I was so glad to be talking to Cheryl a while back and she told me the news of the new addition to the family. At the end of last year I said to you I hope this year you are Bless little did I know what was around the corner.So I was so happy to hear that your little girl arrived safe and well. Almost two years have passed and I still miss our Angel Dakota. She would be very proud of her little brother Zayde (he keeps Mum and Dad pretty active) and now she has sent them a another little girl due to arrive in January. Our hearts and our love go out to Madonna, Trent, Zayde, Rose Graeme, Rick and Renee.

A card of love for my mother,
as this day for her is hard.
There must be some mistake I thought,

Except I could not find a card,
from a child who lives in Heaven.

I stumbled across Dakota's website just tonight.

I went to a website looking for some information about babysitting, and noticed a lady who has a little girl fighting Neuroblastoma - I clicked on her link and I saw Dakota's page (on today of all days ...).

I just wanted to let you know that I think about her often, especially over the last couple of weeks. I hope that you had a great Christmas and that Zayde is doing well.

My thoughts are with you always and I hope you're doing okay.

Just wanted to wish you all a happy and safe Christmas.
I know this year has been one of the worst years that your family has had. Loosing Dakota then Sue and then Harold all in the space of 10 months is terrible.
But I know that each of them would want you to celebrate christmas as you would of if they were here.
Dakota and Sue taught us that life was special and to live it to the fullest.
I brought 2 Childrens Hospital Christmas balls this year for my tree one has Dakota's name on it and the other has her mate Jacob.
We will be thinking of you all on Christmas Day and we know that all our loved ones who are no longer with us will be watching over us.

Just had a few moments to read my caringbridge site created for Dominic and had to read yours. What a beautiful gift to see a butterfly form after releasing the balloons. My that memory give you an abundent amount of joy knowing that Dakota is free from her illness.

I have been visiting Dakota Rose's site for about 2 months. I have never sighned the guest book for lack of words I guess. I just felt the need tonight after putting my 8 children to bed to visit the site again and see her sweet smile. What a beautiful little girl and I am so sorry for your loss. I came across a poem tonight and wanted to share it. May GOD put his healing hand on you during this difficult time.

I'll lend you for a little time-
a child of Mine, He said,
For you to love the while she lives
and mourn for when she's dead.
It could be six or seven years
or maybe two or three
But will you, till I call her back,
take care of her for me?

Wonderful news! So glad everyone is doing well. I must admit my husband and I said we would never complain about anything Matthew does in life as long as we have him. Well, the mind is willing but the flesh is weak. We, too, get cranky every now and then when he doesn't want to get to be or wakes up every 20 minutes. We are exhausted at times but in retrospect we wouldn't have it any other way. I'm sure Dominic is watching us from heaven and giving his mom and dad patience!

It certainly sounds like you have had a very rough time but you are almost through this. I guess it is easy for us to say to you guys to take it one day at a time one hour at a time if need be, but things will get better, you will get through this and there will be no stopping Dakota from dealing with anything that comes her way in the future as she has dealt with the worst that life can throw at her and she has proved that no matter what she will take it head on and win. It is good to know that Madonna is keeping a scrap book of everything that has gone on, it will show Dakota how strong she really is. We have you in our thoughts and prayers.

Hi there guys, just checking in on the latest. Madonna and Trent, Paul and I know exactly what you are going through, i know how rough it can be when all you can hope for is medical marvels. We sat by Montana's crib in hospital for 4 straight months not knowing what the next day would bring - one day it would be great, the next day two steps back, but after all the medical treatment was done, all we could was bring her home and hope for the best - and now she is fine. One of the worst days was having to go back to the hospital and giving her back to them for her operation, not knowing if she was alergic to the anasthesia and hoping things weren't worse when they opened her up, but we were there when she woke up and she recovered well. The doctors are still mystified by some things with Montana and want to do more tests all the time, she too has another hearing test in August as does Teearna because of her problems from being born premmie as well but we always remain positive and accept whatever happens and just try to deal with it the best way possible. Most people don't know that Paul was deaf and only had 20% hearing so I know what its like to live with someone who is deaf - it can be quite sad at times (as well as frustrating), he had an operation for that and can hear better, though sometimes I wish he didn't and I think he sometimes wishes he couldn't hear anymore either! Anyway what I am trying to say is that we do understand exactly what you must be going through and I know it is very very hard - and you deal with it however you can, but know we are always there for you, Rose, Graham and the family. We will all be praying for Dakota on 8th and 15th and wish everything goes well for you. Lots of love, Paul, Tracy, Montana and Teearna.
