Brent,
You don't know me but I pray and check in to see how you are doing from time to time. I am a friend of Matt and Jenny Wilson. I am sorry March was tough. You are in my prayers. You have no idea how you inspire those around you. I know you have inspired me to take in each moment in this life God has given us. I look forward to hearing all the wonderful things you are able to do with your family as you heal and grow stronger. I will be praying that this year is a year of health and healing.

Hey Carlsons--
I'm sure you are as disappointed as anyone with the latest challenge. Still know after all these years we are constantly praying for you.
I work in Rochester frequently, please let me know if you need anything! My friend who was just diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma is also at St. Mary's.
Just FYI, there is Healing Room in Rochester through a church called Destiny (previously called Mt Zion). The phone number is 507-281-3536 if you're interested. Brian Fenimore frequently comes to my church in La Crosse for healing nights--this is his church.
Hold fast!

Brent, Heather and Madeline,

I too was discouraged to check in today. I was hoping that no news was good news, but unfortunately that was not the case. We are thankful that at least in the post you seem to capture the good points of these last several weeks despite this setback. We'll pray that Brent will start feeling better soon and that the doctors will be able to identify the allergic reaction and appropriate treatment.

Yes, Brent is in the hospital at St. Mary's in Rochester. He is struggling with GVH, yet again. His GVH skin rash appears to be reoccuring, and he is struggling with the five year battle with his disease. He is extremely discouraged, and He needs prayer more now than ever.

Brent,
Sorry you're back under the weather again. We've been so busy moving in, and I've been traveling a lot from coast to coast (Philadelphia to Spokane)and so haven't kept up with what going on like I should.

Think spring and the golf game we still haven't gotten in. And, just 2 more days to hump day - shortest daylight day of the year - and then it's headed back toward the golf season again.

I'm praying that God will " . . . bear you up on eagles wings . . ."

Blessings, my friend . . .

I wish we lived closer so we could stop in and see all of you this week. Know that we care and are praying for God's will in all things. He alone has the answers - and we have to trust that He knows what He is doing, even though none of us can understand it. Imagine going through life's joys and trials without Him....

Love and hugs to all of you, especially your sweet little

Brent,
A guest speaker at our church recently said, "No event occurs in our world which does not pass by the hand of God and which He does not use to build His church. God uses the events of our world to cause people to know they need to look for him."

I have begun to personalize this lately: No event occurs in my life which does not pass by the hand of God and which He does not use to build me in my faith and cause me to look for him.

There is nothing I've gone through that even compares to your struggles. I get discouraged sometimes about just having to clean my house "one more time;" your willingness to fight this fight has been an amazing testimony of both your strength and your faith. Our prayer for you this day is that God would continue to grant you an amazing dose of both. And always, that He would grant a miraculous healing.

We wish you and your beautiful family a blessed thanksgiving.

Greetings Carlsons! Tho I have not seen you all for a long time, know that your are thought of often. While I don't know what all your joy's and struggles are, I hope this can
help and I will try to keep it short. When my dad was in the hospital dying 10 yrs ago, I was not always trusting God and able to see his plan in the middle of all my sorrow. However he blessed me with a miracle- no my dad still passed away but it ended to be even a bigger miracle...Any way- God blessed me early one friday am while I was awake and upset and not in a good frame of mind by 'speaking"to me-seemed audible-His message-"WHO DO YOU THINK IS IS CONTROL HERE, NOW SIT BACK AND WATCH WHAT I
CAN DO"-it got my attention!! While I dont share this alot
I felt I should share it with you as a reminder that WE are not in control of our lives and we need to rest in
God and let him be God in our lives. Yes I have to remind myself of this often as I keep wanting the control and forget to rest and let Him do His thing in my life. Oh-the miracle for me was that as a result of God and my uncle Bob
my dad is in heaven today- the best miracle!
Blessings to you all

Hello Everyone.... This is Brent's mother speaking. No news does not necessarily mean good news. Brent continues to battle recovery issues. His medications need adjustment/refinement to allow him to have the "energy" to live a "normal" life without the negative side effects of the medications. Brent, Heather, and Madeline need your prayers now more than ever to help them to deal with the psychological, emotional, and spiritual trauma they have jointly and individually experienced these last almost five years. Pray that God will touch them as they seek his will in their lives. Thank you.

We love you deeply, miss you much, and sure hope to see you soon - though I am not yet sure when! XXX000 - Thank you again for sharing your journey with us and your wonderful pictures! Oh fun, I'm so happy you got to go to the zoo! Funny, I was just thinking that would have been a great thing to do with yesterday's weather.

Thanks for the update. It is good to hear how life has been for you lately. Glad you are able to recognize the positives even when things still look uncertain. Those positives are huge steps in this long journey and we celebrate them with you. Love and Prayers.

We just caught up on what has been going on, and looked at the pictures. You guys are troopers and no doubt a huge testimony to many. We are praying for you. Madeline couldn't be any more precious - what a beauty!

Sounds like you've been successful in giving up illness for Lent! CONGRATS!!!! ;-p

Actually, no news is truly incredible. As I visit the site and see no new posts, I take the "cup is half full" approach and take heart on your behalf. Keep up the momentum and I look forward to future visits with no new data!

Tiffany shared your CB site with me. Loved the photo album. Madeline is too cute for words.

You are in my prayers today b/c I am preparing a devotion for my Community Bible Study Leader's council on faith. We are studying Hebrews and I am going to share some of our infertility story next week. Hebrews 11 will be my scripture reference. You remain in my prayers.

Hi Carlson Family, Here you are 3 months out from hip surgery. It must be feeling pretty good by now. After 4 years of a colossal rollercoaster ride things seem like they are settling down to normal. But oh my, it must feel pretty foreign to you. This is another adjustment to handle. God has been faithful to you through all of this and he'll be there now with you day by day and in the decisions you have to make for your future.

Brent,
I am sorry to hear about your ongoing challenges. But that's pretty good news that returning to work may be a possibility in the near future and that overall you are feeling better than before. I hope to see you all soon.

Hi Brent, Heather & Madeline,
I'm hoping (and assuming) that no news is good news ... I was so happy to hear you ditched the crutches! What a great change that must be! Brent, things have been pretty busy at North American ... Lori and I are both there a lot.
Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you!

Hi Brent and Heather...

We're thinking about you here in Carlsbad, CA. Happy Valentines Day, a day late. I'm using a local library computer so can make connections much faster. I agree with Stewart, an update is needed. To share what I know... is to say that Brent continues to recover from his surgery and is doing well in this regard. However, the cold & snow of MN in the winter is taking its toll on his emotional well-being. Brent, Heather, and Madeline need your encouragement right now. Uplifting comments would be most welcome. We LOVE you.

Jan. 12. SO GLAD to hear this good news from you. Thank God that He's strengthened you both to get thru the last three years of misery. We pray that healing will continue. Maybe you can even plan a trip to BEAUTIFUL New England. If you drive, maybe you can get Auntie Esther to come along. What a celebration we could have !! Love, Julie in CT

Hey Y'all,

So glad to hear things have some positive momentum behind them. I hope with little deliberate energy that the momentum continues and even builds. You deserve your time to coast for a while and let things be. Love all of you!
