Lamont, Many "Thank you"s for the continued & toughtful giving by The Nicholas Colby Fund!
We got the chance to meet you and hear about Nicholas as your guests at the Warrior - Spurs game Jan24th. It was a wonderful experience for my family - especially my Christopher, who fortunately remains in remission.
I was very touched with the lovely and sincere photobooks of Nicholas's life & love - May you and your family continue to find & share your blessings. Thank you & God Bless.

I just rediscovered this site and I can't tell you how happy it's made me!! Neda and I looked at the pictures and read all the guestbook entries we've submited... we also read a bunch of journal entries and looked at my "Reflections" Project and looked at the pictures. I still refuse to take off my bracelet (even for soccer games- I have to tape it to my wrist if I don't take it off) and we miss Nikko everyday...
We will be going to his site on May 26 ( I know it's a day late- but May 26 is my birthday and I wanted to go that day...)
Hope all is well- we love and miss you all,
Hana and Neda

Hey everyone!
I miss you guys sooo much. I just wanted to say Hello and that the new website looks super cool! I wish we could visit you guys or you could visit us! I haven't seen you since May! Over the last few days I have been thinking a lot about Nicholas because for class we are writing speeches for the school about people who made a difference to us or places that were really fun! When my teacher told me that, I knew right away that I would write about Nicholas! He made a difference to everyone. He was amazing!

Thanks to the Nicholas Colby Fund and Anita at UCSF we were fortunate enough to attend "High School Musical 2" at the Oracle Arena last night. Our daughter Lily has been suffering from Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis for 10 years (she is 12 now) and was thrilled to get out and see one of her favorite shows. We greatly appreciate your kindness and genorisity.

Dear Sheila and Lamont
Your e-mail on the Light the Nite Walk perfectly timed for me. I spent time yesterday evening with friends talking about Nikko, and Ben Diffenderfer and Paigee and other kids I found out about throughout the struggles. I am so glad that I continue to think about them because it keeps me on track to make my regular visits to the blood banks. Love to you both. Lamont, Please give my best to my friend Mike Greenhouse.

Hi Lamont, these tickets went so quickly!

One family in particular cried when they received them. They used the tickets as a celebration of their daughter leaving the hospital after three months. She is a hugh High School Musical fan, and the timing could not have been better.

Thank you so much for continuing to be such a great friend to the Children's Hospital.

Great picture and article in today's paper about the jouney of Nicholas' bench. I guess Nicholas really wanted it back since it seemed to happen so quickly, and without further damage is more than a coincidence. Thanks for continuing to keep us posted and glad Shirley could be there with you.

Hi Lamont, Sheila, Chris and family,
I've been meaning to write to you since Monday and came on the sight to find this very devestating news. What a violation. That's the stuff that's so hard to conceive that another person could really do. I always try to stay positive and believe in the honesty and integrity of MOST people... But when something like this happens it really makes you wonder, doesn't it? I really hope that the people who took it reclaim their conscience and bring it back. I'm so sorry.

On a happier note. The fundraiser at Chevy's was a very uplifting event and it was great to see both of you and to see both of you with smiles. You are two wonderful people (you too Chris.)

Lots of love,
Sandi

Lamont and Sheila,
I'm so sorry, I can only imagine how you must feel. Lamont, you're right it's only a physical object but it's what it meant to you and your family. Again, my thoughts and prayers are always with you. I'll also pray that the bench will be returned. Like you said, hopefully it was taken to have something special done to it.

I tried to add this to the guest book in Caringbridge twice but received error messages..

Take care.

Sheila and Lamont, I can't comprehend it. It saddens me to think someone could do such a disrespectful thing. I will be praying for the people involved. God and Nicholas know what took place at Nicholas' site. God will take it from here. . .

Hugs and prayers,

I am so sorry to hear about the missing bench. How traumatic. I remember having my son's shiny new red tricycle (a birthday present from his grandfather) taken from our front yard many years back. I had to ask myself who would be in such a desperate situation that they would steal a trike from a tot? When I could think of it in those terms -- and consider their desperation and neediness -- somehow the incident was easier to swallow. That said, the disappearance of a beloved item is awful. I'm so sorry.

Happy Father's Day, Lamont.
You are such a great dad, always finding "fun" things for Nikko to do.
I remember back to one night I was taking care of Nikko very early on in transplant when he started to spike high fevers. He looked miserable (and I am sure he felt that way too), I wanted him to take tylenol to help with the fever and he did NOT want to. He was not responding to my quiet coaxing. It was pitch black in the room, and you leaned over Nikko and said, "take your medicine now, please", without hesitation he took the tylenol and followed up with a "thanks dad". I could see respect and love together in such a young boy. Those are wonderful traits you (and Sheila) taught him. Thanks for all you are doing for all the kids who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses. You are "the cool dad" to so many kids. We miss Nikko and all of you.

Lamont, Sheila, Christopher, Timothy and Matthew: I can't find the words that I want to say. However, Nicholas is in my/our hearts each and every day. My home, my desk and my heart is filled with love and pictures that I look to everyday. I miss Nicholas so much as I know you all do too. Sitting here at my desk at work, I look at his pictures all around and reminiscing all the times we had, I hear his little voice, I see his smiling face and it makes my day. He's my guardian angel, he gives me strength when I feel weak, he makes me strong when I endure pain, he makes me laugh when I think of some of the things he used to say. He's everything plus more, just wondering what he'd be like today. Oh but I know, he's that darling little boy. He's my nephew who lives on and on. Although, I haven't written in a long time, please know he's in my heart each and every day. I talk to him in my own way. Since my 50th b'day, I hear that message he left me on my voicemail, I copied it over and over again...whenever I need a little lifting, I play it just to hear his sweet voice. I just wanted to send a few words to let you know that you all are in my prayers today and everyday. I love you all so much. I'm glad were one big Happy Family. Lamont and Sheila... thank you for sharing your son Nicholas with all of us. I really have lots to say, but at the moment I can't articulate my thoughts with all these emotions going on. So please know that I am thinking of you especially today on his one year anniversary, but know that he is with us EVERYDAY. With love and kind thoughts I send this message your way. To Nicholas, as little angel, you are always in our thoughts and prayers ... and even more at this time, the memory of your bravery, courage, and gentle spirit will never be forgotten... You have set a bar very high for the rest of us to live as large as you did and continue to do in our hearts, in such a short period of time...

Lamont, Sheila, and Boys - we continue to be so proud of you for all that you do in sharing your warmth and kindness with others.... and let me personally thank you for helping to take such good care of mom during this trying time for her. May God continue to bless you everyday with love, laughter, and good health.

SuuuuuuuuuperNicholas,

Hello my angel. I am sitting in my hotel room in Pleasant Hill preparing to visit Oakmont, catching up on entries your father has made on the website, and relishing the victory the Warriors had last night. It is a blessing to realize, and fulfilling to read how many folks who have had the pleasure to spend time with you hear on earth, and those (individuals who know of you, possibly didn't get to meet you hear on earth, but are blessed with meeting you now through acts of your foundation, stories shared about your life, and the warmth of your spirit/love) and us who have had the wonderfulness to continue to fill your spirit know that it is not a coincindence the success that Thunder and the Warriors are having. I would hate for the Cinderalla story to end, but wether they win the championship are not...so many folks who have caught a glimpse of a game, read the newspaper, saw on the news, heard at school, or possibly talked or overheard at work about the Warriors success have been taught a valuable lesson on life, never giving up, and anything is possible; a few and truly a lot know they have an angel on their (Warriors) side. THANK YOU.

The poem you left for your mom exuberates with accuracy and was a pleasure to read. Thanks for sharing.

Lamont,

The poigant and heartfelt Journal message (5-10-07) to Sheila from you, and the Guestbook entry (5-11-07)from you by Nicolas, deeply touched my heart.
Take some solace in knowing that Nicolas's LOVE for (Mom) Sheila, and (Dad) you, will be with you both - FOREVER....But even better than this knowledge, take comfort in the FACT that both of you will be with him again...Only now it will be even BETTER than before!

I love you brother, and Happy Mother's Day - Sheila.

My Mom Is A Survivor

My Mom is a survivor,
or so I've heard it said.
But I can hear her crying at night
when all others are in bed.

I watch her lay awake at night
and go to hold her hand.
She doesn't know I'm with her
to help her understand.

But like the sands on the beach
that never wash away...
I watch over my surviving mom,
who thinks of me each day.

She wears a smile for others...
a smile of disguise!
But through Heaven's door I see
tears flowing from her eyes.

My mom tries to cope with death
to keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows her knows
it is her way to survive.

As I watch over my surviving mom
through Heaven's open door...
I try to tell her that angels
protect me forevermore.

I know that doesn't help her...
or ease the burden she bears.
So if you get a chance, go visit her...
and show her that you care.

For no matter what she says...
no matter what she feels.
My surviving mom has a broken heart
that time won't ever heal.

I Love You Forever!

Nicholas

I couldn't help think about how much more exciting watching the Warriors on t.v. has been since having joined you at a regular season game - the excitment that all the children who have been treated to a Nicholas Colby Fund Warriors event have no doubt been experiencing, too. Thank you for all you do, and thanks to Nicholas' spirit which has no doubt touched the Golden State team and fans!

Wish you peace at tomorrow's Rememberance Day.

Thought I shoot you an e-mail just to say "Hello", and share this upcoming 11th of May, I will be in the bay area to see grandmother who is preparing to be with our father and you; I look to be able to visit your rested spot here on earth.

I am working right now at my second home; Starbucks (interesting to note, I don't drink coffee, but atmosphere fits well while I am working) and I took a quick look on-line to notice the Warriors are trailing the Mavs. The game is not even close to being over (2nd qtr), but enjoying the cindrella story play out with influence of you all around.

Have a wonderful night, and inform our father I am listening.

Last night was another night I felt Nikko touched his favorite team...The Warriors! The crowd was crazy, the noise deafening, but everytime I saw Thunder I could sense Nicholas. I cannot believe next month will be a year. We see so many kids going through the "cancer experience" but not many leave us with such a lasting impression. Nikko really reminds me of why, I do what I do.

Dear Sheila and Lamont
The world is so small. You know by now that we have a mutual friend in Michael Greenhouse. I learned today that this Caring Bridge site was still open and I feel remiss for not having checked in for quite a while. I was on the phone with my good friend John Diffenderfer a couple of days ago and we talked for a long time about Ben who passed about 6 months earlier than Nicholas. "It never goes away, it just get a little softer"
I asked Michael at my birthday party to give my regards to you. I am glad that he is a man of his word. I will always be thinking of you.

Sheila and Lamont,

I could not help but laugh when listening to Don Nelson talk about the big Warrior win on Sunday night. He said that he did not know what happened....maybe the Mavericks just had a bad night, maybe the Warriors were lucky, maybe.......I thought it was Nicholas!!!! Odd that the Warriors have'nt been in a playoff situation for the last 12 years and look at them now. I can't help to think that Nikko (our little warrior in heaven) is running the show. And to that end, I hope he enjoys the playoff run and continues to be the little angel on the Warriors shoulders. I miss you guys and hope to see you on May 5.

Hello young man! WOW! Your love and magic has touched the Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. Yesterday all day watching the Warriors play the Mavs, I thought of you. It was a wonderful game, and the 8th ranked team put a whipping on the 1st ranked team in their division.

I apologize from being absent on the website, but know you have felt my thoughts, as my family along with I have felt your presence. While watching the game yesterday, your cousin Natalia started talking about Thunder, which let to a wonderful conversation about your spirit.

Take care, take it easy on the folks up in heaven with your b-ball skills, and everyday we enjoy the piece of you we have.

Dear Lamont and Sheila,

I want to say a belated thank you for the Warriors tickets. My son, Darren, was so excited to go and eat concession food when I told him the news. He immediately invited his cousin and two uncles to come with him. Although, we (his mom, dad, and sister) wanted to go, we respected his desire to go hang out with the "guys". I'm just grateful he was willing to leave the house.

Darren was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer at Children's Hospital Oakland May 2005. He received 16 months of treatment and was free of treatment for a short period of time when he relapsed and is currently receiving more chemo and is recovering right now from surgery. Prognosis is poor, but Darren is very much like Nicholas, they have this innate drive to keep going.

Your gift allowed him to be a kid again. It gave him an opportunity to hang out with no worries in a fun environment with the people he love. I can't thank you enough. We have been deeply touched by your kindness. Keep touching those families with your wonderful work.

Thank you for sharing what his fund is doing - offering a moment in time for a child to be a child just like any other. Only someone as loving and caring as you and who have gone through so much would know how best to offer a break for families struggling down the path that you manuevered with such grace, respect, and courage. SuuuuuuuuuuuuperNicholas,

Hello! I just recently finished writing a view sponsors for your foundation (Games Unlimited, Diablo Foods, Admac Digital Imaging, Learning Technology Partners, and the Golden State Warriors). These companies have stepped to the forefront to impact a child's life through sponsorship in one way or another that is priceless to the strength a child gains through assisting your foundation allow Children be Children, and experience an event of their dreams; or obtain important medical needs to assist them (Disneyland, B-ball games, Disney on Ice, Medical supplies, etc.).

While writing these letters many memories serviced to give me inspiration and feeled me with warmth. For example: at your home your father, brothers, my children, you, and I playing B-ball, and you challenging us all to guard you, and you exclaiming "come on...you want a piece of me"; or you putting your guard in a boxing stance challenging me to a duel exclaiming "do you want a piece of me". Yes, was always the response, and Yes is what I have received and blessed will always have...A piece of you.

Have a wonderful day, Thank you for smiling and keeping your blessings over us all, and Thanks for setting the way for so many families and Children experience life the way it should be experience for a moment...a time that impacts their life forever.

Love ya,

Sheila and Lamont, on behalf of LPCH I want to thank you for providing the financial support to allow a family of a very ill child to travel to Disney Land for 3 days!!!
I just spoke with mom and she told me to tell you thank you about a MILLION times!! They truly had the trip of a lifetime! She couldn’t stop talking about the wonderful gift that you gave them as a family. She said her son woke up at 5:00 AM on Thurs (the day of the trip), woke up all his brothers and sisters and had everyone out of the house by 6:00 AM. They had NO problems with the train or bus tickets that you so generously arranged and prepared. They loved the train ride and the bus, and were fascinated with all the sites they passed. They stayed at Disney Land until it closed almost every night, and went on every ride. Mom said that her son never wanted to rest and that he just kept on going and loving every minute of his true dream vacation. She said that her ill son prayed and prayed to have strength for the trip, and in the end he didn’t get sick once or have any pain! Mom said that they loved the food and couldn’t eat enough. She was so grateful for the extra money and said without that money she would not have been able to let them eat at Disney Land.
Through your son and your foundation you granted this family a trip of a life time!!! You do amazing work and I know that this trip will be cherished by this family for many years to come! It has been an honor working with the both of you during the last month. Thank you for your support!!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

It is amazing all the children that are being touched and letting children be children through the synergy and collaborative work of so many fueled by you. Hi Lamont,

I met you downstairs in the lobby at the Attorney General's Office last Friday. I'm Joan's friend Debbie. I just watched the video "A Loving Tribute to Nicolas" today and wanted you to know how much it moved me. I started to cry and Joan told me Nicolas didn't want anyone to cry over him and all of a sudden I had a smile on my face and felt good inside. He seemed to always have a smile on his face in every picture and that is what I will always remember. Nicholas truly lives on and he was so lucky to have a family like yours!

Hello Gilbert Family: I just wanted to send a very belated thank you for the fantastic goodie basket for New Year's Eve that you brought to Children's. The kids had a blast with the hats and poppers, and they loved the sparkling cider with the "champagne" glasses! Your generosity towards the kids on 5 South is amazing, and such a wonderful way to honor Nicholas's spirit of giving. Thanks again!

SuuuuuuuuuuuuuuperNicholas,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! What a day of celebration. This is my second message, as I spoke with your father today, and he shared my first message did not post.

Today, the 27th of January I am labelng as my personal Thanksgiving Day. As much, as I want it to be my day only, I know that today many feel as I. This is a day that symbolizes not only your birthday, but a day that from your example has given me an understanding what love is, how love last, and magnanimity to all. Your spirit has positioned many/me where they would of never seen themselves, and your life continues to be an example for all. I was happy to read about the Warrior halftime continual contribution to sharing the wonderful story of your life, and why your spirit will continue to evolve and help many families.

My Thanksgiving Day story... it is about a young hero that touched me hear on earth, who watches over me in heaven, and spirit will live forever. SuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuperNicholas my angel, my angel I was blessed to hug, carry a piece of him (puzzle piece), and reflect on small comments that were shared from him that resonates with me daily.

Love ya, and Happy Birthday.

Hi Sheila & Lamont,

Just wanted to tell you about a "Nicholas moment" that I experienced over the weekend.

I was at my friend's wedding reception, in Sacramento, on Saturday. (Nicholas had been on my mind all day...as I had stopped by his site on the way to Sacramento.) I was talking to a long time friend of mine, one that knew Nicholas also. I was telling him that Nikko's birthday was coming up and telling him how much I missed Nikko, especially lately. As soon as I spoke those words, the DJ started to play "Step In the Name of Love". I became teary eyed instantly and had goose bumps on my arms. I looked at my friend in complete surprise and SHOCK! He asked what was wrong. I told him that the song we were listening to had been played and Nikko's funeral and it was a song that Nikko really liked. My friend smiled and said "He's here with you Kim."

It's these little signs that keep me going. I know that my baby is always with me. He's never far away. It's just like what you guys say "Never gone – Never far…in our hearts and souls forever".

Shelia & Lamont, words come and go but our God is ever present to hear our cries and to dry our tears. Everyday the sun shines, the wind blows, the clouds roll in, a raindrop falls, a flower buds, or the night is peaceful and calm, is a day that God sent our way to help us through the tasks set before us. God bless you. Soon and very soon we are going to the the King and the "king".

Hi Sheila & Lamont,

I just wanted to let you know how beautiful Nicholas' site looked for Christmas. I loved the big ornaments hanging from the tree along with the snow flakes. The GIANT silver ornament was my favorite...when I looked at it, it was like a mirror hanging from the tree...reflecting everything around it...

I sat up there yesterday, Christmas afternoon, enjoying the day. And like the silver ornament, I reflected on life and Nicholas and everything that I LOVE about him. What a joy he was to have in my life. I am so thankful that I was able to be apart of it.

I love you guys...thank you for sharing your little man with me.

SuuuuuuuuuuuuperNicholas,

Merry Christmas! Today the children and I started a new celebration that was framed around the real meaning of Christmas...Jesus's birth. In order to receive a gift you had to answer questions about this day, what Jesus did for us, and and other important biblical truths. As the day was fruitful, your touch and warmth was felt so near.

We took the time to reflect on things that we have learned this past year, and happy to say the majority of it was learned from a handsome young man, an angel for many, and a true super hero to me. Do you know who that is? Thanks.

Reading some comments on your site, you continue to touch many, and your message of strength, love, belief will be carried and lived through the Nicholas Colby Fund, many folks who have been touched by you, and my family who continues to learn daily from your acts.

Have a blessed day, tell our father we appreciate his love, and i love ya.

Dear Sheila, Lamont and The Nicholas Colby Foundation:

Camilia and her sisters Anais and Aleea Lys and mom just got back last night from Disneyland, and I can tell you that Camilia for the first time in one year and half since she was diagnosed with cancer, has enjoyed being a kid,( now a teenager officially) at Disneyland! Since May of 05, she has been in the hospital every month, except for Nov 05, when she had 30 rounds of radiation as an outpatiet. She had been looking forward to this trip every minute since she knew about it. The Grand California Hotel was so great! From the very moment she arrived, she was welcomed in a very special way with balloons and a special greater to take her around the hotel. The attraction parks were practically in the backyard of the hotel, were Camilia and her sisters would come and go at any time. Once again Camilia was just a kid having fun, "a child being a child" which she had not done since 1 1/2 year ago,no surgeries, no chemotherapy, no lines, no needles , no machines beeping at all times, no infections to fight, and all this made possible first of all by our loving Lord Christ through the "Nicholas Colby Fund". Thank you so much to each one of you who contributes in every form and works hard to make this type of event happens. From the bottom of my heart, I will be forever so greatfull to the memory of little Nicholas!. He would be saying:" I made her happy".

We hold you dearly in our hearts, and don't ever forget that God loves you and cares about you every second. Trust in him that he has a purpose in both of your lives!

I found your site via Kai's. First, thank you for everything you are doing in memory of your son--the blessings you are giving to other children are amazing. Second, my son was born January 22, 2000, just a few days before Nicholas. Then on November 29, 2004, he was diagnosed with ALL. We have been lucky, so far. His leukemia was technically low risk, and he has done well with treatment. We hope he will finish in June of 2007. I am so sorry your journey was so much harder, and that you lost Nicholas this year. I can only imagine your grief, and the sense of loss you still feel.

Your grace and generosity are inspirational to many.

Thank you so much for inviting us to Holiday on Ice on Saturday. Unfortunately, Kai was too tired the night before with lots of crying, we decided to keep the Saturday quiet. I did not want to let this wonderful opportunity unused, so I had passed on tickets to a family who definitely appreciates it.

Sheila and Lamont,
I have been thinking of Nicholas lately. As my son is now the same age as Nikko I see a lot of similarities and hear a lot of the same "funny" sayings. Lately, he has been running aroud the house saying "you wanna piece of me?" and my heart gets a little tight and my eyes get a little wet. I will always remember Nikko's smiling face and laugh when I hear those words. I hope your family will be able to share this Holiday time together and remember all of the joy Nikko has brought to your life and others around him.

SuuuuuuuuuperNicholas,

Hello young man! It has been sometime since I have sent you a message on your website, but through prayer and your warmth, my family (Stefan & Natalia) and I have and continue to feel your presence. This Thanksgiving has been one that has transcending from just a holiday to one that has brought new insight and understanding from the legacy, inspiration, and example you provided. We decided it was time for a new tradition, one that was more about being Thankful, and one that helped others (something that was and continue to be a normal process for you). We helped this year at a local church where homeless, folks with not as much as others get some necessary assistance. The church provided medical treatment, haircuts, Thanksgiving meal, legal assistance, job assistance, clothing, and much more. Your cousin Stefan helped with the children's ministry, and translated English to Spanish for the children who could not speak English. Natalia helped in the pet corral, and I cut hair. It was a very rewarding day, and one that resonated with your presence all around us...Thank you.

It is an inspiration to read the many lives that continue and will be impacted by your life/example of humanity through the Nicholas Colby Foundation.

Through prayer we will talk, and in your website I will write you soon.

Love ya,
Stefan, Natalia, & Charles

Thank you so much for reminding me about the sacredness of every moment, large and small, that we spend with our loved ones. With your help, I can see clearly that it's not just the big moments -- the vacations, the parties and special events -- it's the everyday -- quick hugs on the way out the door, cracking up together over silly jokes, discussions (and sometimes disagreements) over homework, bedtime stories -- that provide the richness of our relationships. Thinking of you all often!

Sheila & Lamont,

Thanks to you both and the Nicholas Colby Fund for making it possible for our son Troy to attend the Warriors game on 11/9/06. Never would it have been possible for Troy to have floor seats if it wasn’t for the Nicholas Colby Fund. He has always wanted to watch an NBA game from the floor. It was a memorable evening for all of us.
It was great to see both of you also, sharing stories of Nicholas & Thunder. We really miss him and think of you both often.

Dear Sheila, Lamont & Family, the logo/flyer looks "Beautiful!" Gosh I think of you so often and in my prayers. Lamont it was such a blessing to speak to you today! Your just the best! As I was telling you remember the "Rainbow" God's promises! The quote from Today's Daily Inspiration reminded me so much of you and Nicholas "The purpose of life is not to be happy. The purpose of life is to matter, to be productive, to have it make some difference that you lived at all." How true that is and I have seen that in Nicholas and in You! But God is Good...He does give us happiness too! ;) The happiness of love, joy and peace. Stay in His Peace my dear friend and continue to live in joy & love...that is what Nicholas gave and that is what you give. Lots of Love! HUGE HUGS! Regina

Dear Family: We were in Sacramento to be present as Vanessa received her Master's Degree last Saturday. I heard the Dean tell the audience that there are three people living inside everyone of us; who we were, who we are and who we will be tomorrow. We have all experienced your journey and I know it made me a more compassionate person. I also remembered the quilt whose finished side only God can see so I'm more accepting of whatever God's plans are for me. I'm glad that you had the opportunity to attend the camp, and I hope you find peace in knowing that Nicholas will be in our prayers and our lives always.

Dear Sheila & Lamont...
How often I think of you and I hope this coming weekend will bring many blessings to you. When I sit back and look at your lives these past couple of years, I reflect on much...at just 6 years of age a little boy impacted so many lives in such a Positive Way. How many people came to love, came to hope, came to joy and came to God. I believe that when God was ready to send Nicholas he looked about and thought “I have to send him to a mother & father that will take care of my special child…because of the plans I have for him… he will serve Me in many ways.” I believe He looked for a mother and father that would have overwhelming love and care... a mother that all she knows is love and a father that would have the unmovable faith of Job in scripture. When I think of this whole picture I see His Hand in it all. We all have a service when we belong to God and whatever He decides we serve… we just keep our faith, stay together and serve with love. When I see you Sheila, I see Love…when I see you Lamont, I see a Servant of God, when I see Nicholas…I see a child of the Most High God…when I see us…I see how blessed we are. He has this plan for you and us…in just 2 years a 6 year child brought us all (500 to how many people? Who knows) together in Love & Faith…only God can do that. I am grateful to be a witness of this Grand Love!

Lord be with You and Bless You...
All my love, Regina xxxooo

Hey guys,

I was watching Jay Leno tonight and there was a man on there whom I do not recognize but he recently lost his younger brother. He said something that made me think of you guys and Nikko. He said, "Every act of kindness that came from the effects of the person whom we loved but lost from those acts of kindness is how that person continues to live." I immediately wanted to share this with you guys. It makes me think of not only you guys and Nicholas but the wonderful fund that you have set up for children in honor of Nicholas and all the great things that the funds provides. This is only one of the ways of how he continues to live.

Love you guys,

There's not a day I stop thinking about Nicholas . Nicholas's Picture is on my desk at work. Everytime I look at his picture his warm smile is so capturing.Even though I've never met Nicholas or you, I feel like I known you for along time.
