Torysorous, your adventure continues. Beth and I made a trip back to your eastern areas on the 20th of August. We had somewhat of a challenge but we did find the Rocky Point, along the way we saw deer and gathered Eagle feathers. We placed a DUCK cup with roses along with one of your memory folders to mark our place for you. Beth placed a heart shape rock she brought from her garden at her home. We made it back to the car. Next we parked for the Cultus River trail. we did fine at first and then our adventure began, after much over and under downed trees we found the correct area, How beautiful it is and to share it with Beth made it even more special we again placed a OREGON DUCK cup with roses and a memory folder. I am sure you do enjoy all our confusion but we did persevere.

Hello Torysorous, Grandma here! I realize that it has been some time since I wrote on your page, but we both know we have been communicating regularly. I will be leaving Tuesday to go back to Grand Forks. I will be attending the Make a Wish fund rasing event. I know you will be there with us in spirit. Tara is coming up with daughter Khloe'.
This will be the first time we have all been together. Khloe' was three in December. I remember the first time I met you in person you were almost three, and boy did you steal everyones heart. I will be taking back and placing on your wall your 16th birthday remembrance. I know you and your dad and mom will like them. I am healing well from my neck fusion, so I have been able to do all sorts of things in the yard. My flowers are beautiful, reminds me of when you were last here with your Dad. Hello Torysorous, I have been missing you terribly. I want to thank you for helping me pick out the pretty pink sherpa coat for Khloe' for Christmas. I very much felt your spirit with me. I also know you were with me in spirit the afternoon I took Anthony age 14, Alana age 10, Anna age 8, and Lilly age 4 and their mother Mary to see the Nutcracker Ballet. It was something I always wanted to do with you, so in memory of your life I chose to share it with other children. It is not getting any easier to have you in heaven. Hello Torysorous. Tonight was the graduation of your 8th grade class. I know you were in the hearts of so many of them and people from your school. I had challanged your class mates to do all they could and then a little bit more, because they were having an opportuniy that you were not able to. I wanted to say how much we appreciated the Vinson's friendship while both of our families fought battles. Even more so, I want to say is thank you to Tory. Upon hearing that she entered into Heaven, one she believed so strongly in, I asked her to go to my Grandma Bonnie and tell her that it wasn't scary and to show her the way. Five days after Tory's passing, Grandma Bonnie went peacefully as well. Thank you Tory for helping Grandma Bonnie. I know you were there. I love and miss you both!! A few days ago, I had the worst possible day at school. I came home, I was upset, grumpy and just was mad at everyone and everything. Tory I will NEVER forget you. Today in school we had a celbration for Tory's Life and me and Lindsey cried our eyes out. Hello Tory,
Abby and April were gonna come and see you last week, but Abby had a cold.
They were in South Dakota to see their Grandparents and they want to come and tell you about all the things they did in the badlands.

They got a taste of "Mini Sturgis" in Hill City,(I hope they don't wanna go see the real thing!)... That was amazing! They blocked off main street to cars and trucks, and there were motorcycles as far as the eye could see, parked up and down the historical looking shops on mainstreet, there was a even a row parked right down the middle of the street... THOUSANDS of bikers... it was VERY loud!!!

They stopped at every gift shop we passed, trying to find your name among all the personalized gifts, but NO! All of them had Tory, but it was spelled with an "I", not a "Y"... I get the same luck, my name is alway's spelled with an "H"... I know alot of Teresa's(including your mom) and not a one of them spells their name with an "H"!!!! But someone does, because they keep selling the Teresa's with an "H"!!!! UGGG (Drives me up a wall!)

The girls can't wait to get over to see you, it will be soon, as Abby has gotten over her cold. They have gifts for you from South Dakota!

Hi Tory....Again, I am Jason Stadstad's gramma....We are all praying for you to continue healing. Jason is doing fine after his first clinical trial study at Washington, DC. He goes back August 17th for MRI's for assessment. Prayerfully, the reports will be good. He was at the GF car races last night...today and tomorrow he and his family are at Elk Horn Resort at their lake place. Jason continues to go on with life and to make every day a special day. Tory: I just read the newsbrief your dad wrote on this website. I had called earlier this morning from Emerado school to see if I could stop at your home to see you and say "hi". After reading the information, that will have to be postponed for awhile. I was just tickled to hear how much fun you had at Disney World!! By the way, Mrs. C. and Mrs. Waters from school also said to say "Hi"! At any rate, I hope you are feeling a bit better after your transfusion. You are in my thoughts, and I am hoping to at least have a chance to get you sitting on the small therapy ball again soon!!!! (you lucky girl!!!). (You will notice I didn't say "doing pushups on the ball!!!!)

Now that I know your website, I can at least write to you. Tomorrow I am going to visit my mother in Minnesota and take her to a few appointments. She is a really independent 81-year old woman, but does need someone to drive in the city, sooo I will be her chaufeur for a few days!

Hey Sunshine!!! Glad to see everything went well for you. You had fun at the mall eh? I loved it when we went there too. I couldn't get over some of the stores they had. There seemed to be a specialty store for everything. Jared enjoyed the magic store the best and even Legoland.

It was so wonderful to finally meet you guys at Merit Care Clinc on Tuesday. Brittany has had Tory in her prayers every night. She has quite a list of kids (cancer buddies as she calls them) in her prayers every night. The only sad part is that the list keeps growing. But the wonderful part is that the prayers are working. Tory, you are a beautiful young lady. You have such a wonderful personality and you brighten the room when you are in it. Keep your faith and keep up the positive attitude. You have come a long way sweetheart and you will kick cancer's butt too. When things settle down a bit for you guys, we would really like to visit with you again. Only a few more weeks of radiation therapy, so good to hear. I pray for you & your Mom & Dad every day. Three together strengthen each other.
We went to a plant sale in Mississippi on Saturday. I bought lavender verbena plants and some African daisies that were sort of maroonish/purple/magenta color. I put them right at the back door so I can see them every time I go outside. (Something nice to see as I carry out the garbage can!) The weekend was warm and sunny, but a cool front came in yesterday, so we're back to cloudy and rainy.
That's good too, though.

Tory, I work for a hotel that is the host of the Iditarod Dog Race from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska. They have a website that I thought you would like to follow. It is www.iditarod.com. Go to the site of "teacher on the trail" and "teacher and students" and follow the race. The race starts this Saturday at 10AM in downtown Anchorage. I am waiting for the mushers to break from their meeting today so that all of the employees can toast them with champagne to wish them a safe journey. I so hope you are feeling better.

This is Dee again. (Jessie's aunt) I have visited your web site and read about your daily activities everyday since we left the hospital with Jessie. Tory, you are making great progress! We spent Saturday with Jessie and she was excited that she had finally met you, Tory, at therapy. It's Tuesday evening (March 2nd). Jessie, Roxanna, Barry & I will be at the hospital tomorrow (Wed. March 3rd). Dr. Thomas is putting a shunt in Jessie. The surgery is in the morning (March 3rd), and I think we will be there most of the day. Jessie will probably stay overnight. I'm hoping we can see all of you somehow - maybe at the hospital if you are there for therapy, or maybe we can stop by the RM house. I will call the RM house sometime tomorrow and try to connect. I just wanted you to know we would be there, so you could keep your eyes open for us. We became "hospital family" for a few weeks, and I so want to keep in touch. In fact, I am hoping we could share a weekend at our lake sometime this summer when Tory and Jessie are both feeling much better. (swimming, fishing, boating, turtle hunting, campfire, whatever you feel like doing... just plain fun, etc.) Our love and prayers are with you. Barry and I think of all of you everyday! Love, Dee

I'm sorry that we haven't been able to get there to see you, but we have had some bad car problems. I just got my car back and waiting on Taras to be fix. As soon as some money comes in and we get Taras back so I can have my car back we might be able to see you. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that we are thinking of you along with your mom, dad and Grandma Shirley. I know how it is in the hospital, I was in the hospital for a whole month one time years ago and boy did I ever get sick of it. Everyday for 30 days I had one test after another, but you know the medical staff is only trying to help you get better, so hang in there, ok? Well I have alot of homework, everyday they add more each day. We love you and I'm praying for you as I do believe in miracles.

Hi Teresa & Tory, The benefit dinner went WONDERFUL! So many caring people came out and helped with the dinner along with hundreds of hungry people to eat it! Your school has tremendous support coming your way. They all miss you and want you to return to them ASAP!!! It was awesome to see the look on your dad's face when he saw all the people...and of course, he didn't have time to eat as he had to "converse", ha! Tori, my name is Dee. (Auntie Dee) I met you in the cafeteria the Sunday night before your surgery. It only took a minute to know what a SPECIAL girl you are. I wish we lived in the same town, so I could be lucky enough to have you in my 6th grade class which is the grade I teach. I know I would LOVE having you for a student. You have a spark and a fun personality. Your COURAGE makes you a HERO in my eyes. Tory, my family and I will pray for you and your family everyday. And I hope we can keep in touch.
Jessie was discharged last night, but we will be here for her therapy, so maybe we can get to see each other once in a while. I left a message with the nurse to say goodbye until I could see you in person. All of you have become our "hospital FAMILY" and we are so thankful for each of you. I called your mom, Teresa, this morning, and we hope to connect later today. Maybe there is still a chance YOU and Jessie can actually meet.
