Full Stack Software Engineer


CaringBridge is a no-cost, nonprofit health platform that surrounds family caregivers with support while they care for a loved one on a health journey. We offer tools to share and document a health journey, simplify care coordination, and connect caregivers with a supportive community. With over half a million CaringBridge websites created since our inception, our platform has seamlessly integrated into the lives of users, becoming an essential companion during challenging times. Primary Objective of Position
You will develop modern, adaptive, cloud-based “serverless application” components and other modules which enable our cloud-based SaaS platform. Working within cross-functional teams in an iterative, Agile process, you will contribute to designs; implement prototypes for feedback; research technical solutions and third-party products for possible integration; implement production code; coordinate with system architects; and adapt to evolving business conditions in a collaborative, team-centric environment with very rapid execution. Excellent technical, communication and collaboration skills are required, along with commitment to enabling individual colleagues and the team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Expertly develop cloud-based “single-page serverless application” components (front-end and back-end), pipelines, data flows, and related infrastructure in AWS, using Lambda (Python), Cognito, AppSync, Step Functions, Kinesis, DynamoDB, React plus multiple ancillary technologies.

  • Contribute architectural ideas along with technology expertise to cross-functional teams designing next-generation serverless infrastructures and adaptive user interfaces.

  • Coordinate with technical architects and Engineering management to identify and implement technology best practices.

  • Implement prototypes for iterative feedback.

  • Research technical solutions and third-party products for possible integration, keeping colleagues and management informed of the evolution of appropriate solutions.

  • Contribute documentation, test automation, and technical presentations appropriately.


Experience and Technical Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience developing SaaS applications on AWS required. 5+ years of related software development required.

  • 2+ years of experience developing modern “single-page applications” using React required.

  • Proficiency in AWS serverless application components including Lambda, Cognito, AppSync, Step Functions, Kinesis, DynamoDB, S3, and related technologies.

  • Experience with Apollo, GraphQL, and related ancillary technologies.

  • Expertise with Terraform, Velocity, and ancillary technologies is a definite plus./li>
  • Knowledge of browser caching, browser compatibility issues, W3C standards, accessibility guidelines, responsive design, usability and front-end performance optimization.

  • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD concepts, test automation and modern Agile SDLC processes required.

  • Experience with CMS (for example, WordPress) is a plus.

Salary Range

Senior Accountant

Primary Objective of Position
Be a bridge between our financial information and the business partners throughout the organization who require financial insights to make sound decisions. To ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures and assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports. To perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient processing of accounts payable transactions. To prepare for the annual audit and tax filings.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day accounting and finance activities including but not limited to:

    • Process accounts payable and weekly check run.

    • Reconcile bank deposits on a daily basis.

    • Daily cash management.

    • Assist with payroll and benefits-related financial transactions, maintaining strict confidentiality with all associated information.

    • Record journal entries.

    • Reconcile balance sheet general ledger accounts monthly.

    • Own the completeness and accuracy of accounting records and QuickBooks.



  • Internal reporting including monthly financial statements, cash flow analysis, budget to actual analysis and KPIs.

  • External reporting including monthly and quarterly board reporting, annual financial statements and tax filings.

  • Lead in preparation and coordination of annual audit and tax returns.

  • Assist with preparing and monitoring annual budget. More specifically, provides fiscal support for the department by providing input for the departmental budget and manages within budget parameters to ensure financial benchmarks are met and proactive course correction is taken when necessary.

  • Assist with preparing monthly forecasts revenue and expenditures.

  • Assist in development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, processes and procedures relating to financial management. This includes maintaining familiarity with major changes in accounting policies in order to ensure that CaringBridge remains current.

  • Works with outside vendors to ensure CaringBridge is in compliance with all nonprofit requirements and that documentation for standards and state registrations is current.

  • Work closely with all departments at CaringBridge to provide financial and administrative information and services.

  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.



Experience and Qualifications
