Happy New Year Davis Family
Hope you had a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. For the Hammonds' Family we had a little damper on Christmas Day since Damien was still in the hospital. He came home the following week and boy was he full of energy. Maybe we should have slept Christmas Day to be ready for him and Dylan. Can we say the Hammonds Boys were on the prowl? Kai we hope you contiune to get stronger and be blessed with the rest of your protocol. Damien has to go back to Chapel Hill in the morning for test and then radiation starting on the 9th. We were recently up at UNC for testing on our daughter and met. After reading your story and thinking a lot about you, Kai, I thought of a favorite bible verse Psalm 46. I usually read it to my Ky during her hospital stays. We have nothing compared to the heartache and frustration that you have and I can't put into words what I wish I could say to you. To the Davis family; words can not describe my heart felt sadness for what you all are going through (I can relate a little), but I'll try any way to express my desire that you all come through this with Kia's recovery. Hi Kai, I'm so glad to hear (and expected to hear) that you are fighting through this difficult time even though it often means fighting mommy and daddy (smile). Your strength is ridiculous for your age and so encouraging to grown folks like myself who are trying to learn from it! Praise God that Kai's transplant has taken place! It has been a long journey for you to get to this point and it has happened. Hallelujah! I just wanted to tell you that I continue to think of you and your family. I would stop by the Bone Marrow unit but I would have to bring Brenna and even though neither one of us is sick (if we were she would be back in the hospital) I don't want to risk bringing a bug in with us. I take from your note in Jared's guest book that you may be at CHOP doing MIBG the middle of November. You will have to let me know. We are going to CHOP on NOvember 15 and 16. Would love to link up and introduce ourselves if that is possible. Do you currently go to CHOP for any treatment? Who is your doctor? We have Dr.Grupp. Who we love but all of the oncs at CHOP we met are great.
I will keep Kai in my thoughts and prayers that all goes well from here on out.

Hi Kai, this is Katrina. You probably dont remember me but my mom and I met you and your family at U.N.C. I just had to sign your guestbook because I want you to know you really have an impact on me. I love you so much yet I barely know you. I want you to know I fasted for you and prayed for you and bring your name to the alter each time I go to church and I will continue to do so. I not only pray for you but also your mom and dad and you sister. I know how hard it was on my family when I was in the hospital so I pray that God strengthens them just as much as he strengthens you. I dont want to be lengthy so as I close this out I just want to ensure you that you are in my prayers when I wake up and before I go to bed. I just want to share with you one of my favorite scriptures also.
Psalm 116: 8-11 "For You Oh Lord have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living. I believed, therefore, I said I am greatly afflicted. In my dismay I said all men are liars."
You may not understand it just yet but in my mind I think of this scripture as The Lord will give you life, take away your pain, and make you whole so that you may tell of his goodness. If you have faith and believe that God will answer your prayers, you will amaze the doctors and show them what God can do! I love you, God bless you,

Hi Kai! This is your neighbor down the hall from you, Christian. How are you feeling today? I am doing fine. Kai this is Christian's mother, Michelle and I just wanted to encourage you and your family to continue to trust God! It has been our faith in God that has brought us this far. I really believe that everyone you meet, you meet for a reason. The road that you are about to take, Christian has just come from down the same road. Sometimes the road seemed very long, very dark, and very lonely, BUT GOD! We are still prayering for you Kai. Damien is doing good he was suppose to be up there this week. However, his platlet count was down and they wanted his kidneys to try to repair themselves. He is scheduled to go in next Tuesday and they are running his bone marrow test and checking his kidneys. So let pray that his kidneys are healed and that his bone morrow is free of cancer. Remember that the Lord keeps watch over his little children, remeber that because that is what the devil want you to forget.

After his 5th round of chemo if the tumor has shrunk they are planning on removing the tumor and if the cancer is out of his bones, they plan on doing the transplant. This is your Aunt Rochelle and Uncle Ron. What a sweet boy you are and we know that God has big plans for you as well as your sister Jasmine. We don't get to see you very often but we are always praying for you and so many other people here in upstate SC that don't even know you. Father God we pray right now in Jesus name that the blood of Jesus would cover that household and that the life of God would continue to bring abundant life and healing to Kai's life. Also we pray for peace and rest in this household and protection and divine health also for Ven, Rashana, and Jasmine. We come against the spirit of fear in Jesus name that would try to take hold and derail all that You have started here and we say to satan, the Lord rebuke you. What can we say! The Briscoe and Davis families are as close as close can be. We've weathered many storms and laughed many times in each other's presence. We were there the first day Kai was born and have watched him grow. Every time we think of him or pray for him we are reminded to hold fast the faith of the Shunemmite woman who refused doubt, believing that the gift God had given her was His to keep...we know the glorious rest! You never have to ask us to pray because you know we've got your back and all our love is yours!
