Hey Little Guy - I still miss you so. Read this eulogy and thought about you. You still live in my heart - always a part of me. You didn't die, you live on in your legacy.
Do not stand at my grave and forever weep. I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn’s rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and forever cry. I am not there. I did not die.

Hey Little Guy,
Forgot to tell you, your favourite band dedicated their album to you (and another little girl). It says you were their inspiration. As you are mine! The album is awesome - you would have loved it - especially "All I need is a miracle". We saw them at OppiAarde and they rocked. When they sang Hallo - all the memories came flooding back and it was as if you were there with me. I bet you were! Love Ya

Hey Matt,
August and September have come and gone. Its a year since you passed on. We put some petals in the ocean for you. How I wish we could have taken you there. I miss you so much, my little guy. I wish I could say it is getting easier, now that a year has gone, but you were so larger than life, and the gap you have left is still so big. I try to remember the lessons you taught me - to live, love, and be the best I can be - to release myself from holding back. You had so much to do - so little time. You changed me forever. I love you. In the words of Pearl Jam's Last Kiss - "(s)he's gone to heaven so I've gotta be good, so I can see my baby, when I leave this world.

Hello Mr Matthew!
I remembered it was to be your 4th Birthday. You know little man.. your Mummy, Daddy & Niki would of put on a big party for you! Clowns! Balloons! Cake! Music! (Kylie Minogue of course!) and I think they would of taken you back to the Zoo, the place with all those big animals you visited last year. But most of all, lots of love & kisses & hugs would make your day so special! When you meet with them again, you will have lots of special parties and celebrations!

We miss you Matty, and we love your family!

Dear Janice, Alistair, Nicholas, Keith and Sally,

We never had the privilage to meet Matthew but heard all about him from Keith, he was so proud of Matthews progress all along, every time Keith was in toti he would update us on his progress and the beautiful write up that Sally did for the South Coast Sun about her grandson Matthew made me realise what a special little boy he was. Thank you Sally.
To all the family our love and thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
I am sure Matthew is up there in heaven smiling down on you all and thanking you for all the love and support you gave him.

To Janice, Alistar, Sally and Keith,
I am so sorry you lost your beloved son and grandson, Matthew. When he arrived in this world, the odds were heavily against him, but with your love and tender care, he was a part of your lives for 3 years. What a wonderful addition, and a life changing experience for all of you.
Your lives have been enriched by Matthew's time on earth, and you will all have gained a very special empathy for persons living with a disability. After a while, as the grief softens and mellows, you will be able to use this experience to mentor other persons living with disabilities. Its a tremendous talent and is sorely needed in our fast paced world.

A Special Goodbye to Matthew from some Aussie Friends....
We know and understand how much you will be missed by your family and many other people. We were very blessed that we met you,and experienced first hand , the joy that you shared around. You met each day and its challenges with a smile. A lesson to all of us.
And now we have a 'dinky di' little angel up in Heaven to check out all our needs and help us meet OUR daily challenges.
To Janice and Alistair and Nicholas please accept our love and sympathy. We have just read your wonderful Eulogy to Matthew. Many difficult days lie ahead of you, and so our prayer for you is that you find the strength to be aware of God's comforting presence during these difficult days.

Dear Matthew and Nicholas!
A big congratulations to Matthew... the big 'talker'
Isn't 'elephant' a fun word!
Another fun word is 'kangaroo'. Can you try that one?
Maybe 'Granny Sally' can teach you 'Ag pleeze Daddy...."?!
(one day!!)

And to Nicholas, the big 'runner' , congratulations!
You were very kind to bring Matthew those balloons!

And to Janice, congratulations on your big '35'. I didn't realise you were so close in age to our daughter Nicole.. who had hers on 10th Feb.
We could do with some of your computer expertise over here!
You must all be very excited about Matthew's newest achievement..... hopefully compensating for the many technical frustrations with the equipment?!
It's nice to get such an up-to-date 'Preview' of the Family!
Best wishes to all!
Carmel

Janice, Matthew, Alistair, Nicholas,
Hello! Greetings from Houston, Texas! The pictures look so good- you have really done a great job with keeping up the website, and you have done an excellent job with caring for Matthew and each other! Congratulations!
Nicky- way to go on your first race! You did it!
Matt- you are an awesome big brother! I see you really like helium balloons, too! (so does Benjamin!)
Alistair- I appreciated your candidness in your letter to the Yahoo MTM group. So did my husband. It really helped him to realize that he wasn't alone in how he was dealing with things and in how he felt. Kudos to you!!
Janice- you're amazing! I get dizzy just THINKING about all the things you do each day! You go, girl!! You are an awesome mother, wife, sister, athlete, employee & Witness. Thank you for your kind words and your prayers for Benjamin, too. That is wonderful of you!
It's so good to see that you are staying so close as a family unit, and keeping on top of Matthew's ever changing, ever important issues, and still finding time for each one of you. So important...
Blessings to all of you. Godspeed.

Dear Jan, Al, Matt and Nick.... and Sally and Keith
Greetings from Sydney, Australia!
Congratulations on the Website. You are a family of many talents. We look forward to meeting you all in a few months time. Meanwhile, our prayers are with you as you continue to find much joy in your little boys. I think Matt has his grand dad's (Keith's) eyes......
I loved the photo of Nick, with 'bottle' in firm grasp, and eyes on Matt - defying him to snatch it from him?!!
Love from Carmel

Dearest Matthew, Your mommy and daddy have been blessed with an angel. Your Grand-dad told me all about you when you were born, and I have been itching to see pics of you! I have been praying for you and your family all along, because it is difficult to imagine the trials of your day to day life unless one has been there personally. I can only imagine. I can see that you have made friends overseas, and isn't is wondeful that mommy has someone to talk to who understands and shares information and concerns?
I think a web page is a perfect environment to keep everyone updated about how you are doing. Perhaps mom can add a link that explains exactly what your condition is etc??

Keep well special boy. There are many people who care.

With love

Matt, Jan, Al and Nick - hello to all of you.
Well done Jan, what a lovely site - you are always strong and an inspiration to all of us. Matt, you are doing soooo good, keep on going. I saw the letters that you baked at home schooling - they looked yummy. Your very proud Dad had already munched on half of the "M".
Love and hugs from your Aunty Judy
(Chris, Cammy and Errie send big hugs too)
