I can not belive that I have waited this long to contact you. I think that for the past few years I have tried to distance myself from other stories of liver disease. It is really hard to hear about other sick kids even when there are good stories with good endings. I am hoping that you remember us. My name is Angie Baird and my son is Jace. He was born 9/17/05 and at 4wks was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia. So far we have been very lucky to "dodge" having to have a liver transplant but it is on our minds every day. I would really love to get more involved with supporting other families. It sounds like you have all been quite the support system for many friends! Oh My Gosh...Carson has really grown up from the little baby I sent the Beanie baby to * HUGE SMILE*! You "ALL" are always in my prayers.
My 9 yr. old daughter "Katie" is still going to Devos Childrens Hospital in Grand Rapids for Colon Problems. The Renucci House has been soooooo Good to us. I gave them and the Ronald MC Donald house Over 400 TY Beanie Babies, and nothing compares to seeing a Child's face light up...if only for a few moments before Surgery or while staying at the "House"! I wish I could Hug each Family.

I remember that day 6 years ago on December 30, as we were in Cyrus, MN with The Maanums, when your mom called Jody to tell her of the wonderful news of your upcoming transplant. Jody said "I have to go to the cities, right now". and off she went to spend that time with your family waiting for you to come out of surgery. Carson, you have come full circle and it is all a miracle of God, your doctors, nurses and your mom, dad and family and your will to make it in this tough little world, that makes you such a strong little boy. After 6 years my family and I are still with you guys. Praying and thanking God for Miracles. My 9 yr. old Katie had to go to a Grand Rapids Children's Hospital for Colon problems. By the grace of God they found no Cancer, but they can not figure out why she still bleeds. Also don't think it strange that "poop" might be a daily topic in your household. I have a 3rd cousin who spent allot of down down there. He had open heart surgery in 2001 , then a liver transplant and then another open heart surgery. He is only 5 but is now in the 1st grade. He too had a Caring Bridge website. I looked today and he has been visited 115,421 times. Can you beat that. His name is Carson Kitch. I bet if you ask around someone will remember him.
I notified all 3 girls. I see Susan has already written. Kenny called to see if what he heard about you was true. Mike wonders if you remember the interview you did on him when he was moving his Tarentaise cattle to Alaska. I said,"Of course Bobbi remembers."

We were glad to have breakfast with your Mom last Wed. in Bismarck. She filled us in on all that she knew at the time.
I have been baking buns and have a kettle of Vegetable Beef soup brewing on the stove. My house smells good.

Our prayers are with you Bobbi. You are one of the biggest fighters I know. You will beat this with flying colors.

It seems like yesterday that I sent my first little man to Kindergarden and now he is already 12 years old and in Middle School. Time goes so fast and now Carson is no longer a little boy but a little man who has gone thru so much. What a great blessing he is. He brings a reminder of hope for all who know him. OK, Carson, you and I are going to make a deal! You get those lab reports back in order and I say that it's OK for you to wiggle around on the bus a little bit. Not too much; you have to stay safe -- but just enough to get rid of a little energy. Tell your driver (and Mom and Dad) that it's a deal you made with Auntie Diane. A lost tooth, too!! That's not supposed to happen until you are 6. It sneaked up on me. I LOVE all your first day kindergarten photos. I sure wish my grandson would cooperate for photos like that. I agree with Angie (previous message). When I saw that photo with sunglasses, I said to Paul, "If that isn't another little Christopher!" I saw him in you the very first time that I saw you when you were a little baby.... and I still do. Get those labs in order quickly.
