Rodney,
Thank you again for the honest sharing of your thoughts, fears, and dreams. This site has been my home page for the last month or two, and as I have prayed for you, you have helped me remember the things that matter most in life. I never read one of your journal entries without being moved. I consider it a gift you have given me, this willingness to open your life to all of us, and I am grateful.
Love, Jason

Hi Rod! I am glad you are feeling well enough to stay in the Cam Neely House instead of the hospital.
Reading Bobbie's entries it sounded like she could have been training for the Boston Marathon with all the running around she has been doing.
It seems like you, if it's possible for anyone to have such a viewpoint, have a sense of humor about your condition now that that you have been through what I can only think of as the most difficult thing a person can endure.
I liked your 5/9 entry saying you hoped your tango with Hodgkins disease was over. I couldn't help thinking it was an ironic choice of words cosidering how much Leslie likes to dance. I was thinking that as her marrow kicks in you might want to tango through the streets of Boston.
I had a nice lunch with Kaitlin a couple of months ago. She was a delight! I read her new book to her, and she didn't mind at all if I used strange voices for the characters.
Before you think all your treatments have affected your memory and you are wondering why you can't place me - we've never met. Although I have had the pleasure of meeting many members of your family I can only say that I hope you will be well enough to visit Leslie and we can meet soon.
Leslie is a good friend of mine, and I know the gift she gave you is something beyond what most people can comprehend.I know everything she did for months before the transplant was with you in mind...how to stay healthy to do her best for her brother.
I keep you and your family in my prayers, and strongly believe in the power of prayer to heal and cope.
God bless you and keep you.

Hey Rodney,
Just checked in and read your most recent posting. I hope the cells are cooperating and the bugs are staying far, far away. I read through some of the journal entries and see that Cody is eating watermelon, which is no shock. How is Bobbie doing? Have you read any good books? I am curious about your schedule and how you fill the time. I am gearing up for my big convention, so things are very busy and I am looking forward to June 9th, the day it ends! I will be visiting the east coast in late July and hope I can see you guys again. Love, Dewey

Hey bud,
Dropping in for a web page visit and see that things are moving along. As many have commented - yes, thanks for the reminder on human fragility, and how much we take for granted. You are very strong - hang in there, get well, and let's get together again soonest - Sox game some day?
We'll be in Boston first wk of June (3-4, I think) - would love to take Bobbie and Kaitlyn out for lunch and give them a hug. Have her drop me a line. Your bud, Eric and the "TN" T's

Hey Rodney, You've given so much to all of us, yet there are still so many that need to realize that nothing in life should be taken for granted. Come home, and spread your message! (I agree about the book deal.) And don't forget how much Bobbie has been through as well - you are very lucky to have that woman (tell her!!).

And oh yes, Cody is fine. He now eats watermelon and carrots though, truth be told, I think that he would eat anything! I did decide this time to keep the bag of potatoes hidden from him.

Rodney, it does stink. The experience is nothing I would wish on anyone. If the intended result is reached (as it has been with my sister) it will be worth it. I have to say that I would have traded places with her many times just to save her from the pain, discomfort and humiliation. Unfortunately for her,(fortunately for me) it wasn't possible.

When my son with Asperger's was little and before we knew what was different about him, he would have dreams. To calm him I would offer to take his dreams and replace them with one of my own. He was always ready to give them up until he had a particularly nasty one and he wouldn't let it go because he was concerned I would suffer. I let him know that shared suffering is painful but better than being alone.

My name is Casey, whatever puke-ish feeling you can put over my way, I accept.

Hi Rodney- Just read the latest journal entry. Thanks for keeping all of us informed and close. It is hard to be so far away when I just want to give you and Bobbie a hug! I spent a lot of time thinking about you two this weekend while I was camping. Glad we could spend some time together this fall. Love, Dewey (sorry, can't break this habit when Bobbie is part of the message!)

Dear Rodney,
Read your journal entry today and see a hope in you that I have never seen in anyone before. Writing is a great release and your sense of humor with keep you going. My prayers and with you, Bobbie and Kaitlin, I will be ready to see you when this is over in nothing but the best of health. Think of me Weds. I am have my ankle operated on for a torn tendon and spurs, so when this is over good health for you and no crutches for me.
