Dear Mckayla Kasey & Debbie
I would like to take a moment to thank, and share with you some very special people.
I worried about you all so much, after reading your post that you needed help. I went to my wonderful Parents, Dale & Janna Waller. I shared Mckayla's Story with my Father. He in turn, Shared it with two of his closest friends,
Ron & Arlean Potter & Jeff and Kathy Reed. I don't know how best to share with you, how wonderful and strong these people are, except to also share their story, I think they may be of some insriration to you right now, I know they are to me.

I got the call that my brother passed away, on September 15th 2003. I was in a world so black I could only see the pain in my heart. As I drove to be with my parents, I searched for how to act what to say. I was completely lost inside. Once I got there, Most of the time, We said nothing. My world felt so very black. There was only one knock at our door those first few moments. It was my father's Friend Ron Potter. He came to bring a ham and sit with us. I just remember looking over at him, thinking, wow! How good it felt to see the love in his eyes, and the willingness to just sit with us. there in our darkness.. what a light he was.
Ron & Arlean, Lost thier Son, Only a year before. Yet, there he was, with us. Just a few weeks after my brother passed away, Ron & Arlean lost thier Home, in the
Old Fire. As well as the passing of Ron's Mother. However hard things have been for them they still continue to give of hemselfs.I don't know honestly, how I would react having gone though as much a they have. They are both little Lights. I Thank You Ron & Arlean,for reaching out to Mckayla, You have touched my life once again.

Then there is Jeff & Kathy Reed, I have know them, for what seems my whole life. As a child I remember going once to Lake Havasu camping with them. There daughter Kim & I spent most of that trip on long walks, afraid bats would stick in our hair and Swimming. I remember going to a BBQ at thier home. A Swimming party for Kim and our Parents, "Las Vegas Night! I heard Kim went on to get married and have 3 wonderful children. Suddenly she was stuck by Leukemia, and lost her battle with cancer not long after. Jeff & Kathy Reed have gone on to devote thier life to finding a cure for cancer though, RELAY FOR LIFE. They raise money through donations. People can also buy a lumiare to light the walk way. I have been told that the first Lap in the relay is for Cancer survivors, and they walk to a cheering crowd! Thousands of people clapping thier hands and cheering them on! Then the Track in lined with The candles to represent loved ones who have lost thier battle with cancer.This year it will take place in Fontana California. Jeff & Kathy Reed have also heard Mckayla's story and offered to help. I am so touched by how they have reached out to help financially, How they have risen to the occasion when asked. I am deeply touched, and inspired. I hope it is inspiring for you as well.I hope thier contrubition is of much help to you, Debbie, Mckayla and Kasey.

Hi McKayla, Thanks for coming by my site, you are a big girl compared with me, I was only three in June, so I go to nursery school for two years before I get to go to the big school. My, it's really warm where you are, I can't be out in the sun for long as I'm very fair skinned, although it never gets that warm here, even if it's just a bit sunny, my mammy puts factor 35cream on me. I don't think I'll be needing any on for a while now, I'm wearing my warm tights already, it's been very cold here this last week, and of course we get lots and lots of rain. That is great you have a new dog. Does your dog have 4 legs or 3? Is that a strange question?, well I have two dogs that only have 3 legs. Both are accident victims that no one wanted. Guess what! They both run very fast and are happy. The only problem is that our other dog Bubba does not understand why he has 4 legs. When my grandaughter was very little, I found her outside one day, she said our dogs legs fell off and she was looking for them.

So sorry that McKayla is not feeling good. I hope by now that the cold is gone and that her levels have started to come up. Victor is in the same spot with the platelets right now, but only he did get 4 transfusion in the past week and he is probably going to get another 3 units today when he goes to the clinic. He has never had a reaction to them, It is more common to react to red blood than plts. Well, I missing chatting with you and hope to catch you on the computer soon!

Hi Mckayla:

How are you tonight?

I like mushrooms and Monday evening when I was out looking at my cattle I found some. Out here if the skin peels off easy they are safe to eat and the skin peeled a little but not great. I should have known better. But they looked good and tasted great.

However two hrs later the little critters declared war. I spent until Tuesday at noon unloading mushrooms from both the top and the bottom and have been able to keep liquids down since then. I may try soup tonight or in the morning.

Anyhow I realized that was not a drop in the bucket compared to the battle you are fighting and winning. I have nothing but awe and admiration for your courage and determination. You will surely go very far.

Have you ever been given a present that was wrapped in beautiful paper and maybe even had a bow on it? If you did, I bet you looked at that present and wondered what special gift might be inside. You don't know me but I met you one time when you were just a tiny little girl when your mommy brought you in to work one Friday. You have really grown up to be such a pretty little girl. I talked to your daddy the other day and he told me what a trooper you have been, and he told me about this web site and I felt a strong need to tell you how proud your daddy is of you, and how much he loves you! Your mommy is a super lady too, although I haven't talked with her or seen her for some time, I have been thinking of all of you and praying for you and your family. Dear McKayla,

You do not know me but I care a lot about you and other people specially the disabled. I just heard about your today and I am saddened by the challenge that you and your family are undergoing. On behalf of my family to you, I will pray every night for your speedy recovery and I encourage you to keep your faith in GOD and in yourself that you will be able to overcome your trial. I would like to say good-bye momentarily and leave you with a story that I told my 10-year old daughter Ysabel last night which sounds like this.... There was a man who is very poor living in a small house with his child. He received a letter that said "You will have a guest tonight and his name is Jesus. He looks forward to having dinner with you and your family ". This man is so excited but felt sad that his home was too small and did not have any food for his special guest so he took all what is left of his money and which was not enough to buy a decent food. He went to the store to buy a piece of bread and milk for the occasion. On his way home, an old, dirty and smelly man dressed in raggedy clothes asked him if he can spare for some food to eat as he has not eaten in days. He told the man "sorry, I am getting late and I do not have anything to offer you because I have a very special guest coming to my home this very moment". He went pass the old man, but surprisingly, he stopped and turned back and said..."Here, take all that I have and I will just explain to my guest why I do not have any food to prepare for HIM". So, the man thanked him and left. On his way home he saw a note on his door which read: "I am terribly sorry that I can not stay too long tonight, but I came just to let you know that I enjoyed the dinner and the friendship that you gave me"......Love, Jesus.

I hope that you enjoyed my little story just as my little Ysabel liked it. Take care and a lot of people loves you including the man wearing that raggedy clothes in the story.
