The update was beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. I can easily imagine a 12 year old Jillian....same spunk, just more grown-up and definitely sure of herself! She probably wouldn't even notice the handful of boys that would be in awe of her! The other two are getting so big. It was great to see Ken and Nathan this summer. Here's hoping we get to see ALL of you soon!

We are thinking of you today and praying for your family - on Jillian's 12th birthday. We sent balloons to Jillian on her heaven day - which is also Abby's birthday. It's a tradition on Abby's birthday. This year, Abby was joined by cousins, Matthew, Sadie, Natalie and Alex and Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dave. The kids wrote some heartfelt messages to Jillian on her balloons.

Tomorrow my daughter, Megan, will be donating her hair to Locks of Love at Sir Daniel's salon in Naples in honor of her friend, Jillian. She still talks about her almost every day and was so thrilled to find out that she could donate her hair to another child who was sick like Jillian. We will be there at 6:30 a.m. (Yes, in the morning!!) Fox 4 news will be there to film the morning show live and will be interviewing Megan so she can tell her story of her friend. Anyone who gets Fox 4 can tune in and see Megan's story of Jillian!!

Dear Laura,

I will pray you run a very successful marathon. I am sure when you hit the lows you will think of Jillian and you will be able to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Before having children, I ran (not fast) six marathons and while four of them were difficult, crossing the finish line was always a very, very rewarding experience. I'm sure you've heard this a hundred times by now...start slow and easy.

I never met your Jillian but I've never forgotten her either. She ran the race set God set before her with much dignity.

Another beautiful entry. I think of Jillian, especialy on July 8, as she died on Abby's 3rd birthday. Every year it's bittersweat to celebrate Abby's birthday. I always think of how old Jillian would be and what she might be like. We still send balloons to Jillian, and the girls always write a special message to her.

I love the pictures on the site. Matt's Lilly looks a little like Jillian. ..Nathan and Izzy are adorable! It was so great to be able to spend time with all of you this summer.

Hi, hope you guys remember me- I was your social worker at Healthpark. Congrats on your baby girl. I have a new baby girl too. I named her Jillian Faith. Your Jillian was such a sweet angel and I thought of her and her spunky personality when I named our own girl. My baby had a rough start and stopped breathing at birth and was in the NICU. But, she is ok now and I am sure she had a lot of little angels like Jillian watching over her on April 26th. Take care and congrats!
