I just had to share that as I was driving to work the other day......this song came on the radio that I just had to turn up, sing loud to(partially because I love the song myself), but maily because I will never forget Lil Skylar singing it to his Momma !!!!!! Thinking of you guys. As I update Ryan's page I can't help but think how lucky I was to have him for almost 30 years. We became closer than ever during his battle. He was so amazing. Happy Birthday Skylar!! Kelly thinking of you today. Birthdays can be such a hard day but like you noted in your last update the days before always seem harder. This is so true. I noticed that Paxton shares a birthday with Josh. We always celebrate Josh's birthday by delivery toys to Children's. This year we will also think of cute Paxton as he turns one and his Angel brother Sky.

You have been in my thoughts the last few days, especially yesterday!! It is so hard to believe that 4 years have passed. I think of my buddy Skylar Moon often and smile!! Every time I start a nervous patient's port I tell that my nickname is "The Quick Lady" and I chuckle to myself!! When we are done the kid's always say, you are "The Quick Lady" and I chuckle again thinking of how excited Sky would get when he would call me that!! I have so many special memories of him that I hold near to my heart!!
Paxton is such a beautiful young man!! I couldn't be happier for you and I know that Sky is keeping a very close eye on him!!

Just wanted to let you know I've been thinking about you. From Mother's Day, to May 22nd, to Father's Day...it's hard to believe 3 years have gone by ~ it still seems like yesterday.

Dear Sky,
I know you know this since you watch over your mommy every day, but I wanted to tell you that you have the best mommy in the world. Many people would consider your mommy and me friends. I would say they are right, but really we are so much more. I love your mommy and I am thankful that she lets me be a part of her life. Words as usual do not describe just how wonderful your mommy is. When I think of your mommy my heart smiles. No, my heart laughs. When my heart laughs it is a huge roar of a laugh too, not just a little giggle. Now, don’t get me wrong, your mommy and I have shared a few tears as this is what friends are for. But the laughs… the laughs are what I cherish most and the laughs are what I look forward to when we are planning an evening of fun together. Your mommy has a special place in my heart just as you do. I wish I had had the pleasure of meeting you and I wish that I could thank you in person for sharing your mommy with me. I knew I had to check here today for some reason and low and behold its because you updated! (No coincidence) I am in tears feeling your pain, it sucks! It always will and time only removes us further from reality until we sit and think about it and then were back to square one. I too think all the things you do and often get angry for the things were missing out on. School "season" is a hard one, I often look at kids around 10 and try to imagine Cavion that way, wierd! Liking girls and thinking they are too cool to have Mom kiss them would be such an honor...I hope all you Mom's reading this are cherishing every second....Kelly, I don't know what to say except you are not alone, we suffered two different losses in a sense but I am always here to listen, laugh, cry and agree that life is so unfair and try to help in any way I can. The 28th marks three years for us and to say time makes it easier is a life it just gets different I guess...

Yeah football is in full swing at the Holloway's now too and I am not a big fan but like you I enjoy seeing Billy happy even if it means me suffering through a game or two....
As far as having another child as you know we are into our second month of pregnancy and its still sort of unreal and scary. I often find myself telling Cavion that this child is not going to ever take his place and I guess that's more to ensure he knows that but I know he does. It is scary too thinking of what a simple cold will me me panic like and how will I react to being a Mom again....
Life is so unfair and if anyone knows that it is us...

I saw the news story on Angels Among Us online. I loved to see the pictures of Sky and Braeden, even though it made me teary-eyed. I am so glad that I got to meet and care for two such wonderful boys! Keep up the all the hard work to help all of those families. Did you hear that I raised $600 to shave my head, to go towards pediatric cancer research? As you know, tons of people are willing to give to this worthy cause. Besides, it's just hair, it grows back right?!
Anyway, hope you are doing okay. It is always nice to read your updates on Sky's site.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not but I am naming my baby girl's middle name after you. I thought you might like to know even though you don't like babies. Mommy has been so wonderful to me through this pregnancy she is an amazing woman...but you already know that. Adam, This is for you. I saw Kelly with Christy's baby today. I think you need one. There never is a good time (financially anyway) to have a baby. Hey Guys,
I just wanted to stop in and say hello and let you know as always I am thinking of you and hoping each day brings a little more peace in your heart.
This month is hard for us too as Cavion would be turning 9 this week and it's hard not to think of those days/things. I know both Cavion and Sky are proud of us though and that brings a smile to my often sad face. We honor them through our life now and that is awesome that God helps us do the things we do and help those in need that are still in the fight. It is hard to still see these families fight and sometimes join us in the group of "losing a child to cancer" but I truly believe we can offer hope, advice and an ear that they need. I am so happy to know you both I just wish it was under different circumstances. Keep being strong and enjoy your upcoming vacation, you both deserve nothing short of the best!

I am so glad you are leaving the 22d for Yellowstone. To bad you don't have a convertible :-) Clear your head with the fresh air and SKy will be right there with you. I believe I wrote this last year too when you went to yellowstone. Skylar won't miss it for the world - he will be right there with you as always!!!!!!! You know when Nathan had the sword down his back today and you he followed you to the car.... You said Skylar used to stick his swords down the back of his shirt too.... well, soon after Dylan would not tak ethe sword back at all - he said the sword was down Nathan's pants. It wasn't, but, I could see how he would thik that soo... athan has the sword know and all evening, he has been telling me he is a soldier. He asked me again today when Skylar would be back down from Heaven --- wanted him to go back to your house. I told him that is what you want most too. Thinking of you all (as always) and have a wonderful trip..

Except I could not find a card, from a child who lives in heaven.... She is still a mother too, no matter where I reside I had to leave, she understands, but oh the tears she’s cried... I thought that if I wrote you, that you would come to know... That though I live in heaven now, I still love my mother so... She talks with me, and dreams with me; we still share laughter too,.. Memories our way of speaking now, would you see what you could do?... My mother carries me in her heart, her tears she hides from sight... She writes poems to honor me, sometimes far into the night.. My heart hurts knowing how badly your pain is. I too feel this terrible emptiness and wish I could somehow take away your pain. Losing a child (especially your only) is something no one should ever endure. I think of you and Adam often, and pray you are still doing okay. It has been 1 1/2 years since Cavion earned his angel wings and still some days I find it very difficult to smile. Knowing our sons are now pain free gets me through the tougher times. Angel Haley's family
This Valentine is not of the ordinary kind,
Its still filled with love…and blessing inside;
But mine has to be sent on the wings of love…
You see its destination is the Heavens above.
It’s not being sent to my parents so dear,
For they are still with me each day of the year;
It’s being sent to my child…, who left earth so soon,
Who’s now in Heaven with the stars and the moon.
The message is the same as your Valentine,

My love is still deeper than the ocean is blue,
And it’s sent with hugs and kisses…from me to you.”

Sent to bereaved parents from the Heavens above.”

I was driving home last night and I saw the cresent moon and I couldn't help but think about Skylar and smile. I was just thinking the other day how I used to play tag with Skylar and chase him around and around the hallways of your house. He was so quick that it took some effort to catch up to him :) If I haven't said it before, thank you so very much for being my friend and letting me share so many moments with Skylar. I will treasure them always. Lots and lots of love to you.

We got to know Skylar thru Tanner Lusk's webpage. My family fell in love with him thereafter. I'm sad to say that we never got to meet your little angel but he has touched so many hearts that everyone that I know sees him as an angel. We will always continue to have you and your love ones in our prayers including your father which I know Skylar is already looking over him. I wish you great blessing this new upcoming year and God Bless you. You have also touched so many lives with your strength,courage,and faith. You are truly a remarkable women. Once again God Bless..

Kelly, it is always good to read your updates. So sorry to hear about your father being sick, I will keep him in my prayers. Glad to hear you made it through Christmas and New Years ok. I always remember when Skylar was at Children's and he would always ask for "squirt guns" And we would get our "squirt guns" out and chase all the nurses around the floor. They would get so "mad" when they got wet. We had so much fun with him. Miss seeing you guys. Stay Strong and tell Adam and your family that we still think of you often.

Kelly Thanks for the update, I am sure it is less than easy to do. Please know that your Father will be added to my thoughts and prayers. What a beautiful gift Skylar gave you when you heard his song! I always think of him when I hear Celine Dion because of the cd that would play in his room! I hope that this year brings you happy memories and happy moments to create new memories too! You and Adam deserve all the happiness in the world!
