Hi Deanna and Family,
I have thought of all of you at many different times and at many different occasions so I just wanted you to know that. I have been continuing to pray for your family. I just happened to check caring bridge wondering if there were any answers to the many questions you had regarding Luke's death. I was able to read the information provided there regarding that subject. I also read Linda's entry just before mine and saw that she had put into words exactly what I was thinking of and did it so eloquently so I will just ditto that! Your family has had so much courage and strength and I want to you know that I will continue to pray for you and your family for that continued strength always. Happy Mother's Day!!!
Love, Lisa Bramm

You may not know exactly how Luke died--and you may question why he had to die. But I know one thing--he was here briefly to show us all the absolute value of every human life. Thank you for doing everything reasonable to treat his condition. You are a powerful example to me that life is to be valued regardless of the external circumstances that may seem to cloud that reality. You told me at the funeral that you could have done "no less" than you did. The reality is that you could, indeed, have done less--but you courageously chose to do "more" and in doing so you gave us all an example of the absolute value of life. All life. Thank you and God's peace as you continue to grieve and question. God will provide answers to those who keep asking.

Lil' Luke will always be in our hearts. One of God's most precious blessings. A little life with such a powerful
message, the value and fragility of life. Never too be
taken for granted.

Steve, Deanna, Matt and Lauren, Our hearts are so heavy with the grief and pain of losing baby Luke. Added to the loss of your mom, it is almost uncomprehensible. God's plan is not ours to question. After the release of the doves in your moms name and Lukes name at your moms service I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are together. What comfort to know that Luke entered the Kingdom of Heaven in the arms of his grandma who loved him so much. We know, too, that Jesus Christ has prepared a place for us as well in His mansion and they will all be awaiting us. That is blessed assurance! Wish I could be there to hold you close to my heart. We will all be thinking of your family tomorrow and asking the Lord to give you comfort and peace. Love you.

Steve, Deanna, Matt & Lauren,
I know anything I say couldn't come close to taking your pain away... but just know that all of us loved Luke in a very special way because he was such a beautiful & special little boy. I know he is in heaven right now sitting on Grandma Darlene's lap. And it won't be long until Grandpa Jim teaches him how to go bowling in the clouds & Great Grandpa Ray might even trick him into "Eating an acorn or two cuz the squirrels like them so they must taste pretty good!" I only got to spend a few short hours with my adorable nephew & I fell in love with him the first minute I saw him! We all loved him very much & we all love you all very much too. Lots of love & hugs to all of you tonight! Janine, Curt, Sarah, Becca & Hannah :o)_

I was so glad when Jamie Schlough just e-mailed me the address, but was saddened to read that Luke is not doing well. Please know that he and you are in my prayers. My children also attend St. Stephens School and had mentioned the blue ribbons in Luke's honor. Hi Deanna and Steve, Thank you for registering your little boy on this web-site. I will pass it along to Joan and Father Blume, I know that they will want to know about Luke's condition. God Bless you all, Jamie

I'm glad you were able to use the CaringBridge web site to keep us updated on Luke. Hopefully Luke's weight gain will be the turning point. My family will be praying for your family to have a great year and for Luke to get completely healthy!
