Hello my name is Katherine Upcroft, I have just read your story, my little boy Mitchell born 13 July 1997 was also diagnosed with neuroblastoma stage 4, Mitchell lost his battle 30 July 2001, before Mitchell passed away I asked him to send me a rainbow to let me know he was pain free and happy, he did, I lived in Sydney, our view was overlooking Sydney harbour, Mitchell's rainbow put our city in a bubble of colour, Mitchell also loved Buzz light year and was given a large balloon of buzz for his last birthday on earth, he would stare at it for hours, after Mitchell passed the balloon came to life and started walking, I know this sounds bizarre, I ended up saying, Mitchell thank you we know you are now happy, time to go back to heaven, the balloon then deflated, I just want to reassure you there is a better place for our angels, It is now coming up 7 years and there is not a day or night that I haven't thought of Mitchell, the key for me is to keep busy, I have involved myself in research for Neuroblastoma, last year Mitchell help raise $600,000-00 for research.

They always come at just the right times - I've found so many right outside Seattle Children's Hospital right before going in for tests, etc.

Cheryl said you were having a hard time. I know you feel so all alone. She said he was going to have to spend the night in the hospital tonight to see what is going on and see if they can figure out the pain he is having. We are praying for things to work out soon. Hi Justin and Christie , I know you do not know me , but I was with some friends in a Harley Davidson shop Sunday and picked up the flyer about a motorcycle race they are having for you. I am a born again Christian from Lincolnton and am a member of Covenant Bible Church . I also attend a church down in Charlotte N.C. on Sunday nights when my Church is not having service. It is Grace Christian Center , which is called the Miracle and Healing Church , because they have prayed for people all over the place and have had some wonderful healings take place , from Cancer and all sorts of things . One boy the church in Charlotte prayed for is from Princeton West Virginia , and he had the same thing you do . His parents had heard of the church and brought him down to have him annointed and prayed for . I contacted your Aunt Sandy and told her the info, and my phone number , and she said she would give your parents the info . I would love to meet you and your Parents some day . Hope you get to come home soon . With all the prayers for you I know you will get to be home soon . I am good with Children and like children , and kids like me too , I even help out with our Chidrens ministry at Covenant in Lincolnton sometimes , going to Camp with the Children in June for the First time , which was fun. I am and will keep you in my prayers to get a complete healing from God , then you will feel like running jumping and playing and being a healthy kid again.God bless you and your parents and keep me up to date on your progress . Good Afternoon! I wish we could be there to join with you as you go through your "tough" times but it sounds as though you have good support. I am constantly getting updates from Gary but this is much better! Jill called me and told me that Brandon was getting the "Terrific Kid Award" How neat!
I don't know if you've heard yet or not, but today I spent the entire day running the route for Justin's Poker Run On October 23, 2004. We've dropped flyers off to the stops and got full approval! One butt hole backed out because he couldn't be the last stop so beleive you me, he'll be blackballed from ALL of the fund raisers we do from now on. Last week the Poker run we raised 3,100.00 for the Coalition against Child Abuse in Lincoln County. I hope we do that well and better for Justin. We've got the Shriners involved and today we went to a bike rally just so we could pass out flyers.
I got a call today from Exit 36 Bar & Grill letting me know that Jim, the owner of "Riley's" would like to participate in the run...So now that we have everyone's attention, we might just do two runs before Winter.
Chris, Christy, Justin and Brandon, please know that we love you all, we aren't there with you but FOR SURE we are there in our heart and mind.
