Hi Mr. Ames and Family:

Please accept my deepest sympathy of the loss of Wendy. I was a patient of hers. I saw her once a year, but when we saw each other, it was like we talked every day.

I was a bone marrow donor for my sister about five years ago. She had the non-hodgkins disease (a form of cancer). Wendy and I always talked about it and her upcoming visit to the hospital. We actually talked longer than we shold have, I think, but she didn't seem to care. She was so confident she was going to make it through it. She was one head strong girl!!!

I know you can't see her, but she is with you and your family. You will know when you aren't doing the vacuuming right, she will tell you (in one way or another). Can you just hear her?

Please know she loves you all and is an angel sitting on your shoulder just like my sister is. Some times we don't know why God gives us a shot below the belt, but we will one day. Our lives definetely change and one day you will be together again.

Take care and know she is with you. Now you are walking with God AND Wendy because we know that God will never let us walk alone.

Art and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I had no idea that she was even sick.
I lost my father late in August to Pulmonary Fibrosis. The loss is huge, but God has him now and he can breathe again. Wendy is with God I am sure of that and she suffers no more.
Please feel free to drop me a line when you are able and feel like some online conversation.

Art, Nathan, Ben , and family,
I just got back last night and heard the terrible news. I am so sorry. I am still in a state of disbelief. Art, this is a beautiful website. Having been lucky enough to be on the E-mail list I had not logged on until now. Reading Wendy's entries I can still hear her voice and see her face. Wendy was a great physician's assistant. She was so smart. I learned so much from her and always valued her opinion. I looked forward to our days out in Farmington where we were actually able to talk and get to know eachother. I always loved her matter of fact statements. She was a wonderful person.
Art, Nate, and Ben, please let me know if there is anything I can do. I will never forget when you opened up your home to me last Christmas. It was an honor to be able to participate-listen to Wendy read to the boys. She will be missed.

Nathan and Ben,
Your mom was a tough one!! She always put up the best fight. I trust that you find it in you to take her strength and carry her with you forever. The day you boys came in with your halloween costumes made her smile so bright. She could not stop talking about you and how proud of you she was. You are two of the strongest boys I have met. I hope your strength combines with that of your moms and sees you through these days. My prayers are with you.

Art, just read through the "history" posts that you and Wendy had put together over the last 2 months and I have a tear and am caught without words. I know at a time like this there seems to be little anyone can say to ease your loss. Reading through the days of ups and downs, you and your wife are two of the bravest people in the world. To maintain the courage to endure what you both went through is beyond words. I again will say prayers for you and your family. The sun did come out today for the first time in days, Wendy must be with God, smiling and maybe this is a way for her to show us all. God Bless.

Wendy, today was the first i'd heard of this website, what a great idea! I've been reading ALL of the entries dating back to 2001!!!!! WHO KNEW? It's been truely amazing to "feel" your good days and bad ones too, Art is soooooooo in love with you and it shows in every entry. You are so blessed to have him and the boys there for no matter what. I really enjoyed your going away hat party at DiPacifics on 9/11, your beautiful modeling of everything was priceless! I gave you a hug goodbye that night knowing I'd see you in a few months back up and about, but if god has other plans for you I will ALWAYS remember that hug. May he pull you through this hardest day of your life, if he doesn't then he needed you now as an angel. You are,and have been in my prayers for years now and they will never stop, GOD BLESS you and all of your family. I love you!!!! Here's a "fritty" face for you from me... Kelly

You're the top!
You're the Colosseum.
You're the top!
You're the Louvre Museum.
You're a melody from a symphony by Strauss
You're a Bendel bonnet,
A Shakespeare's sonnet,
You're Mickey Mouse.
You're the Nile,
You're the Tower of Pisa,
You're the smile on the Mona Lisa
I'm a worthless check, a total wreck, a flop,
But if, baby, I'm the bottom you're the top!

GET WELL OR I WILL CALL AND SING THIS TO YOU....

Hi Wendy,

Karen brought in pictures of you yesterday. What a beauty with no hair! I threatened Marc (Heller) with the secret weapon today and it shut him right up. Do you remember it?
Thoughts of you and your family are with me daily and I keep you in my prayers.

Hi Wendy,I Love you. I believe in God and his powers. I also believe in you. You have always been a fighter for what you wanted. Between your fighting and God's powers you will pull through this. Keep up your fighting. It may be hard at times but with everyone praying and pulling for you, you'll have a very good shot at pulling through this. Your father & I love you very much. I whish I could see you. Hopefully it will be soon. Love Mom
