Hello Chris. My name is Kelly and I am the daughter of one of your Mom's close friends. I have known you and your brother since you were born. Although you don't know me I know enough about you to know that you are a strong and brave guy. You have been through so much in your life but you have never let it keep you from pushing on. Keep up the fight because God knows that you will accomplish many things in your life ahead of you. Keep your faith high and when you feel like giving up go to God and he will give you the strength you will need. May God bless you and your whole family and give you the strength you need to overcome all obstacles that get in your way.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Chili’s Grill & Bar® announced the kick-off of their fifth annual Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign. Now through September 30, Chili’s restaurants around the country and, for the first time, in Puerto Rico, are marking National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by inviting people to get creative and raise funds to help St. Jude find cures and save children with cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
Guests at participating Chili’s restaurants can contribute to St. Jude in multiple ways:

- Make a donation to St. Jude and receive a Create-A-Pepper chili pepper coloring sheet designed for display at restaurants during the month.

- Purchase Create-A-Pepper T-shirts that can be customized with permanent marker.

- Buy a customized Create-A-Pepper key that can be cut for use at home or the office.

- Eat at Chili’s on Monday, Sept. 29, when Chili’s will donate 100 percent of profits from participating restaurant sales to St. Jude.

Lois & Family; Just wondering how Christopher's appointments went at Sloan. I remembered that you said that you'd be there on the 11th of Aug. We head to Sloan on Monday 8/18. We're spending the night at RMH. That should be fun. I love seeing the staff that were so very kind to us while we lived there for 9 months. Hoping that everything is good.

Hello Schwier Family!! It was so nice to see the new pictures. I remember the times we had together while I was visiting my sister Emily in NY. So glad to read your update and see all of the new pictures. Chris looks great! Too bad you don't have answers for the headaches. Amelia complains about headaches occasionally and I wonder if it has anything to do with the antibody treatments that attacked her nerve cells... In the big, big world we live in it seems trivial but who wants a kid to have headaches?
I was thinking that we should work it out to visit NYC at the same time this summer. I'll try to remember to drop you a line when it's time to schedule the trip. Take care and keep well, Allison

Dear Lois, It is good that Life IS Good. We are going to NY to see an MSK eye doc just to be sure. I got the feeling that the 3f8 therapy could have something to do with what's been going on with us. I'll share what I learn from him. I know it's no fun to have a little guy with headaches. Another idea is his endocrine system. Late effects are such a mystery. Hugs and more, Allison

Hope that you get the Insurance Issues out of the way. That can be a "nightmare". Thanks for the pic's of the boys. They all look so good. How did Chris's scans go in October? Did you go to Sloan? We are so happy to hear you got your HAMA !!!

While we wanted to wait to get ours, it showed up too soon, and when you were ready to get yours, it kept you waiting. God has a plan, and whatever it is, it seems to work out for us, as it is for you. Rather than try to figure it out, we take our blesings, give thanks, and RUN WITH THE GOOD NEWS !!! Hopefully we will see you soon when our visits are nothing more than scans.

I found your site through Jamie(Beebo)'s list of NED Warriors. My sons are also twins and Kendall was diagnosed with Stage IV just a month after his second birthday. Your kids are gorgeous and I'm so happy to hear of Chris's continued NED status! I hope he achieves HAMA soon so that you can get the antibodies finished.

Dear Lois,
I was just thinking about last year and spending Thanksgiving & Christmas at RMDH and New Years inpatient at MSKCC. I'm so glad for you and your family that you will be home together. I'll pray for a solid HAMA this round. Miss catching up with you periodically. I am really proud of Amanda for doing what she did. That takes guts and a whole lot of love. You rock Amanda.

Chris,
We're glad you shook off the port infection so quickly, and are praying for HAMA to come your way soon. As nice as Sloan Kettering is, I'm sure you've had enough. Glad those "hotspots" were nothing, and when my HAMA goes away, I will see you in New York. Hopefully, my line will be coming out soon too. In HIS name we walk, Emily

Great News!! Clean scans! We are so happy for you all. Glad you also got that mediport pulled. Maybe he'll hama now and all will be done. I'm sure he would like that. We still go monthly to Hopkins for blood work and to flush Amelia's port. My thought is that we'll keep it a year since we just got it in August. Let's just hope it stays clean...

Hugs, Allison, Amelia's mom

Hello from the Dummerth's from Camp Sunrise

We are sorry to hear Chris was in the hospital. Our prayers are with you and your family. We are happy to hear you had a blast at Camp (even though you and Chris fell in) That was pretty funny though.

We are so glad you were able to attend this year. Camp means so much to us and we love to see everyone having a great time.

We will be sure to send you both 2003 and 2004 CD's. (I will push the lady to hurry up on these)

Take care in New York. Our prayers are with you.

Keep in touch.
