Hello! I'm hoping you may check this at some point. I was so happy to read that your son was still in remission as of your last post. My daughter was diagnosed with CCSK in December, 2010. She was 18 months old. She finished treatment in June, 2011 and was in remission until March 20, 2012 (just a couple weeks ago) when a routine MRI showed a 7mm mass in her brain. We just finished our last day of her first round of chemo, today. I was hoping to compare notes, and maybe just have someone to talk to. I have yet to actually find someone who's child has/had CCSK. Thank you for taking the time to read this! Also, you're welcome to call me as well. (903) 353-1701. : )

Hi, I am so glad to hear that Jonathan is in remission for three years now! I actually came across your story when I visited Andy's page. I saw that you haven't updated since April 2006 and didn't want to sign the guestbook in case you wouldn't check. I am glad to hear that you haven't had to update often because of the great news. I grately anticipate the day, we too, don't have to update as often due to GOOD health and dare I say, REMISSION! Jonathan has been in our prayers for over two weeks now. His name joined our nightly list because as I said I viewed his site. I can't thank you enough for visiting Alexa's site. If you would like to talk, you can call me at 631-751-0945 or on my cell at 631-680-6879. I wish continued health for Jonathan and your family! You will continue to stay in our prayers. Sincerely, Tom, Debbie and Alexa Moore

Good Morning! Thank you for signing Alexa's guestbook. I am so happy to hear that Jonathan has been in remission for three years-good boy, Jonathan! I actually have looked at his site before. I saw the journal's last date of April and wasn't sure if you'd check the guestbook. I am sure with life "back to normal" it's not necessary to update all the time (I anxiously await that day). We are very new to this battle, so we have a long journey ahead, but like Jonathan, Alexa is a fighter and I KNOW we'll be joining your family in the land of "remission". My phone number is 631-751-0945 and my cell # is 631-680-6879 if you'd ever like to talk. You may not believe me when I say that Jonathan has already been on our list of nightly prayers, but it's true. I found him on Andy's site a few weeks back. I only saw two journals that were currently updated. Some even further back to the year 2005. I felt strange signing the guestbook as you can imagine. I will check back on Jonathan. I am at Sloan Memorial Kettering right now awaiting Alexa's chemotherapy treatment for the day. Take care and thanks again. Continued luck, HEALTH and happiness to your family! Sincerely, Debbie, Tom and Alexa Moore

So glad to hear Jonathan is doing so well. Gives me hope for my grandon Christian who was diagnosed with CCSK in January 2005. He went into remission for a year after 9 months chemo but showed signs of cancer in the bone last year. He has been having regular chemo since November and tomorrow starts an intensive course of treatment. One week receiving daily doses of 2 types of chemo followed by one massive dose of a completely new chemo. All this followed by radiotherapy on the leg. All very scary but we have hope reading about Jonathan. Love to you all. xxx

Happy Birthday Jonathon!! We are so sorry, we didn't realize we had missed it until now. You're birthday is the day after Lindsay's. That's so neat. We hope it was a great day for you. We know it was for mommy and daddy.

Anne, we cannot get over how wonderful Jonathon looks in the new picture posted on the site. His hair is coming in, his coloring is fantastic--he looks so...HEALTHY, which of course, is what he is and will continue to be. I know we've said this to you before, but we cannot thank you and Greg enough for sharing Jonathon's story with us. I am counting down days until Peyton is off chemo and starts to look healthy again. I read, re-read and re-read the part of your latest post about the Oncologist saying Jonathon's prognosis should be very good. We've had a few doctors dance around that phrase with us, but until Pey is off treatment and scanned, they aren't going to say that. What a glorious day that will be! Thank you for the extra encouragement you just gave us today. We are so excited that Jonathon is doing so well and are so happy for you that God is hearing everyone's prayers for Jonathon's complete and timely healing. Give him a big happy birthday hug from his biggest fans in Texas. We love you all.

I just read the wonderful news on Jonathon's latest. My thoughts went to the incredible doctors with such patience and understanding as they love these children and must perform "nasty" things in order for these children to become healed and whole again. Here's to all of Jonathon's doctors, nurses, medical staff, at Stanford. Their rewards in heaven will be great and those they administer to on earth are blessed. God has given you two the tools to complete the job He has given you. God is the Ultimate Healer and the Victor. Amen.

Congratulations!! We are so very happy that you are done with chemo. Jonathon, you have been so brave and you are a great big testimony in a little body. You have been a hero to us since we first found you and your mom and dad. Anne and Greg, thank you for all of your help, advice, and for being our island of information in this sea of confusion we are sometimes in.

We will continue to pray for Jonathon everyday and we hope you will stay in touch. I can't wait for our last day of chemo. I have a feeling I won't be fit to be around because I will be so happy to be done. In the meantime, I am going to be happy for all of you because you have fought a very good fight.

We love you all!

Hi Jonathon, We are Peyton's Grammy and Gramps and we were talking about you tonight. We found your website and the good news that you are almost through with all of your chemo. I am so happy for you and your mom and dad. I just know that you and Peyton are both going to grow up to be wonderful people who are going to change the world. Gramps and I pray for you each night, so know that Texas is praying for you, too. Tell Mom and Dad to keep putting those beautiful pictures of you on the website so we can see how big and strong you get each day. God bless you, sweet boy.

It's great to hear that Jonathon is almost done. Being off treatment is definitely better. Be prepared for some mixed emotions, though, sometimes it feels a little scary right after treatment ends. It will be wonderful to see Jonathon get his hair back and grow stronger. These little guys seem to recover very quickly.

I am so glad you have reached the end of chemo. You are still in my daily prayers. I know it may seem overwhelming, but I believe God will never give us more than we can handle. That said, I still wish you didn't have to go through this. Jonathon is very strong, as are his parents. I wish I could be there to hug all of you.

Dearest Greg, Anne and Jonathon.....I just read comments from the previous entry from "Sophia" who also has undergone treatment for CCSK. I went to her website and found photos of a most beautiful little with a million-dollar smile. I sent her a note too. One has to believe that these angels are here for a special reason and that they will live to do great things in this world after going through such difficult times in their tender years. Jonathon, we love you immensely and still have a daily prayer for you. We will now add Sophia to our prayer regimen. You have all of our love. We cannot wait until you are finally finished with these treatments so that we can come for a visit. Looking forward to holding you.

Hey Jonathan. My name is Sophia and I also was diagnosed with Stage I, CCSK, about 1 year ago. I finished my treatment in September 2003. My hair is growing back and I'm feeling really great. I know the chemo can be tough and there are some days when you feel yucky, but just know that lots of extra special kids have gone through this regimen and have come out on top. You're in our thoughts and prayers. Best, Sophia Biabani (more information about my days of chemo can be found at www.caringbridge.org/dc/sophia)

Hi Jonathon:
What fun you had yesterday at Stanford with all the "Pup Pups" that were there for a visit. That is what you call
puppies. There were at least 9 and they were all surrounding
you and kissing you and you were very gentle with them.
You also petted a Bunny, sure wish Nana had a camera.

But your very favorite are the trains that you like to watch. We spent a long time as you did'nt want to
leave. How you love trains. I have such fun with you. Keeping up with you is a
challenge for you Nana with your high energy.

You will be home on Monday and Papa and I can't wait to see
you.

Only one more 3 day stay for Chemo. Yea!
We are going to celebrate. You are such a trooper.

Papa and I think about you each day and are so grateful for
you being in our lives.

We pray for you and your mommy and daddy.

Love, Nana

Thinking of both of you this particular week-end as Greg's parents are away for the wedding in Texas. In our family, we have a 11 months nephew who was born at 1-1/2 pounds and this past year has been monumental for them with isolation and constant emergency trips to hospital. Dearest Anne and Greg......I sent a long email to the home address a couple of weeks ago, but apparently it came back unreceived. Anyhow, just want you all to know that I check the site daily and keep everyone updated. I replace Jonathon's name on several prayer rolls every two weeks to keep it current. That is wonderful news about the prognosis for CCSK. There will come a time when you will NOT think about this everyday. Its hard to know that you are having to go through this hard stuff but it does work, thankfully. Give Jonathon a big squeeze from Aunt Nancy and please know how much our family loves you all. Dear Anne, Gregg and Jonathan- I must tell you that you are ALL very strong, wonderful individuals. Your strength, optisim, and support to one another will GREATLY help you in this type of situation. We know, because we were there! My son Dustin is a healthy, happy, very active little 3 year old. Last year, one month before his 2 yr. old birthday, Dustin was also diagnosed with CCSK. Everything you have written in regard to feelings and emotions were ours!! I want you to now that children are resiliant!! They might be small, but are much "stronger" than we think they are. Dustin had the same protocol as Jonathan, and did great. He completed his last treatment in mid March, and just got his port out 1 week before his 3rd birthday! (that was the BEST birthday present anyone can ask for) We continually go for his follow up tests/scans every 3 months and just know that our little guy is going to be great!! If you would like to ask me ANYTHING, please email me...it will be my pleasure to talk with you. I do pray for you and only wish you all the best of luck.....think positive and try to keep a smile on as much as possible.

Dear Jonathon, Ann, and Greg,
I am amazed at how well you are handling the current situation. Especialy doing these medical procedures on your own son! Ann in a sense I figure you and my moms "problems" with the whole procedures that you guys just learned to do on your own is one in the same (Mom feints when she sees blood or someone getting a shot).
Tell Jonathon that cousin Chris loves him very much! I pray for you every night. Seeing as this next part is a little off topic I was kinda hoping that you could e-mail me back if you get time. So I have started high school! Finaly... it is really fun, I made friends with the upper-classmen on the first day because of band. Speaking of band, how is guitar going Greg? It seems like it has been forever since I have seen you guys. I already missed all of you (Aunt Mary, Uncle Bob, Jonathon, Greg and Ann) on the fly home.:(

Dear Anne and Greg,

God created a beautiful child in Jonathon. He must love you dearly to have given him to you. Surely God is with Jonathon and you during this difficult time.

God is also working through Jonathon to pull our family together closer than we've been in a long time.

You have to know that Grandma Leber is up there saying her rosary directly to the blessed mother and praying directly to God. She won't let heaven rest until Jonathon is completely recovered.

I'm sure Mary has told you that we have had all our friends and the entire Prince of Peace Choir praying for Jonathon and you.

We hope the Prayer Blanket has been a comfort.

You are in our prayers constantly.
