Hi Justin and Family,

This is Louisiana again checking in. I received an offline message from a friend with an update but since I had continued to visit this page I already knew the info. I have not been on in some time so when I read the message this morning I had to come check your page. Not sure if I had seen the updated pic but I did today. I sure do love the pics and you seem to be back to your old self again. It is so wonderful the blessings we get from our Lord. Prayers are so powerful and I continue to pray for your family each day.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and eat plenty turkey big guy. I wish you all the best from Louisiana.

GOD loves us, and he does love us more than we could ever love eachother, so the only thing we can do is to ask only for HIS will for our lives. Trust and have faith in GOD alone and he will give you peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Look at a wild flower, it does not have anyone to take care of it, but it goes thru its season. It has no way to ask for anything or get up and walk. But GOD gives it water, light and food. Don't you think that GOD loves you more than a weed. If you have a voice, thank GOD for everything that God has done for you and have faith that he will continue to bless you for his glory. We have to remember that we are made for GOD's purpose and are given to parents for a time, and will return to our heavenly father. Which is a far better place than this world. We have to believe that.

My GOD bless you and keep you.

Hi, Justin! Did you know that Grandpa Bob, Grandma Janet, and Captain Stan are in another canoe race! Captain Stan's partner is Porky! (No, not Porky the Pig. This Porky is a fireman whose real name is Rick.) This time they are in Florida traveling 300 miles around the southwest part of the state. Maybe Mom, Dad, or Ashley could show you a map, if you haven't already seen one. They will be paddling hard and furious. You can follow them at http://www.watertribe.com/ because they are putting on the website how good they are doing. In fact, come to think of it, I'll bet that your Dad is taking reports from Grandpa and Grandma. So you probably know all about this already. Well, I hope that the four of them and YOU do well in this upcoming week, and get quickly to where you want to be! Love you!

Hey Justin-- it's your friend from Connecticut- Kathy. I haven't written in awhile and was just thinking about you this morning and wondering how you're doing. I'm glad your mom is so great about updating your web page, but very sorry to hear that you are still going to the clinic every few days. I sure hope everything gets straigtened out soon. You are one tough kid though!! Of course, I've paddled next to your Grandpa Bradford all night, and I know how tough he is, so I would expect the same from you. :-)
I've had a very exciting and busy winter- Greg, and Ken, and my dogs, Zelda and Tippy, all moved into a beautiful new house. It's right by a lake so we have been checking the ice everyday. It's finally frozed enough to skate. Right now we don't have much snow, so we're going to skate today but tonight we are supposed to get a blizzard! We are very excited and hope for lots of snow. You're probably used to lots of snow, but we only get big storms like this once very few years. We have a big yard, so it's going to be fun to play in the snow with the dogs. They've never had a yard before, having lived in a condominium before, so they love it here.
Well-- I hope you're doing great soon!

I am actually in New Iberia, Louisiana but have a rural address of Jeaneterre, LA. I get confused myself at times.....lol. Darn 911 has messed with our address. Take care!

Hi Justin: I just got done doing some butchering myself. That venison jerky is great for canoe trips (like the one your grandpa made through my home town of Bemidji, Minnesota) but I can't figure out a way to hide it from everyone else in my house so it lasts until canoe season. This year I'm freezing a big slab of venison so I can wait and make the jerky in the spring.

Congratulations on being tough with all this medical stuff, it will pay off in the end!

Hi Guys,

We were just at the U for our three year checkup. Can't believe it has already been 3 years. Dr. Peters says he takes Collins picture to all the meetings around the world.
We met some interesting people. We met a family with ald that never knew it was in there family--and now they are doing a bmt on her 24 year old son for ald. Another one to pray for. I hope Justin's count go up soon. You know something funny--one of Collins favorite things is deer venision. He cant get enough he even likes the deer jerkey. Thats about the only meat he really likes. Justins weight will come down. Collin is about 7 lbs lighter now than when he went on steroids for the bmt.

Our prayers are with you,

Happy Birthday Ashley . . only 7 more years .. that's how I felt on my 14th Birthday, way back when Fido was still a pup and our cat Murgatroyd still had 7 lives left. And best wishes to Justin. You sound like a brave warrior. Funny thing happened to me today. I was researching Tow Boats for pleasure craft on the Upper Missisippi R. for a friend, and found Wittenburg, and someway found this website. My daughter, who is 39 years old, has a son named Justin, but he's only 6 years old. My daughter has told me that the very often people confuse "luck" or "coincidence" with the Graces of God. It's when they have bad luck that they tend to blame God. Funny how we people are, huh ?

I read of the Kruger Canoe, and wonder if they are the same Kruger family from Kentucky? (Posssible ancient relatives).

Your surgery was probably not a great thing to go thru, but then again, maybe they gave you some laughing gas & you don't even remember it at all! :-) I know all those pokes for IVs and blood draws aren't fun, but they're a necessary part of what you're going thru. Hey little buddy.

The last time I tried sending you a message this web site was not accepting any entries. I presumed that you had been sent home and were doing well so I removed "Caring Bridge" from my favorites. I received an e-mail from Ms. Mary Potter this morning and she told me that you were back in the hospital and asked if I had checked your web site. Well just to let you know, I have put you back in my favorites and promise to keep abreast of your progress.

Please give your family a big hello from me and let them know you ALL are in my prayers. Stay strong little buddy, you've got a lot of people rooting for you.

Hey Justin--
I was very sorry to hear that you had to go back to the hospital! But I am glad you were home for the weekend! DId you do anything fun?
I went to a canoe race, but it became more of a swimming race. It was so windy and lots of people were tipping over, including my partner, Karen, and me. We still had fun though. I saw your Gramps and Grandma Janet at the General Clinton Canoe Race. It was so good to see them. I bet they are anxious to get back from Texas to see you again!
I hope you're feeling good again, and I hope I get to see you sometime this summer!

My prayers are with you all. I feel like I am reading Marshall's page all over again. We have the exact same problem!! On the sunny side let me tell you that Marshall's creatinine level (after 5 months of fighting is now @.8) and We too have been fighting hemalytic anemia. His blood has every know antibody to the blood, there fore, unable to find blood for him. He was diagnosed with HA on May 1st with a HGB of 6.1, We were not able to give him red cells either,( put on Prednisone of 120 mg daily) then he went into the hospital with 2 types of Staph infections in his lines and then his platelets dropped to 33. I felt like the last 7 months in Minnesota was wasted. He is now out of the hospital and line free his HGB is 12.5 ( Prednisone down to 40 mgs daily) Platelets are up to 66 and rising. There is a ray of hope just keep believing and praying. God brought you this far he will see you through it!!!!! I will continue to pray for good results tell Justin to keep his Chin Up. We are thinking of all of you!! If you ever need ANYTHING pleasse feel free to e-mail me, I know exactly what you are feeling and what you are going through. Big HUGS to all.

Hello Denise and Justin. So glad to hear your family is finally all at home together. I have thought of you all often and am so glad to see all is going well for little Justin. We know what you mean by not being able to go anywhere and get out. Gabriel just started doing that about 2 months ago but we "hand sanitize" constantly! I have come to the point where I check your page at least twice a week. But, if it means you are doing good then I totally understand. Hope everything in this next week goes as planned. Good Luck to you and your family.

Hi, Justin! I'm glad that Dr. Peters said you can hopefully go home next week. That will be soooo cooooooool!!! And I bet you feel the same way. But do you think it's cool because you can leave, or because there's still snow in Michigan? Hmmmm.... Keep getting healthy so Captain Stan and I can see you the next time we're in town. Our prayers are with you and your family. I hope the Easter Bunny leaves lots of eggs on Sunday for you to find!
Love you!

Hi Justin and family! I finally got my computer fixed and so I am able to write to you again. Your Grandma Bradford has kept me up to date on how well you are doing. We have been able to walk to town even though the weather has been cold and rainy. Keep up your spirit and remember that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily.

Hello there guys. How are you all doing? It seems the news every day is mixed. A good count here, a concern there. How frustrating that must be for you all. I know that you are looking forward to getting back to Michigan, but you'll be back soon enough. It's good to stay where you are, close to all those doctors who can help you. Besides, the weather in Michigan is so funky, it seems like someone from my family has had a cold or the flu for about a month now. Not fun! I'm glad that your fever has gone away and I'm praying that it doesn't return. I know I haven't written lately, but I do try to keep in touch with your Aunt Angie, and we always do talk about you. You are in the thoughts and prayers of many, and we'll keep you there. We won't forget you, even if it seems like we have because we haven't written. We love you all!!! Please take care and get better real soon!!!

Justin,
Hi - sure hope all is well with you. We missed you in Oscoda this weekend at the Klondike Canoe Race. You should be glad you were not there, it was COOOLLLD!! Your Grandpa and Dave paddled well. They finished in tenth place. We all miss your family at the races. Hopefully, you will be back this summer. Oscoda is a much better place in the summer, anyway. We had so much snow this year, the water levels should be up for a change. We pray for you and your family every night. God bless you.

hey buddy,
we sure do miss you. I just read lauren's e-mail. You need to tell her when you get home that the game is called GO FISH, NOT GOLD FISH. But she is cute though. Today is Michaels last soccer game. I saw the picture of you playing games with Ashley. You need to play the raceing game with your mom because I know you could beat her. She is not very good. When I was out there I let her win everytime just so she wouldn't feel bad. But I don't think it would make her feel bad if you win. Well you get better so you can come home soon. We sure do miss all of you.

Hi Justin-- glad to read that you keep getting better!!! Way to go buddy!
It's finally getting a little warmer out here. When you are a track coach, you really want warm weather! It is hard for the athletes to run in the cold, but even harder for the coach to stand out there all day watching them!! We have our first outdoor meet on Saturday and I am excited. It is in New Jersey.
I hope I see you this summer at the AuSable!

Hi Justin!
Hope this finds you warm and happy. We just had another reminder that winter isn't over...lots of sticky snow! Cabellas is a fun place to visit. Say, I remember that there was a Midwestern Mountineering over on the West Bank that had lots of fun stuff to see. Don't know if they are still there. Plus, you'll have to check out Campmor when you get back out this way. It's not too far from our home.
Best Wishes, Clark

Hi Justin,
You just keep fighting that bad cmv virus. We are praying for you daily. I'm glad to see that your dad and aunt angie made it there safely. Hopefully you'll be home soon. Brandon wanted me to tell you that he love's all of your and one clothes. They are his favorite too! I have to fight him to not wear them every day. Today was Chelsea's 10th birthday and she wanted to go shopping after school to get new clothes for her birthday. So I'm tired and all shopped out. Give your mom and dad and ashley a great big hug. Tell them that we all love and miss them and that we are praying for all of you. Keep getting better. We love you, Tammy and all of the Blough's.

Justin!!!! It's been a while, guy, since I took the time to write. Sounds like your ups and downs are coming and going. Here's hoping they mostly go!

Captain Stan is down in Florida in a canoe-kayak-sailboat race thru the Everglades where all the alligators are. I know your Mom & Dad can tell you all about it. Come to think of it, your Mom saw one up close -- an armigator if I recall correctly! The paddlers face a lot of wind from the Gulf of Mexico, with waves so high that they sometimes have to pull their canoes off the water. In fact, a lot of the people who enter the race don't even finish, it's so difficult. One canoe has finished already and set a new record for the race. You can check it out at http://www.watertribe.com . And there are a lot of pictures already. They can be found at http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=j3sth59.b6y1etih&x=0&y=-5netyk , at http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=j3sth59.bcl7rndl&x=0&y=-54psat , and at http://www.msnusers.com/sirzapphotos/shoebox.msnw .

I think Captain Stan told you that your Hulk picture is taped to our Kruger Cruiser so he can see you all the time! When you go to the WaterTribe website, don't forget to check out the Discussion Forum - it's like a chat room. Reading all the entries reminds me of what your Grandpa Bob and Verlen did 3 years ago and what Grandpa Bob and Clark Eid did last year when they paddled down the Mississippi River.

Well, this is enuf chattering from me. You go check out those websites -- they're really neat!!!

Love you!

Hi Justin!

I hope you're enjoying the warmer weather, although I bet there is a lot of mud around...but then that can be fun, too! Walking through the U. of M. campus is really nice when it warms up. All the students bring their books outside to study in the sun, and toss footballs, and play frisbee, and play guitar, and...do just about anything other than study!
Best Wishes, Clark (ps, watch for a package in the mail!)

Justin,

Sorry I haven't touched base with you lately. With selling our house and packing we have been busy every spare moment for the last month. They will be packing up my computer this weekend and it may be a couple of weeks before I'm back on line.

Glad you are doing well. Although I haven't written you lately you are never to far from my thoughts. You take care of yourself. Do what the Doctors tell you to do and please give your family my best. My next correspondence will probably be from Omaha NE.

Stay strong little buddy,
