Dearest Bonnie,
My heart and mind are filled with happy thoughts of you today celebrating your Birthday in heaven with Jesus. I treasure every memory of you. Happy times-joyful smiles-sweet laughter-caring words and prayers spoken in the "blue room"-a timely note or text to encourage me-a thoughtful gift from you-Butterflies. I miss you sweet friend. Happy Birthday! I thank my God every time I remember you. Phil 1:3

Lyn, I'm reminded of you often, and pray for you at those times. I praise God for the tremendous testimony that was Bonnie, and is also in you. Most of us will probably never know the degree of suffering that you and your family have walked, but we can proclaim this blessed hope. Bonnie's life was truly full and her witness will continue forever! I believe that yours will as well; the secret moments of love in action that your family has shared will be beautiful to behold on "that glorious day!" I love and miss you~

Missing my best friend every day.....she was energy deprived ATP-wise, but her inner strength was amazing as she would cling to what she knew to be true. She drew her sustenance from God, sometimes minute-by-minute. I think I will forever miss her most on Tuesdays, as it was on a Tuesday that she drew her last breath here on earth.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each regard one another as more important than himself: do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-4 This is the way Bonnie lived. She was truly a hero of the Faith. We should honor her life by doing the same.

Singing this song today and seeing Bonnie in every phrase:
Jesus, Draw Me Ever Nearer
Jesus, draw me ever nearer as I labor through the storm. You have called me to this passage, and I'll follow, though I'm worn.

Jesus guide me through the tempest, keep my spirit staid and sure. When the midnight meets the morning, let me love You even more.

May the treasures of the trial form within me as I go. And at the end of this long passage, let me leave them at Your throne.
Chorus: May this journey bring a blessing, may I rise on wings of faith; and at the end of my heart's testing, with Your likeness let me wake.

Dearest Lyn and family. Thank you for taking the time to let us know, even as you embrace yet another trial. How I praise God for His gifts of faith, love, hope and peace. Know that you all are dearly loved and ... it won't really be long until we shall see Him face to face, and each other too. We all are truly blessed to have you in our lives, and to have had sweet Bonnie for as long as we did.

Good morning, sweet girl! Just want you to know I think about you often and pray for you each time, and that every thought of you brings faith, love and hope. You are a tremendous blessing in Christ. I don't always sign the guest book, though I probably ought to; I like to see if you've updated, but know that it's not that easy. Right now, I'm praying for you what the last dear lady posted and praying that you will feel that faith, love and hope you bring to others return tenfold to you! God bless you, dear one!

Praying that the channel behind your home has stayed in its bounds today. We are in Tampa seeing yet another specialist. After 9 attemps at drawing blood in three different settings, over a 5 wk period, the decision was made to try again with doplar ultrasound, and crash cart nearby!! The drama was that insurance would not approve. Now must wait for prior auth.

S. Georjean reports that they are all ok in phoenix, though wading in mud.
Our prayer is that you will continue to grow in grace. I accidentally typed glow instead of grow and I actually prefer that!
Could we set up a phone chat someday? I need some advice with RJ. I understand that we could plan and still not get it done....
Oh Jesus, marantha!

Loving and praying,

Bill is still struggling with no taste and no smell due to the antibiotic he received because of an infection they found in his right pleura cavity. good morning Bonnie,

Praying for you this morning. I just sat down to pray and read my devotional and the one for today was about welcoming challenging times. And oh my, I know I am preaching to the choir when it comes to challenging times, but it reminds me that we are to take things one moment at a time, and know that Christ is with us now just as he has been in the past and will be in the future.

Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

Praying for peace, patience and God's grace to sustain you.

Dear saint of encouragement! RachelJoy and I have a very crazy idea!! When you go to Boston, what route will you drive.
.we are ready for the adventure of a little road trip and are dreaming about meeting up with you . Let us no how close to northern florida you will be.

I have a proposal for you Bonnie. Have you thought about writing a book that shares your story and challenges that life has handed you? I would be honored to work on it with you by adding devotionals and verses of encourage ment to your experiences, and by Gods amazing grace applying the spiritual truths to others. Who are struggling. I almost died spiritually last winter when I was so sick and hurting so badly for 7 months. Yourstruggles have been deeper and longer, yet the word hope has always been written on your face,
. I want people to here the Bonnie Marie story, and the insights and grace you have, and then take that to the mess I was in, and create a Bible detailed plan of learning how to make sound hopeful, Christ guided decisicions to live for hope.

I am very tired and headed off to bed, but let me know what you think.
Fatigued, but hopefully, and so blessed to know you,
Stephanie

Hello Bonnie, My name is Sharon Loncar and I met your father at FBC on Easter Sunday. He sat at a table where my friend and my family and I were, for breakfast. We introduced each other and had some friendly chat. I wanted to introduce myself to you. Perhaps we could connect and get to know each other some. I am a single mom, with one son, Branden, who is 23. I live in Tempe, and also have a dog, Buddy, cat, Whiskers and some fish. I'm not currently working traditionally, but God keeps me busy with His business. Would you like to share anything about you? Is there something specific that I can be praying for, on your behalf? I'm grateful for the opportunity to connect with you, and I pray that you would have a great day today! Looking forward to hearing back from you. Blessings, Sharon

Dearest Bonnie,
I tried to sign in last week to your account, but it was not possible where I was for security reasons. :-)
I was in Montenegro with Jerome. We visited a Monestary built in a very high mountain. Monks still live and pray there. The Montenegrian people are very strong believers and faithful. In a very small and dark room decorated with only a portrait of Marie on one side and Jesus on the other, I light a candel made of beeswax for you and made a special prayer for you.
You would have loved this secluded place. The people who come to pray bring offerings with them for the monks who live there, from food to clothing to blankets.
I hope that this little message finds you well.
Lots of love to you and your family,
Catherine

Happy day after Resurrection Sunday! I'm glad we got to catch up over lunch a couple of weeks ago. I hope to do it again soon. I'm sad Grammy and Buppa left already. I hardly got to see them this time. I have something for you that I had hoped to get to you by Easter, but it still applies to springtime. :) I will send you an email with a special message I want to share with you. Love you!

At Easter, so many blessings come to mind—the gift of God’s renewing love, the gift of springtime’s beauty, and the gift of friends and family that fill our hearts with gratefulness. So thankful for you—for all we share out of God’s goodness—and praying your Easter is blessed in every way. Praying your spirit is renewed by the miracle of Easter and the promise of each new day. May your faith be refreshed by the love and grace that surround and protect you always...and may your heart be blessed with new joys that blossom all through a beautiful springtime.

Happy Easter Bonnie!!!!
It's always difficult to leave our grandparents. I know what you must be feeling today. I've been thinking of you very often, but I've been very bad at writting. I'm very sorry.
It's been also a couple of hectic months. Jerome has not been here alot during the week. He has alot of work up in Paris. So, between my job and the two little ones....lets just say the gray hairs and wrinkles keep on coming ;-) I think that's it's been more than 3 years now since I've had a full night. Other than that they are both such cutie pies. Alice speeks very well now and Pierre has been crawling since a month now. And at work, I thought of you. We just mounted an exhibition on Lyon's National Opera's lest 20 years of creations. And one of the increadible costumes was worn by Sylvie Guillem in Carmen. I hope that you have been holding up well.
I wish you and your family a very Happy Easter!
Lots of love,
Catherine

So sorry to hear about your favorite nurse. I know you will miss her, but you will see her again. What HOPE we have in Jesus. Praying you have the best day you can. Thanks for sharing the historical summary of the 12 days of Christmas. Hi Bonnie, we too had an unusual Christmas with Bill in the hospital for thoracic surgery. We celebrated on the 1st, as he was released from the hospital on the 27th to a rehab facility, but we got a 6hr pass on Saturday, so all the family gathered together that afternoon at my sisters. We are blessed with my daughter in law who is helping me with IV duty for Bill, only 3 more days of this 24/7 every 6 hrs of infusion. Praying for a cure for you. Love and miss you,

I'm so very sorry that your dear nurse passed away. What a beautiful believer she was! I know she was a great comfort to you in your times of suffering, but I also know that you were a precious gift to her. You HAVE inspired so many of us through your love for Jesus in the midst of incredible trials. Thank you, Bonnie. Good morning Miss Bonnie, and Merry Christmas! I'm so glad you get to celebrate with your brother! We had a fun filled Christmas day with 3 high energy grandchildren and a rather large grand "dog". Jordan and Adrienne have a Great Dane and her name is Blue! She wanted to be in the middle, and Baxter wasn't so sure about that!
Baxter hurt his leg/hip pretty bad while out on a ride with Doug about a month ago. We had to keep him quiet for a couple weeks. He even let me put a heating pad on him and he didn't move:( but I think he is almost 100% again.
Doug is struggling with more nerve damage. His left leg continues to atrophy. It was his calf, now it's the knee and quad muscle. Hard to ride his Trike. Very discouraging (I'm sure you know :(..... He had an EMG beginning of December to test nerves and it showed nerve damage, they just don't know why. He goes to St. Joes next Monday for a CT Myelogram . Hoping that shows why and if anything can be done to stop it or prayerfully reverse it.
I go back to work tomorrow. Could use more time off, but thankful I have a job. Tell your family "hi" for me, love you ❤️Karen

Lord Jesus, I ask You to comfort our dear Bonnie and her parents this morning as her port is being placed. Guide the doctors as they find a place to put it. Make your indescribable love and presence so real to Bonnie, Dave and Lyn so they can rest in You as Bonnie endures yet another procedure. Supply them all with your grace and peace every single moment! Give them the awareness that You (Immanuel) are WITH them! Amen!!! We love you guys! I'll see you next week! Dear Bonnie Messed Up Tests,

So frustrating to read of some of the incompetency of your medical 'carers', I can't imagine how much more so to suffer under it! Honestly, what the hell is going on? Ughh! I am encouraged by your faith, of course, but wish it wasn't tested so often and severely as it is! (And so, as always, I need your prayers too!)

I've always enjoyed the challenge offered by the (probably familiar) verses to this hymn, especially knowing the man who wrote it (William Cowper) suffered from extreme depression and thought himself damned by a just God, even though he desired to be saved. I hope they might do something for you this day. You are loved and hoped for in St Andrews!

LIGHT SHINING OUT OF DARKNESS

GOD moves in a mysterious way,
His wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill;
He treasures up his bright designs,
And works his sovereign will.

Ye fearful saints fresh courage take,
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the LORD by feeble sense,
But trust him for his grace;
Behind a frowning providence,
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding ev’ry hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flow’r.

Blind unbelief is sure to err,
And scan his work in vain;
GOD is his own interpreter,
And he will make it plain.

William Cowper

Happy belated Birthday, Bonnie! I hope you got my card on your actual birthday. I mailed it from Oro Valley the day before hoping you would get it on the 4th! I'm so sorry for all you went through and continue to struggle with. You are a trooper! Anytime a hardship comes up I immediately think of you and how you continue to trust Jesus. I loved the end of your update when you shared "But somehow I do still know His love for me, and that whether "medicine" gets it right or not that He still holds my life in His hands." One thing we know for sure, He is WITH us at all times! Right now our Monday night young adult group is reading a book together, "The Power of the Blood Covenant" by Malcomb Smith. Here are the words I recently read relating to the verse Heb. 13:5

"For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

And I quote, "Wonderful as these words are, the original language conveys a description of covenant commitment that is very difficult to put into English. The Amplified Bible catches the sense of it:

"For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not,[I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]""

Those words bring me great comfort! Knowing He will always be there for us makes me know that HE can handle anything even though WE can't! Paul said in 2 Corinthians 1:8-9,

"For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves, but on God who raises the dead."

I'm glad that getting through trials isn't dependent upon us, but upon HIM! I'm learning that it is okay to be weak, as the Bible states in 2 Corinthians 12:9-11,

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

I pray those scriptures encourage you today, Bonnie. I hope we can celebrate your 30 priceless years next Wednesday over lunch! I love you beyond words!

Dear Bonnie,
I cannot understand why doctors still do not know or understand the special treatment that mito patients need. I thought that enough information was available now and that they would. Has one of your mito docs written a protocol for them to follow when you are in the hospital?
I am so sorry that you have been through such a difficult time. Yet, your faith in God remains strong. Your faith is your strength. You accept that He has a plan for your life and that He will never give you more that you can handle. I know it doesn't seem that way at times. You have suffered so much more than most of us.
You are one of the strongest people I know. I know that you do not feel strong sometimes because you have been through so much pain and suffering. But you never lose your strong faith. What a Christian example you are. I admire and love you so much.

Bonnie,
Thanks for the update especially when I'm sure you really had no desire physically to write/send it. Praying for this next coming week and the doctors involved in all of you procedures/surgeries. I can relate only too well...I literally feel your pain on the whole placing a PICC without being sedated! There are certainly a lot more fun things to be doing. On the last PICC I had placed I had no where they could find to place it as well. They ended up using this one vein they usually will never put PICCs in due to where it leads and the difficultness (don't think that is a word but I'm using it anyway :-) ) of the threading. The vein had 2 extreme corners they had to maneuver through and at one of them if the PICC decided to take the wrong turn it would tread in a direction that could stop my breathing. A LITTLE nerve racking especially when you are laying there listening to them. But our God is so great! My procedure ended up going perfectly and I had that PICC for 4 years. I have faith that God is not done with you yet and that He is going to have everything go smoothly and as painlessly as possible. And then you will heal all those nasty bugs crawling around inside of you, so we can PARTY!!! You deserve a beautiful celebration of the incredible Godly servant of our Savior that you are. I am praying continually for you and can't wait until you are well enough for me to come see you.

Hi Bonnie, Happy Birthday! I was a bit surprised that your blog said Happy Birthday until you said why. You are just a couple of weeks off from Michael so I was expecting it. Thirty is a pretty big milestone - especially with all you've faced. God is good. I keep praying for you and the battle you face daily. Love, Marnie

An early Happy 30th Birthday Bonnie! If you were in St Andrews we could celebrate over a wee dram. I think you can even get whisky in your IV drips here, an NHS basic service to Scots. Praying for God's restorative goodness and merciful healing magic to fill your body and soul.

Thinking of you, Bonnie. Hope you are getting at least a little reprieve from all of your discomfort. Praying that you and the doctors will have special wisdom as you decide on your course of treatment.

Thanks for updating us Bonnie. It struck me that you should have an MD with all the medical lingo you know:) That said, I'm sure you would rather not be as "aware" of all these terms and procedures but you always handle it so well, with oodles of grace and courage. Will be praying for your surgery/procedure. Hoping it goes well. xos

Dear Bonnie, It's such a good thing to take one thing at a time. (I am not great at that yet!) I will be praying God finds the right meds and Dr.s and that you will be renewed. One of God's mighty plans for you is to be a light to the world. I know you are to me. Love and blessings Bonnie.
