Hey Lindsey and family,
Even that crazy rooster who doesn't know what time of day it is. We are still lifting you up. Talked to your Dad today while you were gone to clinic. So good to hear how you are advancing with your treatments. Our God is good and he takes good care of us through many different ways. We look forward to the days when we can see you out playing in the yard again and I know you do too. You have been a real patient little girl and you will be blessed for that. You take care and if ya'll need ANYTHING just give us a big yell and we will come running. Annie and Dixie can't wait for you to be able to pet them again too. We love you guys and will continue lifting you up.

We, too, are a family with a little girl with FA. She is one year older than you and had her transplant in MN on September 7th last year. We got home to Memphis in November.

We are glad to hear that you are at the RMH and out of the hospital and have some positive news about a "going home date"! We wish you the best and send you hugs. Maybe we could meet one day since we live pretty close to eachother!

I check your guestbook every day to see how you are. It must seem like it is taking forever, but these are baby steps. Soon, we pray, these will turn into giant strides. I can imagine how wearing this is on you, her parents, but parents somehow manage to be just strong enough to get through the next minute. I hope I get to meet you when you get home and are back in school. Take care and remember-----one more grandma is praying for the three of you. Linda Farrington (Clay and Josh's grandma)

Oh My! I hate to hear about all that Lindsey (and you) had to go through yesterday! Thank God; though, that things are going better now. Bob and Victoria, try to get some rest when you can - I know this is a heavy, heavy load for you to bear. Try (and I know this can be very difficult to do sometimes) to give your heaviness to God; so, that you can rest. I know that's easier said than done. Just know that I am lifting you up to God on a daily (several times a day!) basis. When you've done all that you can do; sometimes, you just have to LET GOD! I love you guys (and girls)!

Hi Lindsey, Bob, and Victoria!
I want you all to be encouraged! God is hearing our prayers - He may not answer when we want Him to; but, He will answer us. Remember, the trying of our faith worketh patience. I love you all and you are continually in my thoughts and prayers. I know that it's got to be even tougher going through all that you are and no one else in your family able to be there with you. Remember, God is always with us! It's in His company that we find true peace and refreshment. I pray that God leads you to that place of refreshment soon.

Do you get any glimpes of snow there? The head quarters for the company I work for is in Minneapolis and they are telling me all the time how much snow they have to plow through to get to work. Maybe you are in a nice cozy place and do not have to deal with it. (:)

Greetings Lindsey and Family! I love the new picture! We have a similar one in Erin's "Transplant Scrapbook." Thank God for those wonderful, miraculous cells!! I know how tiny your hospital room feels right now -- but in no time at all, you'll be out cruisin in the hallways. Erin practically danced her way around the halls when she was finally able to get out and about. It will be a joyful day, and I will want to hear all about it! Keep the faith. I wanted to let you know that we are all praying. I pray that God will prepare Lindsey's body to receive the transplant well and that it will do what it is intended to do. We pray for a quick recovery and that Lindsey will be able to get back to the "norm" real soon! We pray that God will guide and direct Lindsey's doctors, nurses, and caretakers to give her the best possible care. We pray that the new cells will grow as they are meant to and that Lindsey will live the rest of her life in complete health. Please let her know that we love her and all of you. Lindsey,
I work at Alabama Power Co. with your mom. Just remember that Jesus always has a special place in his heart for children. In Scripture he said that adults should be more like them. I know you understand that. You are a brave and strong person because of your faith. Get well and come back home so you can see my bug collection again! We will be praying for the miracle I know will happen.

Lindsey, it is not only cold where you are but it has been very cold here at home. I am excited that you are getting close to your "re-birth" next week. Even if you don't feel great this week, just think about how soon you will be feeling better and when you can be back on a horse riding around in some warm weather. I love you but more importantly, God loves you very much.

Hi Lindsey, you are a special gift from God and you have touched so many lives at such a very young age! I want to share a love letter from God. It is from one of my daily devotional readings;

My Daughter,

My desire is for you to live in health all the days of your life. Bring Me your pain, sorrow, and grief and I will give you joy and health. Hold on to Me because I am your strength. I want you to live out all the days of your life and fulfill every plan I have set before you, I am the Lord who heals.

God

"I am the Lord, who heals you." Exodus 15:26

He who formed our frame made man a perfect whole and made the body's health depend upon the soul.

May God Bless you and your family, always.

Wait until I tell the class you were able to play in the snow! They will be so envious, while we sit here awaiting freezing rain so we may stay home from school just one day! Hi Victoria, Lindsey & Family! The McKee family is just checking in. Don't despair over Lindsey's latest lab results. Enjoy your summer and take things one doctor visit at a time. Lindsey is otherwise healthy and strong, and you have an excellent doctor who will take very good care of her. It's not an easy path our girls must take -- but they will get through this and be fine. Hi Lindsey & Family! I have checked your website many times, but never signed your guestbook. My daughter, Erin, is a nine year old FA patient who underwent a bone marrow transplant (cord blood - 5 for 6 match) with Dr. Wagner in Minneapolis in May of 2005. Since it looks like you might be moving in that direction, I just wanted to let you know that Erin's transplant went VERY well, and she is doing fabulously today. Cord Blood was the answer to our prayers. Her CBC results are all completely normal today, and have been for a very long time now. She never experienced any form of GVHD whatsoever. She's back to doing all the fun things she used to do, and she's feeling GREAT. Erin was one of six FA patients going through transplant while we were in Minneapolis, and all of the kids are doing well today. Keep the faith! You have the absolute best doctor available, and I can't say enough good things about Fairview (U of M Children's Hospital). They are the best!!

Greetings Lindsey & Family! My daughter is a BMT patient of Dr. Wagner's. You should feel VERY comfortable that you have the best doctor available in the treatment of FA. He patiently guided us through the tranplant process. Erin had her transplant in Minnesota last summer (at the age of 8), and she is doing remarkably well today. She received cord blood stem cells (a 5 for 6 match). We were a nervous wreck as we planned for the transplant -- but Dr. Wagner and the entire staff in Minneapolis were absolutely fantastic! We will keep Lindsey in our prayers as you work your way through this process. FA is a miserable disease -- but Lindsey will overcome this. Keep the faith, and know that many, many people are praying for her complete and total recovery. God bless!

As another FA mom, I just wanted to stop in and say hello and let you know that we are praying for your family. We too are big fans of Dr. Wagner. I know that my son would not be here today if it were not for him. I also have an almost 6 year old who sees Dr. Wagner once a year for her BM biopsies. I just trust him with all of it a lot more. We will be back soon to check in on all of you again.....
Take care and Blessings,

Hi, I don't think I have signed your guestbook before (or maybe i have - I've looked at it several times!). My little one also has FA, she'll be three in October. I could really relate to what you were saying about when you watch Lindsey while she is sleeping and the things you described. It brought tears to my eyes because I know exactly how you feel. There are times I just watch Emma and know one day I will be missing her. Sometimes it's hard to not think about the future and be afraid of what will happen. Lindsey is a beautiful little girl. I can't remember if you mentioned anything about going to Camp Sunshine this year. If you are, we'll see you there. If not, we'll be wishing you were there:-)

Love,

I have granddaughter that is 2 1/2 years old she is my very best friend. she was diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia when she was born. I truly understand what your family is going through. My daughter was very young when she had my granddaughter (Alicia). She has a whole bunch of denial, so I carry alot of the madness on my shoulders. She is very small like your daughter, at 2 1/2 she only weighs 20 pounds.I feel the support from people who understand really helps. Your family will be in our prayers.

Victoria,
I am River's aunt, I heard about Lindsey's FA from his mom. My heart goes out to you guys. My 5 year old has autism, so I completely understand the mixed emotions a parent faces when they can't "fix" their baby. Lindsey is blessed to have such caring parents and I know how you feel truly blessed to have been sent such a special angel from God. You and your family are in our prayers. We are living in the time of research and cure, so hope is not unrealistic and prayer IS being answered.

To Bob,
I know it often seems unfair when we get hit with unexpected things. I would like to encourage you that God, will never leave you nor forsake you. Through the weak moments and all the bad thoughts, remember the road map (the Bible) which God has left for us. He did tell us that he came to heal all manner of sickness and diseases. He also says with his stripes we are healed. The race is not given to the swift nor to the strong but he who endures to the end. Hold on my brother, a change will come if you continue to look to the hills from which cometh your help and remember all your help comes from the Lord. Lindsey,
You are absolutely beautiful! My son also has FA. He is 6 years old and his name is Will.
We have a saying, "Where there's a WILL there's a way"! The truth is, where there are wonderful kids (like you), with caring and determined families (like yours), there is always a way!
I will be checking in on you and I look forward to getting to know you better!
