My goodness how big the girls are getting. Your girls are absolutely beautiful! I am so glad to see that you all are doing so well. Your story always did truly touch my heart Theresa. I can think of no one that deserves more happiness than yourself and I am glad to see that you are getting it. Happy Holidays to you and your family!

I think our Hubeibies are on the big side; Willow is growing like a weed as well, off the Chinese charts and, like Malia, in the 90th percentile for height on the American charts.

Happy and Blessed New Year to the Yamasaki Family. Rec'd and enjoyed your Christmas card, as I always do. Sorry if I missed you with one. Just didn't seem to 'get it all together' this Christmastime and never did finish my
card list. (Do you think AGE might have anything to do with that ?!) But you are still on it and always will be!!
Apologies, and extra Love to the Four of You. Aunt E.

thing is going well with Malia and her new family. (Per-

Michael, Theresa, Anna and Malia:
When MOM and I came to see you, we were both captivated with Malia. We thought we might never see you/her again and had a great remorse for leaving you all. About 10 days after we returned home, we looked up to see Malia standing there. Then Anna came into view. We nearly fainted!! Grandma was speechless. We all celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary together. What a wonderful time we all had - at the place MOM and I had our Wedding Rehersal dinner those 50 years earlier on 11/23/56. We feel most fortunate to have all 4 of you. God bless you all.

entry in your journal, and to learn all the new little won-
erful things Malia is doing.
Anna is making her First Communion in April, as are Anne Marie's triplets. Quadruple Blessings in the family !
Love to you all. Aunt Elaine

As difficult as it is to leave your precious daughters each day, you have bonds with them that go far beyond the physical world. My mother has been deceased for nearly twelve years, and there isn't a day that goes by when I don't hear her words of wisdom in my memory. You and Michael are creating ties with your children that will sustain them for the rest of their lives, whether you are right there in the room with them or parted for a day. Thinking of all of you and hoping that all is well.

Do so enjoy your journal entries. The last one is espec-
ally welcome.....letting us all share in your new life with
Malia.
I just noticed a 'typo' I missed in my last entry re: your
wondrous journey. "woundrous" somehow came out, but then,
I guess there have been lots of minor wounds along the way,
along with the joys. May the joys increase and the wounds
fade away as you continue your new life with Malia.
Love to the Four of You, Aunt Elaine

Dear Muke and Theresa
Congratulations on your adoption of Malia! Your trip to China sounded wonderful and we hope Malia is adjuisting well to life in America. We just returned from the Islands where we spent my mom's final days with her and the family.
She was a wonderful woman who suffered from a stroke the past 12 years, but God used her to bring many blessings and much healing to all of us. We stayed near Punahou School and got to attend Sunday Compline at the Lutheran
Church and prayed for the success of your trip. We attended their 30th annuversary service and Fritz
one of the oldtimers remembers us and sends his aloha. we a
also spent time with Mike and Lorna Sarrazin. Mike and Tessie Amore still play for the Newman Sunday Liturgies. Sr. Katherine Theiler, who ran the Spiritual Life Cntr. passed away a few days before my mom.
May God bless all of you. Me ke aloha pumehana!

Theresa and Michael,
Beverly and I really do 'share your pain'. We understand very well the agony of waiting. At times like this, all I can think of to do is try to imagine what (anxious) thoughts Mary, the mother of Jesus, must have had. If / when you need help, go to her in prayer - she'll understand!!
Love always,
Your very proud big brother,

Hi Theresa: Ditto on moving beyond infertility treatment - it was a great relief to dh and I to have made that decision and found out that we would be able to adopt from China. Happy Trails.

Nice site, and definitely a nice thing that you are doing in adopting from China (because we are, too)! Anna sure is cute, and no doubt is very excited about becoming a big sister soon! Here's to a smooth adoption journey!!!

The great thing about this journey is that you are not alone. Conrad and I are praying for your family. Your motivation is an inspiration to me. I can only imaging how many lives you are going to touch through this process..not to mention the little one who will be blessed by your family.

Theresa- best of luck to you and your family on your adoption journey. As my husband and I are in the midst of our own adoption journey, I can empathize with the roller coaster of emotions. Let's be sure to keep in touch to provide each other support!
