sure Pam is with her. She just loved children so much.

I would just like to share a saying that was on the card my wife Diane picked out, and we bought for Pam:

If you were a star
That wasn’t expected back
In the universe
For a thousand years,
I’d wait.

If you were the sky
And everyone went inside
When you got sad
And started to rain,
I’d stay.

And if you were a peach
And the world decided to get rid of all peaches,
I’d pick you up,
Put you in my pocket…

AND KEEP YOU……..FOREVER.

I would also like to share, with you and your family, a poem that was put on Pam’s website:
God's Garden

God looked around His garden
And found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face

He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered "Peace Be Thine."

It breaks our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

Below is a poem that we have on a plaque dedicated to Pam:

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death
we do the same… It broke our
hearts to lose you, you did not go
alone; for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home… You
left us peaceful memories, your love
is still our guide, and though we
cannot see you, you are always at our
side… Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one,
The Chain will link again.

You are all in our prayers. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Although I only met Lauren once (at Aunt Denise's Job), that meeting has changed my life. God gave me an opportunity to meet one of his ANGELS first hand. I know Lauren is a blessing to you and your family, but she has been a blessing to me as well. Lauren is dancing and smiling now, even playing dress-up again with her other ANGEL friends, and she is watching over you all.

With my deepest condolences and prayers. My church family (New Umbria Baptist Church) and I have you in our prayers.

December 9, 2004

Lauren became an angel today
God knows we didn’t want her to leave
We just wanted some more time with her
It seems that forever we will grieve.

Lauren became an angel today
She was not feeling well at all
Now she is free from all her troubles
Because she heard Gods call.

Lauren became an angel today
She soared to heaven above
Greeted by God waiting for her
She was surrounded by his love.

Lauren became an angel today
Her pain was not Gods plan
He will keep her safe and loved
And we will be together again.

Love and prayers, Lisa

You are a beautiful little girl with so many similarities with my little girl Aleah who was dx on 12-29-03 with Stage 4 NB,, she is now 3 yrs old and just finished her 12 days of Radiation. We are awaiting more scans and either Accutane or news of getting to do the study involving Ch14.18 monoclonal antibodies. Aleah is doing well too, and it is good to hear you have responded to treatments as well. There are too many of you little ones with this disease. We got your site from the lunchforlife website. We'll also add in lots of extra prayers for your Mom that God gives her the strength to keep running on less sleep than usual!!

Lauren & Family
Just to say hello from down the hall... happy day that you got your cells today!
For all those wondering, Lauren is doing well, she did fine thru the chemo, got her transplant today, and is as fiesty as ever! Michelle and Bob are strong and loving parents balancing their time between Lauren here and Megan at home. All we C.H.O.P. families can do is give our children love and support and help the nurses and doctors work toward recovery.
LIVESTRONG is more than a slogan on a wrist band, its a way of living.

Lauren, you've never met us but we have seen you at church and at the Springfield Inn for Sunday morning breakfast! Colleen is in the 6th grade and Danny in the 4th grade up at Holy Cross and we just wanted you to know that we are praying for you every day that the medicines make all those yucky cells keep getting smaller and smaller and then go away really fast. I check in with Mrs. Moeller and she keeps me posted all of the time about you. Now that we have your web page saved on our favorites, we can come back to see how you're doing all of the time.
