Hi Krystal....Just letting you know that I am praying for you and hoping things are getting better quickly. I've not heard from your Mom since yesterday, so I'm guessing she is busy telling the doctors and nurses what to do!! Ha ha ha! Get better girl. My thoughts are with you,

Oh my love, just seem to keep rolling with the punches...and you always seem to get right back up again. Your such and strong person and you have a great family to help you through all of this. I know there are days where you just want to punch walls, and I understand that. I am sorry. Your strong, I know things will be okay...even, if they get worse before better. Hopefully you will get into these doctors quick and I know they will take good care of you..your Mom is great and always on top of things taking the best care possible of you. At the end of the day everyone is here.. I can send you a pet crawfish :-) People seems to think that it is normal to eat them with the eyes balls on them and heads and then sucks the meat out of the head..NASTY...they claim I will get used to it..but, I HIGHLY doubt that. Miss everyone..xoxo

You are blessed to have a Mom who fights for you and I am blessed to have you guys as friends. Prayers and hugs are headed your way. Stay strong and take all the help you can get! Always...

Thinking of you, Krystal, and the whole family. I can't imagine what all you've had to go through. I'm having a pity party because I have the intestinal virus. I just need to suck it up, and remind myself what you live with on a daily basis. As I write this, Country"Drew" is about 15 hrs. from home. His time with the Marines is over and he is returning to civilian life. I'll be out your way in Aug. for a family wedding. You hang in there,as you always do. You are one strong person.

GOOD GRAVY.....is it always the scenario that you should have to teach the 'educated'??? Next time, TMP, just tell them you are a RN and tell THEM what needs to be done, and how. You two have been through this so many times, it is now second nature. I only wish I could be there to hold both of your hands. But truly, is there any one of those 'professionals' who can really tell you the reasons in some sort of a timely fashion, for all the chain of events of the past six months? (And, it really give you peace of mind???)

All of that aside, Peeps and your entire clan have Him and Us behind you 100%, and don't you forget it. This is not a burden you need to carry alone. Even though some of us are further than a car ride, the telephone lines (and those stupid cellular signals, too) can get us in less than a heartbeat. Peeps and Smiley have you to tell their woes to, but who do you tell? Oh, I know....no one!!! So you better start collecting on some of those paybacks, girlfriend. As we are all here for you and Peeps and Smiley and Chuck too!!! I am just waitin' for the day when I can use the web cam and see those two girls cleaning house!! Boy, such a site to behold! Lol

Love and Hugs, as always,

First .. great site.
I was disgnosed with auto-immune polyglandular syndrom as an infant. I have candidas, hypoparathyroidism, addison and premature ovarian failure. I learned how to deal with my condition at a very young age. I'm 28 now.. and I'm finding it harder at times. I get nauseous a lot but .. I know my body and tell the doctors what to do sometimes. :) Only you know better. Keep strong. It's always nice to meet a fellow APS. We are very rare you know.

Well sooner or later you will get all of the Evil Rooms and related employees trained in the ways of respect and just exactly what their job duties are!!! It is such a shame that for all of their training that they can't at least allow that you two DO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING (and just maybe they don't)!!! But, sweeties, 'keep the faith' and know that we are there right beside you in our hearts and prayers. And, darlin' don't ever loose that beautiful smile of yours. because you know if you smile on the outside, it will spread to the inside AND to others as well.
Fondly,

Good Golly Molly.....both of you ought to be given a honorary medical degree so that you can both practice medicine for yourselves!!! Between the two of you, you would make one hell of a team with your experiences. I know in my heart how hard this is on all of you. But, I also know in my heart all will be well one day. I JUST KNOW IT!!!
Fondly,
TMP2
P.S. I would contact the Hospital Administrator for each of the suggested ones, relaying some of your recent dilemmas in ER's asking how their staff would have handled it. And would you be given the freedom and requisite respect warranted because of your in depth knowledge and experience in each of those situations, as opposed to just being disregarded as an over protective mother? Good Luck dear.
I do not envy you.

I am a 33 yr old white female that was undiagnosed as a teenager with Addison's disease. I was told I was lazy by my gym teacher my freshman yr. Finally my parents had to put me in a private school where I could lay down several times during the day. It takes time to figure out what works for you, to keep you healthy. Only you can know what your body is feeling. I have other medical conditions along with the Addison's but with God, I am able to live a good life. Knowledge is power know what to do in a crisis, it has saved my life. Both my parents are nurses and they even missed the Addision's. Good Luck and much prayers.

Krystal, I know being such a strong girl and a real trooper can get tiresome....especially when things are real scary! Know that God is with you...take deep breaths and know that there are alot of us out here praying for you and thinking of you all the time. You are lucky to have such a great family who is so supportive. Lean on them and let them be your strength in the times that are really hard and you feel you can't lean on yourself. Sending angels to watch out for you!!!! Take care, girl.

Krystal,
Well you certainly are becoming more than 1 in a million by the moment; but we always knew that! I hope they get to the bottom of this and you feel better soon! Uncle Moose (Kurt's twin) also has a rare blood clotting disorder. I keep you and your family in my prayers every single day. Although we've never met, I sure do love all of you!!

Wow, I can't believe your Mom and I have been conversing for eight years!! Where did the time go??

You would have been proud of Katie, she graduated high school last week and wore her "hippy dress" with white cowgirl boots (Yep, graduation is no time to get serious!). The party is July 12 on the property, so you and your family are more than welcome! If you are able, you can add the Mayo trip, if needed.

Take care and love and sloppy kisses to all of you!

Karen,
I just wanted to personally thank you for giving such a wonderful tribute to our precious son Jesse on Krystal's caringbridge site. You are such a kind, caring person that reaches out to so many people, and I truly appreciate you dedicating a portion of your newsletter to talk about my sweet Jesse's recent death. I know if he did not have Addisons and that if our whole family had not been so sick at the same time, he probably would of made it through this flu bug crisis and still be alive today. At least I know that he is in heaven and I will see him again one day, but the empty place in my heart that he occupied with his unique, special personality and all of his love, hugs and kisses, is still so full of pain and loss, although I do see "glimpses" of hope and healing for the future of our family.

I will say this Karen, Krystal is blessed to have such a loving, caring mom who is so attentive to her every health issue and who is also a fighting force to be reckoned with in the ER if proper care and treatment are not provided for her beautiful, amazing daughter!

Blessings and ((((HUGS)))) to you and Krystal,

Love,

Hi, your site is so helpful, and encouraging. I commend everything that you're doing. Ren, I also struggle with anemia and they were talking about 'female' issues, and the dr mentioned something called Ablation of the Uterus. If you haven't had the hyserectomy yet, please look this other procedure up, it can help with the bleeding and is much less invasive. I am looking into it for myself as well, if I cant get answers as to why I'm so anemic. I also have secondary adrenal insufficentcy, so it's really interesting reading what others are going thru and knowing, that I may feel alone much of the time, I'm really not. Thank you so much for having this site up, it has been a source of inspiration. And my prayers are both with you and your family as well as the brave men and women that are out there doing what they have to do for our country.

Sincerely,

I'm still thinking PORTA CATH, although, I do not have MD behind my name. Anyway, I hope you turn the corner soon!! Hope to see you when the 3/5 return.

Krystal I don't know you or your mom, but my son Casey was with 3/5 3 times to Iraq and he knew "your" Rob. Anyway I follow your exploits through your moms posting and like everyone else, I'm amazed that you get through everything life throws at you with such spirit!! I wanted to comment because I just wanted to say that I think you should write a book about your life, and what gets you through the tough times and the good times. I think a picture on the front with your pink hair would be especially spirited and uplifting for others. Pray for you always---have a blessed Christmas.

My computer was out of service for a bit while my son was working on it. So-ooo sorry you are having such a hard time and that it doesn't let up. We are praying for you and with each day that passes I am confident that God will see you thru and that He will wrap HIs arms around you and you will find rest and peace in the shadow of His wings. Hello Krystal..We are a pair or one tough cookies aren't we? I survived this year ..only by the grace of God! Like that energizer bunny..we take a licking and keep on ticking... after all...that is what is most important in life. To never quit! To get up every day, and and thank God for every breath we have. As every breath is a gift from HIM! We don't know why bad things hapen to good people..and won't til we go meet our maker. That is why it is so important we are ready to go every day of our lives ..as we don't know when our last breath will come the Bible tells us. You are a truely an insperation Krystal..and a great encourager to many people..just look at the people who write you. Your life is a living testiment and encouragement and a hope to alot of thoses who have lost hope and who need encouragement, in a world where pain and surrering are the norm for many...Your possitive attitude and longsuffering have blessed many my dear niece.. My love and blessing go out to you and your family. My prayers of healing and restoration shall never stop for you as i do believe in the power of prayer and in miricles! Keep your chin up and your faith in God as He will never leave you no matter what things may appear to be..
Love ,

First of all I would like to offer my prayers to you in the hopes of you getting better. Then I would like to add, that I have Hashimoto's Disease, Candididas, and possibly an adrenal problem, I have a lot of the symptoms just never went to the doctor to have it diagnosed. My husband has vitiligo, and severe allergies, chronic hives to be exact. I am sure many people have offered help to you, and of course I am going to do the same, because no one likes to see people suffer. I have been a customer of a well known company for about 2 months, I have been using their products and have changed different products in my home, and I am drinking more water and exercising. I have never felt better, well, maybe 20 years ago when I was about 17. I am a mother of 5 and now a grandmother. I would like to talk to you about what I have been doing if you are interested. Chances are, you have probably heard about this company, but until 2 months ago I never did, but wished I would have known 20 years ago, because it would have saved my family a lot of pain and suffering. Please email me if you would like to talk or email. This company doesn't advertise, it is all word of mouth customer to customer. Look forward to hearing from you.

KEEP THE PICTURE, DARNIT!!! HI SWEETIE AND SWEETIES MOM, TMP. THIS HERE IS TMP2...AND I HAVEN'T POSTED HERE (OR DID I, JUST DON'T REMEMBER...LOL) THOUGH READ IT AS OFTEN AS TIME PERMITS. YOU AND YOUR MOM HAVE IMPACTED SO MANY LIVES, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW. YOU HAVE GONE THOUGH SO MUCH SHIT, AND JUST TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. LIKE, 'OH WELL', AND MARCH RIGHT ON TO THE NEXT PROJECT AT HAND. AND BY 'PROJECT' I MEAN A MONUMENTAL PROJECT. WITH ALL THAT GOES ON WITH YOUR HEALTH, KRYSTAL, AND I KNOW WHY YOU ORIGINALLY GOT INVOLVED WITH OUR 3/5 GUYS, YOU, GIRL, ARE A SAINT. AND YOUR MOTHER IS MOTHER TO THE SAINTS!! WE ALL ARE LEARNING FROM YOU CHILD, ABOUT STAYING POSITIVE, ABOUT LOVING LIFE. AND BEING AS GOOD LOOKING AS YOU ARE, I KNOW JUST THAT FACT ALONE BRINGS A SMILE TO THOSE (LIKE MY SON MAGIC!!) WHO ARE FIGHTING IN THAT DARNED OLD SAND BOX. AND THEN BEYOND THAT YOU WRITE, SEND GOODIES, KEEP OTHER FAMILIES (LIKE MINE) UPDATED WHEN YOU GET NEWS, ALL THE WHILE DEALING WITH MEDS, DOCTOR VISITS, EVIL ROOM, BLOOD TESTS. TELL ME, WHAT IS YOUR SECRET TO LENGHTENING THE NUMBER OF HOURS IN A DAY?

JUST REMEMBER, DEAR, YOUR HEALTH IS NUMERO UNO WHEN IT COMES TO THE LIST OF PRIORITIES, AND DON'T FORGET IT. YOU HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS CHILD, BUT TO STAY WELL AND SMILING.
WHO ELSE IS GOING TO KEEP TMP ON THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW???
I LOVE YOU,

Hi Krystal!

Ren sent me an email about Freedom Isn't Free and your web page link was included so I decided to check it out! I think you may remember me from the Marine Parents board. My name is Carol (aka...Carol_n_Texas) and my son is LCPL Aaron and he is with 3/5. He is currently over in Iraq right now, as I'm sure you already know!

First of all I want to say how beautiful you look with all those handsome Marines surrounding you! They must of all been fighting over who got to hold your arm going into the theater to see A Christmas Carol, too!

I just could not believe when I read down the page how many health problems that you are having. When I read Addisons my heart nearly stopped because I have 3 children that have adrenal gland insufficiancy.....I actually have 6 children and the first 3 did not have it, and the last 3 did. At first they said my 3rd born son had Addisons....he had dark pigmentation (kept asking if we had Italians in the family!) and he was jumping off the growth charts. He almost died before they figured out what he had and how to treat it. He has to take cortisol everyday...3X a day! They determined that his adrenal glands do not produce cortisol at all...and 2 babies since then have had the same exact thing! They said it was a very rare genetic disorder. I just wanted you to know that I know a little of what you are having to deal with. Fortunately, my oldest son is my Marine and he does not have that disorder...he probably would of not been a Marine today if he did.

Well, I shouldn't be writing so much right now but I just wanted you to know that I loved seeing a picture of you and think you are a beautiful girl. I am so sorry that you are having to go through all these health problems too. I'll keep you on my prayer list.

Hugs to you Kystal,

Carol

Hi Krystal,
I just wanted to let you know that when Nick tried the Prednisone (as an alternative to the Cortef), the doctor told him he could take Cortef along with it if he felt he needed it. [like a second med for break-through] After about a week, I saw that Nick was taking just as much Cortef throughout the day as before he started the Prednisone, so we went back to just Cortef. I want him to try the Prednizone again someday, because I don't think we gave it a fair shot. It's longer lasting and you don't have to think about pills pills pills all day long. I bet you're tired of pills. I saw that you are taking Protonix. Will ask the doc about that today. Maybe it is better than the Zantac? I hate that Nick is spending his life with his good buddy, nausea.

Glad you're out of the hospital. We might get out sometime this weekend.

Take care.

Shannon Snow <ShannonSnow@theunion.net>
Nevada City, CA - Friday, August 12, 2005 12:12 AM CDT
Krystal,
I am so hoping and praying the prednisone works for you. It gave Brianne back her life. She never felt good on the cortef (but is was so much better than no steroids). After that 3rd trip to the ER going into crisis the new doc changed her and within a few weeks she could tell a difference. On cortef she felt like an addict needing her fix when the next dose was due. On the prednisone she can now sleep-in in the morning and take it when she gets up and take it anytime in the evening from dinner to bedtime. Plus it doesn't make her as hungry!!! Great thing. Her fasting cortisol level is now about 4.2 (still on the low side but a definite improvement from 0.2 or 0.5 on the cortef) I so pray that this will give you your life back also. Bree tried for a few weeks to do the cortef again and then she really could tell the difference. She is on the same dose of 7.5. I believe God will do great miracles with you on this, just give it a few weeks. So glad you are home and out of the hospital.
Love, Carol (another addison Mom that constantly has you in her prayers)

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with dumb doctors. Scary how little some of them know. And if you mention that your mom knows more than they do, well, they just get indignant and huffy and treat you worse for it. You have a great mom. Know that we think of you and wish you well.

HAY KRYSTAL, JESUS LOVES YOU! AND UNCLE DAVID DOES TOO! AND I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR YOU. YOU HAVE ALWAYS HAD A GREAT ATTUTUDE ABOUT YOUR "MOUNTAINS" MEDICAL PROBLEMS-PAIN AND SUFFERING IN LIFE THAT YOU HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH. YOU ARE TRUELY A GOOD EXAMPLE AND ENCOURAGER OF HOW PEOPLE SHOULD ACT IN LIFE WHEN DEALING WITH THEIR "MOUNTAINS" AS WE ALL HAVE THEM. YOU CERTAINLY HAVE BEEN TO ME! ONE THING I HAVE LEARNED AFTER 22 YEARS OF PAIN AND SUFFERING...GOD WILL ALWAYS GET YOU THRU A PROBLEM...IF YOU KEEP YOUR EYES ON HIM AND TRUST HIM..EVEN IF A SITUATION DOSEN'T TURN OUT HOW WE WANT IT TO! HE IS IN CONTROL OF OUR LIVES. NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR LIFE-DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!EVER!!
BECAUSE GOD WILL NEVER EVER GIVE UP ON YOU! AND HE SENT HIS SON JESUS HERE ON EARTH TO PROVE IT. SO YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN..REMAIN POSITIVE WITH THAT GREAT OUTLOOK YOU HAVE. KEEP ENCOURAGING OTHER PEOPLE..THAT IS A GIFT FROM GOD YOU HAVE TO MINISTER TO OTHERS-ENCOURAGEMENT, AND YOU DO IT VERY WELL.
SO I'LL CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR YOU, AS WELL AS ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO LOVE YOU. AND DONT YOU EVER GIVE UP!

HI BABY: YOU KNOW I READ THIS EVERY TIME IT IS UPDATED, BUT NEVER SIGN THE GUESTBOOK, I DON'T KNOW WHY. BUT THIS TIME I FELT COMPELLED....I KNOW I SHOULD NOT BE ASKING YOU FOR FAVORS, BUT I JUST 'HAFTA'! I WOULD LIKE YOU TO TRY AND FOCUS ON ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS...THAT IS YOU. WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR YOUR LIFE, WHAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS OR THAT? AS WITH YOUR SWEETHEART MOM, YOU ARE ALWAYS PUTTING SOMEONE ELSE IN THE FIRST SLOT, JUST THIS ONCE PUT YOURSELF IN THE FIRST FLOT OF YOUR MIND. IT DOESN'T BECOME A PERMANENT THING, BUT IT CERTAINLY PUTS A DIFFERENT LIGHT ON LIFE, AT LEAST FOR A WHILE. I THINK THESE PAST MONTHS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN FOCUSED ON SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT. BUT AS I ALWAYS TELL MY GIRLS, YOU CAN'T MAKE ANYONE ELSE HAPPY UNTIL YOU KNOW HOW TO MAKE YOUR SELF HAPPY. IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW OR WHAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY, HOW, THEN, CAN YOU THINK OF MAKING ANYONE ELSE HAPPY? YOUR EMOTIONS ARE, AS YOUR MOM SAID, AT THE CENTER OF FEELING BETTER OR GETTING WORSE. AND THAT ROLLER COASTER RIDE, JUST BY THE SHEER NATURE OF IT, HAS GOT TO BE THROWING YOUR MIND AND BODY FOR ONE H_ _ L OF A LOOP. THINK ABOUT, KRYSTAL, JUST FOR A LITTLE BIT, AND SEE IF THE PUZZLE PIECES DON'T FIT TOGETHER A LITTLE EASIER.
YOU KNOW, AS ALWAYS, 'ME LOVE', LEANNE & GANG.
P.S. THE 'ME LOVE' WAS ALWAYS HOW MY DAD TOLD ME HE LOVED ME WHEN HE WAS ALIVE! SO YA GOTTA KNOW JUST HOW SPECIAL YOU ARE TO A LOT OF FOLKS!!!

Hi Krystal, it's Aspen. I wanted to let you know I am too weak for cardio, no biking or walking. I did do floor exercises yesterday, about 45 mins. I plan on doing that all this month and try cardio next month. I do 10 mins at the top of each hour when I'm home. It's very hot here so I am home quite a bit, which is good, because I can stick to this routine. If I do cardio I know I will kill myself for the next three days.

On the psychological front this little routine is working. I can look back at yesterday and not feel bad about myself. This helps immensley. I know if I do some floor exercises today, I am going to feel good about the effort I have put in.

I hope this can help you feel better. I sure do. It's a little weird because if I would have not done anything yesterday, I would not feel as good about myself. This mental boost really helps.

Since I am 48 and 1/2 :) I am not looking so much at the body benefits (but I better lose some of this weight), I am looking towards a healthier me.

Krystal,
Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers for continued recovery in your struggle with your endocrine system. The steroid gain/loss is not an easy one, however the weight gain is a sign that the meds are working and you are alive!!! That's the most important thing!! We all care very much about you and wish you the best. You have a wonderful heart and much to contribute to this world!!! Peace to you and yours!!! XOXOXXOO

Krystal, I know how frustrated you must be with the weight gain from steroids, but try to think of it as a necessary evil. It is far better to be overweight from steroids and feeling well enough to start exercising again than to be at deaths door. I hope and pray you continue to get good results from the new regime and life may become more "normal" for you. Don't let other people's ignorance affect your health, they don't know you and what you have been through. Stand tall and proud, you are a survivor and have a supportive family, friends and of course Casper who all understand, you are incredibly lucky.

Krystal you are in my thoughts and prayers as you find out who your real friends are. Not many can understand the ups, downs, ins and outs of Addison's Disease, but after 30 years with it, I can assure you, that weight gain is real and we struggle with it daily. All we can do is put one foot ahead of the other one and do the best we can do. Your support team is the GREATEST!!!!!!

I sure wish you and my son, Nick, could meet someday. This Addison's is so rare in young people that Nick has never met anyone who shares his troubles. Thank you for the guestbook entry on his website.

If you and Casper ever want to have a little camping vacation, we live in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada's where people go to camp and vacation. You are always welcome to come and visit. We have a huge house here in the big woods if you don't like tents and such. Oh, and the Yuba River is something to experience!

Hello Krystal,
My son Kristopher died from Addisons on Aug 2, 2004. He was only 25 yrs old and left behind a young wife and daughter. He went to the Drs and even was admitted to the hospital...but they missed it and he died shortly after that. I am so glad that they diagnosed you in time and that you are getting the treatment you need...I will keep you in my prayers

Dear Krystal, my name is Julianne and I have recently been diagnosed with Addisons Disease. I also have migrains, IBS and vitiligo which I was diagnosed with before the addisons, severe depression and anxiety too, but, who wouldn't at this point. I live in Boston, I am 29 and have two Children (girls 11 & 6). I have always had bouts of fatigue that would last for days, sometimes weeks. I was always sick, I would never just catch a cold, I would get really sick and would take a very long time to recover from. Then last May I started to feel awful all the time, constant migrains, vomiting, extreme weakness and fatigue, sleeping 16 hours per day, muscle and joint pain, abdominal pain. It was almost like the flu that wouldn't go away. These symptoms got increasingly worse everyday. I was afraid to go to sleep, I knew I was dying and the doctors had no idea what was wrong with me. I lost 20lbs. I am 5'4" and 115lbs to begin with and went down to a disgusting 95lbs. I had to laugh when I noticed you were counting vials. I know it isn't funny. One of the first times they took blood they put on the IV like contraption and proceeded to take 15 vials of blood. My arms are permantly bruised I think, and I have blood taken a least one a week. Before it was almost everyday. I am on a lot of medication, for everything and Prednisone 10mg a day for the addisons. It took several weeks but, I do feel better. I have good days and bads days. I pray every night that tomorrow will be a good day. I am just trying to keep in together, hold down my job and ensure that my girls have everything they need. I was doing research on the disease when I found your site. I am glad I am not the only one with this illness, although I wish I was. I wish you the best of luck, I will pray for you and Casper. It will get better!

Hi Krystal - I was touched deeply when I read your story. I live nearby in Encinitas, CA. Last year I became ill with Addison's, hypothyroid and probably some other as yet unknown autoimmune disease. I am married with two wonderful daughters and love my family very much. I have had some good days and pretty horrendous days. Prior to Addison's, I used to bicycle a lot and would ride with a large group of cyclists through Camp Pendleton every Wednesday morning until they closed it to the public after 9/11. We used to see the marines out training. I wish you well and pray that husband is protected from harm.

I also have addison's, mine being caused by lymphocytic hypophesitis (only 150 diagnosed since 1995). Another rare disorder. I just wanted to let you know I know how you feel with the addison's part. Mine wasn't diagnosed till I was 18, 5'4'', 75 pounds, and a cortisol level of 0.2. Everyone kept saying I was an anorexic teen that needed to be hospitalized and wouldn't believe me that it was something else. All I'm saying is God keeps people like us alive for a reason, cause I know I shouldn't be alive today. Just a word of encouragement, you're NOT ALONE.

God Bless

Love your site and enjoyed reading the comments from your sister. Your positive attitude inspires me to perservere in my journey with Addison's. Sometimes I get sad when I think about continuing with the rest of my life and mine is 2/3's over (unless God sees fit to keep me around longer). I have faith that someone in your lifetime will come up with a new course of action for autoimmune diseases and a cure will be found. Perhaps you will play a part in that someday. You are truely blessed to have such a loving and caring mother and sister. Hang on girl - you can ride it out! sincererly, Annie Dunn

Hey, It's your cousin Emily from Long Beach. I love the site. My mom can never get the story strait when I ask about you. SO, it's nice to know what's going on. I haven't seen you in about 4 or 5 years and wasn't sure how to get in touch. Anyways, just wanted you to know that I'm here and care even if I dont get to see you you're still one of my favorit family members. Oh and hi to karen and Candice.

Krystal,
You know Grandpa and I are so proud of you! You have
grown up to be a wonderful, caring and beautiful young
lady. Grandpa will treasure the times with you in the
snow. I will always treasure when you come over to
spend time with me. You are so great at training Darby
and even with all of your medical problems, you are
always smiling and upbeat while you help me with the
cleaning and cooking in my home. Your outlook on life
is fabulous!!
We love you....

Hello Krystal,
Your grandmother was kind enough to inform me of your web site. Pretty cool! You are very beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing you and the family, at the Scottish Festival in Costa Mesa this May. I'm in the studio these days recording a new album. Hopefully, it will be ready for release in a couple of months.
You are a special young lady - see you soon!

Hi Sweetie!
Hope your feeling better soon. Can you use a swamp cooler at the house for a bit to help with the heat? We have one if you need it. Those PJ bottoms you picked out for Grandma B. are so adorable!!! Yes, a hem job is in order of about four inches. But still, too cute!! Take Care, and tell everyone HI! Uncle Mark and I are doing more sorting and rearranging in the garage for the "weekend." Home work. ;)

Krystal, what a beautiful young lady you are! I've tried to imagine you from the letters your mom and I have shared but now I don't have to imagine, I can just look at the pics here. Gotta get a pic of your mom on here with you. "When the tide of life turns against you, and the current upsets your boat, don't waste your tears on what might have been, just lay on your back and float". This was spoken by Art Carney as Ed Norton on the old Honeymooners series but I have always liked it and you seem to have that type of attitude so I thought I'd share it with you. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

What a cool gal to be saddled to autoimmune so early in her life! Hopefully the technique that was discovered at Johns Hopkins for live kidney transplants will be of use to Krystal. They've found a way to quiet the immune system. All a kidney transplant pt. needs now is a live donor. I heard this on an early morning news program, but haven't checked it out at Johns Hopkins site yet.

God Bless,

Marti
