Hi,

I am the Dad of AJ, a 14 year old cancer victim. I wanted to make you aware (maybe again) and enlist your help for the Cure Childhood Cancer petition! The GREAT news is that CureSearch, LIVESTRONG and Alex’s Lemonade Stands have ALL written about the Petition on their websites! And TX Children’s and DUKE have both allowed us to setup paper versions inside the hospitals! WE ARE MAKING HEADWAY and are at over 11,000 signatures! But we need your help again. If you can please make your readers aware, email it around again, and give just a little publicity, I think we can make this happen!

Thanks again,
AJs Dad

Although we have followed through the side lines our prayers have been with you and your family from day one. Our hearts wept the day we found out Kylie had passed. A beautiful girl she will always be. We wish you and your family all the best that life has to offer.
The greatest joys in life are the memories we can pass down to our children. Kylies memory will be one that is embedded in so many hearts that she will live on for eternity. God Bless.

I haven't been a very good friend lately, I haven't been checking in lately. I am sorry. I don't think a day goes by when something reminds me of Kylie, usually it is something Mary says or I see her wearing that purple bracelet. Just know that your family is always in our prayers.

We saw the headstone yesterday and it is truly beautiful. The inscription could not be more perfect. We all stopped and prayed and there was a sense of peace but also sadness. I wish that it wasn't this way but if it had to be you have truly honored your daughter both in life and in death as the precious gift from God that she was to all who had the priviledge of knowing her.

Your message resonates with me that in parenting there is so much intense closesness (we carry them in our own bodies!) and intense separation all throughout the process that is so profound! There must be a special place for us in heaven. I think we are sharing in one of God's great mysteries, both the joy and the pain.

Jelly beans & Jesus

Have you heard the story of the jelly beans?

Little jelly beans
Tell a story true.
A tale of our Father's love
That's just for me and you.

GREEN is for the new spring grass.
YELLOW is for the sun above.
BROWN is for the soft earth where
People sat hearing of HIS love.

PURPLE'S for the robe he wore
RED is for that precious wine.
BLACK is for the sins He washed
From your soul and mine.

BLUE'S for the sadness of
HIS friends and family,
and is for the glory of the Day
HE rose for you and me.

Now that you've heard the story
You know what each color means.
The story of our Father's love
As told by jelly beans.
So when you see jelly beans on this Easter season,
stop and remember,
Jesus is the reason!

"For God so loved the world, He gave His One and Only Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16

Praying for you,
Barb, John, Shawn,

Dear Amanda and James,
I'm so glad to hear from you again. It seems like the big party was just yesterday. The kids had so much fun that night. Great memories. We continue to pray for your family. In fact, my youngest prayed tonight and she prayed for your new baby to "come out just fine when the time comes". I think she's been viewing the Baby Channel on T.V. Anyway, we still think of you daily. Take care.

Dear Amanda and James,
God is good! I'm so thrilled to hear of your news. The coolest part is that I'm sure Kylie already new of this great news. She's probably already filled the baby in on all the ways to keep Jackie busy so he/she can play with her toys. If I know Kylie, she's taken care of all of that. It's coming close to the AWANA Grand Prix. I will always treasure the memories I have from last year. Kylie and dad shared a special bond that day, discussing how to make a fast car. I continue to pray for your family. Thanks for sharing your life with all of us.

Dear Amanda,
I want to copy what Cookie said. #11 on the list is the wonderful example that you and James have been to so many. You'll never know how many people you have helped. You have been a great example to myself. I admire your strength. Kylie has taught us so much in 10 years. Many of us have more years here and yet have not touched as many as she had in 10. God bless you this week.

I just wanted to thank you, Amanda for being such a tremendous example of faith. Your list reminded me of how the gospel tells us (1 Thessalonians 5:18:
18) "Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." You are truly living the faith.
God bless you always,
Sharon
