Hey Loftus family
You guys have been quite a busy family since we left NYC. Its been well over a year since we have been to the Big Apple. I can tell you that you guys are missed. Kelly you are amazing to be able to keep up your grades while you are going thru the crap you have been faced with. I know that its basically your way of life now and that you do what you gotta do but I know its tough. I dont know if you knew this or not but Zack had to have a lung transplant and we are now a little over 2 weeks out. He is in the ICU at Boston Childrens.
If you get a chance pop on to Zacks page he would love to hear from you guys.

Hi Kelly. Hi Terese. I was in shock when I read about your surgery. I didn't know the necrosis was so bad. John and I certainly are praying that by now you are on your way to recovery. Nothing with this disease has ever been "speedy" but as long as each day gets better. That's what I pray for. John has avascular necrosis also. His knees and shoulders are the worst. We are supposed to make an appointment with the surgeon but I keep putting it off. I'm more afraid than he is. Please update and let us know you're getting better!!!!

Blessed Father's Day
For Fatherly Guidance

Lord God, author of all wisdom,
Teach me how to do my work as a father according to your will.
Enlighten my mind that I may understand what to tell my children when it is necessary to give them direction or advice.
Give me good judgment to understand true spiritual values and to guide my family in your ways.
The world makes little of your wisdom and is not instructed in your ways, and close contact with the world makes it easy to become dulled to the things of solid spiritual worth.
Be my guide at all times, that I may be a true father and husband, sensitive always to the divine wisdom that only you can impart.
God, by the light of the Holy Spirit you instruct the hearts of your faithful.
Grant that I may be truly wise and ever enjoy his consolation, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Praying for you,

Hope all are well now & were well enough to enjoy Kelly's birthday!

“Love...It bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.”
(1 Corinthians 13:7)

A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.

HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY, KELLY GIRL!!! WOW, I can remember being at Grandma Keynton's house( when you were but a wee tot) and hearing this really WEIRD sound coming from the back of the house. When I asked what it was Grandma said..." OH, that's just Kelly sucking on her fingers!" NO way, could that sound be coming from that little peanut, but sure enough there you were all curled up under you blanket! Weird, how some things stick in your memory like that...also how I always called you Kelly Keynton because you resemble that side of the family sooo much. Just like your cousin Emily, who I sometime call by your name by mistake. ANYWAY...Have a beautiful birthday, you deserve it, and have certainly earned it. WE LOVE YOU LOTS!!

I hope you can stop losing weight, feel good, and as always, STAY OUT OF THE HOSPITAL! Tell Kaity, Kaity, Kaity and Robert and Mom and Dad we said hi. Matthew misses Robert alot. Hi Kelly and Therese: I read your update this morning and felt really bad that Kellys in the hospital again. We're praying and routing really hard that Kelly gets rid of the fever and gets out of there fast! Hopefully you won't have to go to Sloan. I know Sloan hospital stays are long, no one knows that better than John. But they really are the best at what they do, so sometimes we're better off there. Go Away Fever!!!!

Hey Kelly Girl
Hope you find some answers when you visit the clinic tomorrow. Hope you are feeling good and gaining back some weight. Try this...Edys has a new flavor ice cream. It's Girl Scout Samoa cookie flavor! OMG, I have to banish it from our house or I'll eat the whole thing when the kids aren't looking! REALLY, it's that good.
Talk to you soon

Hi Kelly & Therese: John went through the losing too much weight battle, so we know how frustrating it is. He wound up getting a G-tube and it was the best thing. However that doesn't mean you will. Everyone is so different. Things have turned around so much. John had to go back on steroids because of the BOOP (lungs). He has gained so much weight back that now he's trying to lose weight :) He is also feeling the best he's felt in a long time. Just trying to remind you that "this too shall pass" and you'll be out of that hospital in no time. We're certainly praying for that!!! Hang in there.

Hey neighbor! I LOVE the pictures of ST. Badrick!!! We attended the one in Virginia where a 9 year old shaved hair that had been to her elbows in honor of her uncle who died last summer. It was a great turn out down here. Nick showed up for a few minutes, does not like the attention of being introduced, you know Nick! HE had to wear a huge St. Baldricks hat which he quickly took off! We will be back Thursday and sooo glad Kelly girl is back at the house! Loved her St. Patrick colors in the pic! Thanks for checking in with us! See you in a few days...sssh:) Caryn Jim and Nick

Hi Kelly, we keep waiting for an update but decided to send you a message anyway. Sometimes no news is good news and other times not! Please let us know how you're doing; even if it isn't good news, prayers still come in handy and we're trying to "keep you covered". Colorado is in sort of a boring winter slump; minimal snow in the Denver area so everything is brown drab and dismal looking. Trees bare and all in all it should either be winter or spring but not this in between! What's it like in NY? How is 2006 thus far? How is Dr. B treatin' you? Our friend Taylor is out of th POU and hopefully you are still in RMH and not anywhere in MSK. Please update the journal, but know that you are in our prayers. love, the louis family

I also have a step daughter who is 16 and a stepson who is 15. I am married and we live in Wisconsin, just south of Madison. We live in the country. We have 2 little dogs, they are Pekingese, one female and one male. They are going to have some puppies in about 6 weeks. I will send you some pictures when they arrive. Puppies are lovable and cute! :) I see one of your favorite tv shows is Law and Order: SVU, we have that in common, I love that show! I like all the CSI's, Americas Most Wanted and a few others. I also enjoy swimming like you do! We have a pool here, and I swim alot in the summer.
I hope you are doing good. I will keep visiting this web page for updates. You are free to email me or anything else.

Hi Kelly, am wondering what you're up to since the journal has no new entries since Dec 6, and I know how busy a social calendar you tend to keep. So whatsup? Hopefully no news is good news and you've been enjoying a good first week of 2006! What did the RMH do to celebrate the New Years? Did you go to a parade? Anyway, let us know how you're doing - good news and not good news - we still want to keep in touch.

Hi Kelly, hope you had a GOOD Christmas and here's to a fabulous NEW year 2006!!! Since there hasn't been a journal update for a while, we'll take no news as good news. Its only Dec 28 but b/c we have a NY Eve birthday in this family we always have to undo christmas ASAP so that by Dec 31, it's all about Robyn's birhtday!! Has the RMH begun to undo Christmas yet or not? What are the plans for New Years? I don't know if you find the holidays hard, but looking at a new year, it is a time for optimism, hope and expectation for a truly "new year" and that is our prayer for you, for Taylor, for Bailee, for everyone at RMH; that 2006 will be the best of all years! We'll take a crappy year in exchange for a great year for you all. Sooooo, we'll toast you and pray that God blesses you. The louis family
