It's hard to believe, but Noah would turn 13 years old today! Yes, a teeny-bopper!! I've always said that God really didn't know what he was getting himself in for when he took Noah from us. I'm certain that those of you who knew Noah know exactly what I'm talking about. Now God's got a teenage version of Noah's orneriness in his care and most certainly must be having second thoughts. Oh well, guess that's what God gets for taking Noah so soon! Actually, God picked the best when he chose to take Noah, and now he's putting Noah's jovial attitude, love for silliness, and fascination with bodily noises to good use...somehow...!

Friday evening, I assisted with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual Man, Woman & Celebrity of the Year Finale celebration. Noah was the honorary "Boy of the Year" for this event back in 2002. This was my fifth year of handling the accounting function of the fundraising auctions at the event. I was touched to find out that part of the night's entertainment was a song sung by Hannah, a young lady the same age as my Noah. Hannah is the little girl who sang Noah's favorite song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" at his funeral. Last night, she sang a lovely song about being in the Father's Hands. I can only say that future American Idol contestants need to watch out because Hannah will be giving you all a run for your money one of these days!!!

Well, I must sing my normal happy birthday song to Noah. Being a teenager now, I’m sure he must be thinking ‘aw, jeesh, I’m too old for that, MomManeur’ (as I was affectionately called by my boys), but here goes anyway:

Happy Birthday to You
You Live in a Zoo
You Act Like a Monkey
And You Look Like One Too!!
